This concert was one of the most transcendental experiences that I had... I had a bad luck to have my ticket overbooked so I sat on the stairs in the farthest end of the hall. The hall has great acoustics and I did not regret the added colors of sound from my place, it really felt like traveling through a wormhole...

Back in the '80s, I was introduced to "Dead Can Dance" I have been a fan ever since...I had the great opportunity to see them live in Madrid. (Live not dead...LOL)
Emotion floods the room in the same way as the whole being of this great artist. It is incredible how her voice merges with the essence of the song and music of this culture despite not being hers. Something not seen, this woman made song reaches a state of trance that surrounds us who are lucky enough to hear it.
I was also on their concert in the Roman theatre in Plovdiv. It was amazing! I made some videos with my phone. They are in my profile. Sadly the concert wasn't filmed officially, like this in Bulgaria Hall.
I saw Lisa Gerrard in the early 90's at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA. Brendan Perry opened the the concert performing his solo music. Both of them, the two main members of Dead Can Dance doing their solo works separately. Lisa and Brendan were just great!

The instrument is gadulka. Bulgarian folklore instrument.
