Went from average scrub to world's biggest superstar, literally overnight. Everybody in the world wants a piece of him...his own family tried to get one over on him. Everyone has ulterior or self-serving motives. Being on top can be a lonely f-ing place. I wouldn't want it, knowing all the caveats.
@@inflation1139yea but Eminem transcends kids. Nobody gives a fuck what kids like, only current starlets do. Eminem is praised by 2 or 3 generations of people around the world, that’s how you become superstar, it’s longevity
True story. I saw Drake at a lounge in Miami and people were like “oh look, there’s Drake” Eminem would shut down the whole city anywhere in the world. People underestimate his stardom.
@@greyfoxblade Em at the peak of his popularity ('01-'04)world wide was as known as Madonna and Michael, stop leaving in your little bubble dude, grandmas from villages in 3rd world countries knew who Em and Snoop were.
Crazy to think he's an introvert. I. His days with D12, tours, etc, he was always joking around, teasing people, being the center of attention and let's not forget breaking attendance records all over the world. For an introvert that's the life of an extrovert
@@JohnSmith-pg9ns to be fair he was around his boys a lot of introverts can become extroverts when they’re around people they’ve been friends with for a while
There’s also a lot of alcohol & drugs on tour… which most introverts at that level of publicity will usually almost always need to loosen up and end up getting addicted
Eminem in his last tour did 90k in London 2 days in a row , he broke the record of attendance in Australia 85k and Oslo Norway 54k , Milano Italy 85k , in 2014 he sold out Wembley 90k tickets in 45 minutes , he did 2 shows in 2 days .. Eminem is the biggest rapper in the world .. point blank.
And to think, they have him here as in #5... 🤣🤣🤣 They have #1 JayZ , #2 Kendrick Lamar, I believe Drake and Nas then Eminem... 🤣 Them Haters Gonna Hate... 🤦♂️
And now he got back to #1 hip hop artist on Spotify after Houdini. He’s always gonna be up near the top no matter how much the needle fluctuates. He’s always gonna be Eminem no matter what level streaming list. Even if he dropped to 20th
I laughed out loud when Benzino criticized Em for not being in the hood like Em can just walk down the street without being instantly mobbed and surrounded. No savings having ass Benzino can confidently walk through any neighborhood because if someone robs him they'll just be practicing.
Are you talking about no neck Benzino? I saw him at the mall obe day when he had the restaurant in South Dekalb Mall; he got mad because no one recognized him or fanned out over him.
Thing is Em has never been a hood dude I was close friends with Proof that hip hop circle in Detroit was small but Proof was rap co mates with Trick so Em still can go anywhere
This is why Marshall stays in Detroit because his "fame" doesn't affect how people treat him there. I read he can actually venture out comfortably in the D without the same level of media/crowds that he would if he were anywhere else. When the Superbowl was here in Cali, and everyone who appeared with Dre in it appeared for the pre-interviews that weekend, Dre said that Em wasn't in attendance because "ALL of L.A> would've needed to shutdown and the level of security would have been crazy." Even when Em was doing videos on IG from his hotel room, his manager Paul had him record in front of a white wall so that nothing would be accessible for people to try and gage where he was staying at, HE IS STILL RELEVANT and trolls like Benzino can talk all the shit they want, THAT part IS crystal clear and will likely never change. He's smart not to allow too many people in his circle. I keep my circle small, other than a few close "pals", it is only my family I let in. You literally can't trust anybody in this life. (Sometimes, those people ARE related too). Big UPS to the G.O.A.T. #StanForLife
I'm from Toronto, and if Marshall turned up here most people would either ignore him or give him a little extra look and think "gee, that dude looks like Eminem." It literally wouldn't occur to me that it really was him unless he was making a show of it, going around with a whole crew of bodyguards or having a store shut down so he shop in private. I remember someone saying many years ago that **Jennifer Lopez** couldn't go out in public, but Jenny could go to Starbucks or the beach or anywhere else she wanted to go because fame is a thing you can put on and take off. Lots of people look similar, and if these actors and artists want to leave the bubble, they just need a costume change. (On the other hand, I'm also not the kind of person who understands why anyone needs to tell musicians how great they are. Like, I gave you my money. That's compliment enough. I don't want or need an autograph or a selfie. You met a human?! They knew how to use a pen? Wow! Who cares?)
I'm kenyan, and if Eminem showed up i some areas ,we might indeed have a stampede...because those who don't know him would be so curious about why those who know him are fussing, and the crowd would grow to overwhelming proportions
@@FunkyLittlePoptartlol that may be how you feel. But you’re not ALL of Toronto dude. You can’t speak for every person in Toronto. Btw, he still signs autographs lol… he just doesn’t want to sign something if he’s clearly got his hands tied or occupied doing something hahah wtf you talking about. Every single one of us would be saying the same thing. You need a reality check for real… I live in CA, and can tell you there are celebrities here that aren’t even famous like that, and they shut you down QUICK over an autograph
@@theoutsiderjess1869everyone is too busy everywhere. Ppl are still ppl and if it’s Em, they’ll most definitely come up to him. Especially all the tourists from a ton of countries that come to New York. I live in CA (home to the most famous ppl on the planet) and they still lose their minds for Em
He’s getting the Michael Jackson treatment in terms of people swarming, chasing him etc. call you have to do is listen to the song Fine Line to know how he feels.
