Dead can dance is such a beatiful creative, deep and a inner free experience of energy and emotion. Truly an inspiration when I paint, but also one of the most beatiful soulful moments xxx
This is worthwhile time spent with Lisa Gerrard, whose sense of artistry (DCD created, as she puts it, a "wonderful sanctum" and "refuge") is matched, at times, by her infectious sense of humor (that refuge was from K-Mart, Kohls and Wal-Mart, and her mom is calling and will probably let it ring 50 times lol). You are fortunate, good sir, to not only be called by Ms. Gerrard, but to also be called "darling" (smile). I enjoyed comparing her response to portions of the film, apparently provided by her partner in the project, Marcello De Francisci, on their recently released single, "When the Light of Morning Comes," to mine. Readily agreed, we are, that the woman in the red dress is captivating and the scene is gripping, but unlike Ms. Gerrard, the subsequent "tower" did not evoke in me the "horror of Papal Rome or something like the Roman Churches." Instead, I saw, in black and white, another art form, namely architecture, raised as, yes, perhaps even a late-Medieval church, probably built with near perfect internal acoustics, within which church might well have played early chant, such as Gregorian, and sacred choral music composed by various masters of Classical Music. How different might have been the reaction if, say, full color close-ups of Michelangelo's paintings on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel had directly followed images of the "woman in red." Anyway, good show! I might also mention that, as I see it, Ms. Gerrard, when she speaks of not wanting to diet because her next meal might, quite rightly so, be her last, is blessed to have not altogether pinned her art to her external physicality. With that said, and here I presume to advise with tongue in cheek, she ought therefore be under no pressure whatsoever to emulate or follow the career path of less fortunate, if more highly paid, auto-tuned, twerking, Botoxic Hollywood musical celebrities whose Orwellian "music for the proles" is at best canned and whose bodies have been reduced to life-support systems for plastic mold injections.

Muy buena entrevista, felicidades por tener esta exclusiva tan cercana con Lisa. Se puede ver en ella la simpleza y sencillez como persona asi como su sensibilidad tanto como interprete y humana al momento de explicar las cosas. Su lenguaje y sus frases estan adornadas de poesia como cuando canta sus canciones. Dead can dance ha sido para mi desde hace mucho tiempo inspiración como músico, compositor y cantante, y esta entrevista me deja ver claridad de algunos aspectos y dificultades que desconocía de su proceso como músicos. Es por ello que tienen mucho mérito, por lo que son ejemplo para el mundo artístico. Espero ver una entrevista con Brendan, sería un honor escucharle en tu canal. ❤ Saludos de un chileno en España. 😊
