- On Tuesday’s (July30) episode of #EverydayStuggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks are joined by artist and actor Machine Gun Kelly, who recently dropped his fourth studio LP ‘Hotel Diablo.’ MGK opens up about recording process of his latest project and how it’s his most honest body of work as of yet. The Ohio native also speaks on how he felt misunderstood the first years of his career and what it was like signed to Bad Boy during those times. Later in the episode, MGK touches on last year’s beef with Eminem and reveals his true feeling during the brief back and forth and whether or not he would be down to collab with Eminem on a track. MGK then shares with the EDS trio details about his upcoming movie with Pete Davidson and why it’s like to prepare for an acting role as opposed to a musical project.

I listened outside cause didnt have money to go in.he was on my playlist day in day out since 09.He saved my fckn life. He pushed me "to keep chasing pavements" *Now* i have 2yrs clean! Start a job monday im nervous lol but change is good..scary but good. so much respect and love to him i wish him the absolute best❌❌🙏

Seeing how uncomfortable he felt through the first half to seeing him get comfortable and open up more makes me so happy. It's clear to see he's going through so much shit but then seeing a group of down to earth people having a conversation, just chilling. THAT is what he needs
There's something MGK says about creating his art from the perspective of the struggle, addiction, loss, underdog and now when he's a star, has everything he wants, the drugs and continuing his addiction is part of staying in that place in his head where he can continue creating art that is part of his identity. I relate to this so much, and I think others can to, how many people shake their heads and think to themselves "why the fuck do I always fuck shit up when things start getting good?". So many of us have been fighting lifelong difficult battles, that we almost lose sight of why we're fighting it, to get to the other side so we don't have to keep fighting and start enjoying. We all know that the best art, whether it's writing, acting, singing, etc usually comes from a place of pain, struggle, overcoming. It squeezes the best, the most honest stuff out of us.
MGK, you're a superstar buddy, you'll make great art with or without the drugs. As a fan of yours I hope you enjoy a long successful life with your family, and if that means evolving from your MGK persona, I will still be your fan.

If I’m sober and out in public or even with a group of friends, I’m silent and thinking about something else or wishing I was at home in my room. But, if I’m drinking, I’m talkative; joking and laughing about everything. From my perspective, it’s a matter of not being comfortable in my own skin. I think a lot of people relate to this, and that’s why we depend on substance to open up and feel good. I don’t wanna be constantly shit-faced just to talk to people, so I’m gonna work on it, or at least attempt to. The body can only take so much, so I know my limits, I hope kells knows his.
This was by far the best MGK interview ever! They all did a great job reading his body language, and constructing the questions of the interview. It was cool that they had a chill conversation. They didn't just grill him with the EM beef for click bait. Great interview. #Est4Life

I don't think he knows how talented he really is. I think that's something he's familiar with and his best music has come from the pain, but there's so much beauty in happiness too, he just hasn't truly had it in his life. I have faith he's going to get there.
He has to find peace within himself and peace with who he is as a person. He has it all..but still turns to drugs which means something is missing. He has a void. It's a long struggle to be "ok" with yourself. It takes years. Hope he makes it before it's too late. And I'm an Em fan.

I have watched my mother struggle with addiction all my life, she was addicted from 21 until she was 45. Thank god she never died but K has helped me cope with that shit and he has helped me cope with my own shit. I hope that he can find it in him to get sober, because as someone else mentioned, I don't want to read "Colson Baker found dead" Whether it's like Mac or Peep or if it's like Chester. Seriously. I've been down with MGK since about 2011 when I was introduced. I watched him open for Tech N9ne in 2012 during his first tour, I fan girled the fuck out during the VIP meet and greet, almost worse for him than Tech and Krizz. I've watched all his shows/movies. I listen to his interviews, not only because I'm a huge fan, but because I want to hear how he is doing. How he is coping. If something in his mind has changed on his perception of his drug use. He wants to see his daughter do everything and grow old and shit but I'm so worried about that dreaded headline. MGK has gotten me through so much shit. And I wish he would take the words of his fans to his heart and turn things around before it's too late. Some of us need him, but there is one girl who needs him to be around the most, his daughter. His music is deep as fuck and I feel almost every song he has ever made, but I'd much rather know his mental and physical health is 100%. And even if his shit changed with sobriety, I'd still be standing behind him. EST for life.

The album before this I wasn't really feeling it and only listened to it once but hotel diablo I'll listen to it more than once I'm feeling it and I've been a Pusha T fan since he was in the clipse with his brother so I already know about his music. I would be pissed at Diddy if I was MGK because bad boy doesn't promote him from what I've seen since he's been on the label.
@Isardella Everybody has their own opinion I liked MGK's album and I've heard about the NF album I haven't listened to it yet but today I'll probably give it a listen and other than Diddy owning to revolt channel what has he done for MGK promotion wise besides his first album and I listen to everything as long as it sounds good.
