Another excellent video & just picked-up my Colorado over the past weekend. My first mod was removing the dealer installed sidesteps & spray painting the exhaust black (using high temp paint). Your truck is looking top-notch. 👍🏻

I really feel like they should come standard, but since they don’t, it’s definitely a must. The 2024 is awesome man, you have the upgraded dash which I wish I had.
Travis, I added all LED lighting like you did. The issue I am having is that even though my headlights are programmed for "Auto", they come on every time I start the truck, no matter how dark or light it is. I also have to manually turn the driving lights on and off. If I don't turn them off they stay on when I turn off the truck. I am going in for diagnostics next week to have that looked at, as well as my blind spot monitoring in the mirrors. Those things are like a light show the way they go on and off even with nobody around!

Also a former Jeep guy now in a 24 Trail Boss. Can confirm that metalcloak is the GOAT of lifts. RC has good customer service, but if you intend on wheeling often, you should stick with your gut and get a quality lift. Love the videos, shipmate! Definitely helped me when I was looking for good bulb options to replace those trash halogens.
@JT4X4OFFROADING not gonna lie, it is a nice feature. Not sure why they chose to not go that route for the 23 models, but it does the job all the same. Did you have a link to the brackets you have your pod lights mounted to? I had wanted to do the same. My plan is to use a bullet point mounting system to attach a Voswitch 8 gang panel to for accessories since chevy left out AUX switches. On the bright side, we can say we already had lockers prior to lights 😄 🤣
Not a fan of that cover, I have a hard top folding cover for my work truck and will be getting one for my Colorado. The heat here in Texas would eat a cover like that for lunch, not to mention the rain would stretch it out pretty quickly.
Pretty sure your supposed to leave the end of bed cover up, close tailgate. That rubber strip goes on top of tailgate to seal. I have the same bed cover. Also put a tape on those tires they're more of a 33x11 ... misprint on nittos sight. Probably closer to 32.75 ya i bought them because said 34 but they're not. You have to move up to 295-70-18 to hit 34. Just saying if anyone wants these will fit because not 34" tall tire.
Yeah you’re right they’re about .75 off, I’m pretty sure they put that on there because of the lug size. However, if I had the one step higher, I would’ve completely destroyed my fender walls so it seems like a perfect size if you are expecting to off-road, and have some flexibility without damaging everything.
So I definitely thought about it, when I purchased mine, the ZR2 was around 56,000 back in April 2023. I just couldn’t justify an extra $13,000-$15000 for a locker and some sweet shocks.i grabbed the Trail Boss for 40k or so
Not being a troll, but why didn't you just buy a ZR2? You're putting more money into the trailboss? Plus the ZR2 has way better shocks that are actually placed differently as well, upgraded dash front and rear locker
At the time of needing a truck they were not in production unfortunately, about 4 months later they were coming out and yes I should have maybe waited but 10K extra for lockers and some heated seats IMO was not really worth the extra cash . I was going to lift the trail boss anyways.
@jessaandtravis Yeah, I get it. I built a trail boss and a Zr 2 online. And after you put the essential stuff you need On the trail, boss, it's only about a five thousand dollar difference then the ZR2, But that's cool truck it's gonna look nice
So we are now to a point where we need to protect our durable bed liner products with a protective liner. FOR DARN SAKE, THEY ARE TRUCKS! Saw this happening in the 90's, EVERYONE started wanting trucks (not a bad thing) but they didn't want a truck they wanted a truck that drove and rode and had ALL the "creature comforts" of a CADILLAC. Of course, Detroit listened, and now those who grew up with trucks can hardly afford these trucks. I don't want to hear about "oh you can get a fleet type truck" well those went up in price to follow the rest of the packaged trucks and Detroit made sure that to take a "work" packaged truck you were NEVER able to get all the basic needs in a package allowed for that trim. I don't need Bose, I don't need carpet, i don't need power windows or door locks, don't need heated and cooled seats etc... a truck needs good power, good towing abilities, good brakes, good cooling system etc... Nowadays you could add a system for computers/cell phones because they are necessary tools for alot of jobs. Thanks to all of you wealthy urban people for asking Detroit for more more more and taking "trucks" away for the average guy who's putting seed in the ground, building infrastructure, welding, paving etc... Lucky day for you, I have zero issues with this truck. If you go on the forms, you’re always going to find the one percent that had something going on. I know several people that have these and none of us have had any issues.
