The band is called the Shadowboxers. They asked Chris to do an impromptu performance with them, and this happened.
He was in the audience and they asked him if he wanted to come up and sing.
That is a once in a lifetime kind of talent. Born with it, not taught.

Something I’ve always loved about this clip…the shocking look on the musicians face behind him.
What makes it better is this is not Chris's band this is the Shadowboxers which are a pop r&b band... They were doing a couple nights in a club in Nashville and were theming the nights this one was their funk night.. They knew chris, in passing, but asked him if he wanted to come to the show and while he was there he decided to get up with them and perform... So this whole performance of its a mans world was impromptu and improvised...
