So the bf pulled the entire grommet no just partial lip to stick the wire through but off, now he's having a hard time making sure it's in there tight. winter is coming and he does want all that crap coming on the cab. How does one make sure it's in correctly.
If you pull your carpet back on the driver side,There is a plastic plug on the floor board you can drill out and run wire to the engine bay.Just for the 411.I did a Aux beam power module with no problems.
Was not aware of this, thanks! Just want to add fog and bed lights to my Trail Boss using the GM accessory box, but it's expensive. If you look straight back from your Lasfit setup to the firewall, you can see two studs that GM uses for their accessory box mount. I believe they're on every truck regardless of whether they come with that kit. There may also be a grommet right there, can't look at my truck at the moment.
Great job brother. Those lights turned out sick!! Good job with the grommet as well. You just got to man handle that thing lol. Cant wait to see the chase lights as well. Look forward to the next video as well.
Quick question! I just got my Lasfit pods for my 2023 Z71. I added the accessory power box at the dealership but have no idea how to connect the pods to that Aux lever next to the lane assist lever. I would appreciate any feedback!
Yeah I saw that ! I’m Just got a fan of off the cross member drop stuff it defeats the purpose of a lift and I don’t need nothin crazy big once u get to tall with I’ll my overland goodies it get tipsy lol hoping to long travel In the future 👍
How hard was it to pull that rubber grommet and snack your wire in the side? I'm thinking of doing something similar. Is fuse 87 always hot? Or is it ignition based?
@@Downtimelost I just like that Switch Prism has the fuses built in and is essentially water tight. Just patiently waiting until I have the funds 🙃. Enjoy your videos though bro!
Not really I’m just waiting on @peaksuspention coilovers with resis with upgraded uca’s ! They should be out by the end of the year! I just don’t like the cross member drop stuff in my opinion it just defeats the purpose of a lift , but to each there own. It looks nice just not my cup of tea
Did you get the 430torque calibration? I did and payed 395,,,, I also payed for the labor,,,but someone on You Tube said I wasn’t suppose to pay for the labor cause it was included in the price of my truck,,,can you please tell me if this is true,, if so I’m bringing my receipt and telling them to give me that money back, also if it’s true who should I talk too at GM? The total price was over 600 dollars! Also, I don’t feel a huge difference ,is their anyway I can go to another dealer and verify they DID calibrate it to the HO calibration!
I did not but thinking about it , dose it realy not feel any different? That’s kinda shitty, u should probably just ask some others what they had to pay cuz that’s messed up :/
Curtis Schimmoller dang! I hooked up to 83, the LED cargo lamp, and my lights turned on. I walked away for more than half an hour with the truck locked, lights were still on. Are you sure this fuse is switched?
@@Downtimelost hmm, well now i know there must not be any switched fuses in the engine bay, im interested to know how you got through that grommet. Ive tried and it aint easy!
That switch is a switched ground. In the passenger rocker there should be a black and white wire capped off that goes to that. You will need a relay and to wire that relay using that ground as a switch
@@Downtimelost sounds great! I like how quiet the truck is while cruising, but would like more grunt when accelerating. Would you say this Magnaflow is quiet while in the highway too?
how much was it vs the one that chevy has for the colorado and you do not need to have anything into the fuses or wires to the battery there is a connection for gm's version
Thank you for showing the grommet that everyone and their dog talks about but no one actually ever shows a picture of it

Interesting install. Was looking for a way to go through the firewall on the passenger side. Good timing!
Lol happy I could help ! 😂
Nice job on this. Gets me some good ideas
Sweeeeeet thank you sir !! I’m happy I could help out 🤙
What kind of fuse tap did u use or if u have a link. Plus I'm trying to connect fog lights which fuse u recommend for that
The kits normally come with a fuse tap !
@Downtimelost i see do u know if it's a mini fuse or a micro 2 fuse.
@ I believe it’s a micro 2 fuse I had to order a kit with a bunch
@Downtimelost cool thanks I saw that on amazon I was not sure which type of fuse it was on the colorado. But now I know what to order

I have never done this type of thing before so forgive me for asking a dumb question, but what product do you use to tap the fuse?
No dumb question here ! The kit comes with a fuse tap! Simple plug and play with one crimp 👍
do you have any mods on your suspension to allow for that flex ?
I have an icon stage 5 kit now and she works wonders !
Is there a way I could run the headlights on that panel?
Not sure 🤔 if there’s a will
There is a way ! 😂
Did you drill or how did you get thru the grommet on the passenger floor board
I just pulled the grommet over and pushed the wire threw , not on the floor board on the passenger fire wall 👍

That switch is a switched ground. In the passenger rocker there should be a black and white wire capped off that goes to that. You will need a relay and to wire that relay using that ground as a switch