@@JT4X4OFFROADING Thanks for the response. 🍻
Yeah, but what protects the top liner from all that stuff?
The top liner is a durable water, resistant stain resistant weather resistant top, they have specific spray that you can spray on it every now and then to clean it, but typically it doesn’t require any maintenance
@jessaandtravis I was being silly since the bedliner is supposed to be durable, lol. As some have figured out......they aren't always very good.
@@ronaldholverson257 Oh lol definitely. We will see in the long run, I sometimes have the cover up so that will determine it’s durability
@@JT4X4OFFROADING lol that makes sense.
JT4X4 - (or anyone) I placed the H11 LA AIR LAS FIT LOW BEAM on my 2024 Colorado Trail Boss and I have slight very minor flickering (hard to even notice) has anyone else experienced this with the LAS FIT H8,9,11 6000k low beams (for the 2024 trail boss) ?
No issues here, once in a while when i flick my wiper blades they flash
A bed liner to protect the bed liner? Sometimes it’s too much man it’s a truck!
I mainly use it because it’s rubberized so my stuff doesn’t slide around
I have a colorado w/t and it will not be on any trails only gravel roads sometimes...not need monster tires or skid plates ...seat covers would be nice before i wear the seats out...i have a fiberglass cover on the bed better than the vinal ones .cant be cut or leak..it locks too.a.r.e....big tires not good for gas milage and hard on the front end...im keeping mine stock..2019 .has extra cab and 6 foot bed...used taco are over priced...most of them for sale were dogged out....it has 4×4 TOO.
Nice man it sounds like a good ride!
Also a former Jeep guy now in a 24 Trail Boss. Can confirm that metalcloak is the GOAT of lifts. RC has good customer service, but if you intend on wheeling often, you should stick with your gut and get a quality lift. Love the videos, shipmate! Definitely helped me when I was looking for good bulb options to replace those trash halogens.
that 24 Trail boss must be nice with that new big screen in there, thanks for watching brother!
@@jons2937 I use these! amzn.to/3vAX5GW
@JT4X4OFFROADING solid! Thanks for the info. Gave you a follow on Instagram. Looking forward to seeing more content.
Not a fan of that cover, I have a hard top folding cover for my work truck and will be getting one for my Colorado. The heat here in Texas would eat a cover like that for lunch, not to mention the rain would stretch it out pretty quickly.
yeah, maybe for Texas, here in Virginia we don’t really have that problem. It rains, but rain doesn’t sit on it because it hits my tent.
Protecting your rhino liner...😂
Yes!!!
@@JT4X4OFFROADING it's just a misprint, still plenty of tire for these little trucks.
@@SuperDave-pe1zw absolutely
Bro should have forked over some extra cash and just got a zr2. You'd have had all that already and more.
So I definitely thought about it, when I purchased mine, the ZR2 was around 56,000 back in April 2023. I just couldn’t justify an extra $13,000-$15000 for a locker and some sweet shocks.i grabbed the Trail Boss for 40k or so
Oh my gawsh he called me babe
@@B-rad303 yeah man if the ZR2 had been available I would have pulled the trigger for sure.
Window tint is dangerous at night and illegal here
That’s only if it’s extremely dark not factory
The sun is dangerous in day....
BED PEOTECTION FOR THE BED PROTECTION, LIKE WEARING 2 CONDOMS
The bed mat keeps all my gear from sliding around on the plastic rino liner lol it’s really that simple.
Hi,can we collaborate on 2023 Colorado accessories about your TH-cam?
I will sell you my stock Gen3 rock sliders I'm ripping off my 2024 ZR2 in a month as I'm installing Go Rhino RB30 slims. Let me know if anyone is interested (located in MKE, WI).
