    This was awesome! I'd love to see other "last minute" terrain builds and ideas

      @@ConstructedChaos what we’re your print settings in prusa slicer
      Just start printing on a FDM printer 🖨

      @@deantareach8217 .2mm layer height with print bed at 60 degrees and nozzle at 210! I know there are a lot of other possible settings so if there’s anything else you’d like insight on specifically, let me know!
      I will say that I invested in the Prusa mostly for its ease of use! It’s been very much a “plug and play” experience outside of actually building it!

    That was a timely video my friend. My players just started an adventure at the base of a huge mountain chain they have to climb and I was wondering if I just wanted to use my current forest themed terrain of make some new hills. The idea of using 3D printing to complement my crafting is just what I needed and what made me think I can have a bunch of hills/rocks in time if I print some and craft some like you did.
    Hurray for procrastination! :D

      Haha the truth is that Tuesday’s are always my “crafting days” before we stream on Wednesdays so it’s always sorta last minute. It helps having terrain that can be reused for a lot of things so your efforts are always doubling over every week!

    Fantastic production value and love the end result! The layer lines on 3d printed rocks look great too, adding to the... "Rocky-ness"

      Thanks so much! Means a lot coming from the man himself!!
      It’s so tempting to just 3D print everything but sometimes foam is the answer! Haha

      @@ConstructedChaos Absolutely bud! Yeah I like that you showed both options, sleeping while things are printing is definitely appealing 😅

      @@SebastianKussowski I must admit I started as an old school craft it yourself kind of guy and I learned that time is the most valuable resource of all. Yes, having the feeling to put something on the table that you crafted yourself is sooo much better than using 3D printed terrain, but having a *finished* table (painted and all) that you had the time to complete is also a very good feeling compared to having a bunch of started project you did not have the time to complete in time. :P

    This is really cool! Could you be a little more specific about the kind of foam you used for this? I looked up "polystyrene foam" and bought some, but it just ended up being regular styrofoam and not like what you had.

    • @ConstructedChaos
      @ConstructedChaos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes of course! You should probably look for XPS foam (it's usually in a pink or blue color depending on where you live!)

      They’re the canyon rocks from Printable Scenery! I think I linked them in the description but they also have the “grotto” style rock terrain that looks really nice!