Ed Sheeran got the loudest cheers and applause when Eminem came out on his tour lol imagine how ball busting that is. Your own fans cheer louder for someone else for one song on YOUR OWN tour.
Naw the attention Michael got was on a WHOLE OTHER LEVEL! SERIOUSLY! 😂 but Em is a GREAT artist...One of my favorites. He most definitely get ALOT of attention. He seems like a humble guy. ❤
Eminem “I can’t take a shit in the bathroom without someone sanding by it, no I won’t sign an autograph, you can call me an asshole, I’m glad but I am whatever you say I am”
and 50 Cent has Eminem on speed dial and they drop random personal texts to each other lmao. Really shows how close they actually are as friends, almost like a brother
They have a true friendship. Also 50 won't ask him for shit. Anything business related 50 still goes thru Paul. Which shows the respect Em has for separating work and friendship.
I read a comment somewhere on TH-cam from a mom whose son went to school with Hailie but because she was so quiet and down to earth, no one actually knew she was Eminem's daughter until graduation day. And even then, Em was hidden somewhere so he didn't take away from the attention from her event. I think this was elementary or middle school because it wasn't a huge event. But the way he raised her also says a lot about how much effort he put into parenting. Give the man his credit, he was also busy being a good dad.
I respect that.. Joyner Lucas even did an interview for our students - now that's humble... About to collaborate with Eminem and he had time for us That is a stand up guy. Period.
Eminem has always remained in his bubble I mean back in the early 2000s he was touring and going everywhere, and reason he keeps a low profile is not only because of his fame but the world now today is pretty intense than it ever was as things be happening everywhere. We all know he stays on dial with Dre, 50, Royce and his kids plus another person he’s really close with is Elton John as they had a good friendship throughout the years many don’t talk about.
@@captaintoet1983 My opinion Snoop is flaky when it comes to his friendships. He started beef with Em over dumb shit and started bashing Em in an interview and then made it seem like he was offended by something Em did only to retrack his statements. Em is the way he is now with few friends because they rode with him since the beginning and are loyal.
In the benzine diss, he said something like, “why weren’t you at nips funeral.” I thought that was so stupid when I heard it. If Eminem was there, all the headlines would have been about Eminem being there. People would have swarmed it just to see him. He would have taken away from the situation by being there. To give the best support, let it be about nipsey. For Eminem, that means not showing up. It sucks, but it’s what it is when your star power is that massive.
It's impossible for Benzino to see things from Em's perspective but you couldn't have said anything that deserves more props than this comment. Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is literally not be there because that will cause trouble and in the case of someone of Em's level, it was for the best.
I see the idea you have on this. But at the end of the day, nobody knows why he wasn’t there, except him. Clearly he is private like that in all aspects of his life.
Idk what might have been the reason in the funeral case but Eminem did the same for his daughter by watching her crowned from a back room or something.
I remember Em doing an interview on the streets of Detriot when he first got big. He said in the interview that everywhere he goes, he has his security scope everything out before he comes out. I mean, he said, EVERYWHERE. And plus, everyone be coming out of the wood works once you got 💰 So I understand why he is the way he is with himself and his family.
@@nealcaffrey5320 the original comment was about having security with him everywhere. Those instances when people found him late at night alone was an example.
Shit that guy broke into his house not that long ago, security was definitely sleeping on the job. It’s a crazy life when you can’t be home and not worrying about someone coming in to do some foul shit.
People forget when em first blew up he literally had everyone from his mom to the kid that bullied him growing up sue him. Combine that with the level of stardom he has, and you can see why dude stays to himself and has a small inner circle.
Not to mention his struggle with addiction. I was an addict myself, but I am 7 years sober today. I believe Marshall just got his 16-year-old coin, which is dope. He deserves everything he has in life. He worked unbelievably hard for it, and he never forgot his roots. Also put a lot of people on and employed a ton of people.
You guys have no idea of the magnitude/magnetism of a star like Eminem. I had an experience working in a restaurant in Italy when Johnny Depp was at his peak with Pirates. He obviously closed the restaurant, but somehow the word got out. I swear to GOD, I blinked and a bunch of people were literally pushing against the glass to try to see him. 5 min later we had to call the police, the fire department and hell knows who else just to keep people SAFE! They will literally stomp themselves to get close to a star too. It's insane. Eminem can't just go out to buy a pack of cigarettes. He needs a disguise. They also have to deal with autograph hunters. People who go after celebs to get their signature so they can sell on Ebay. Everyone wants a little piece of you. It's crazy. You've gotta protect your sanity somehow.
I'll never understand it. Love the art, but they're just people. not gods. What does "meeting one" get anyone? Celebrity worship will forever confuse me.
But that not even just industry people. That's everybody you come in contact with in life. I don't even allow many people in my crib unless they're family. I don't have any friends but my wife. You can't really trust anybody unless you've had time to know them beyond the surface.
Just curious, what about all the people you have had “time to know”? Like people you grew up with, people you met in school, possibly college, etc? You never made any friends? Or just didn’t keep them as you got older? I understand that part, I’m 40 and obviously don’t have time for “friends” to the same degree when I was younger. But, I still have at least 6-7 people that I consider good friends that I could count on for almost anything. They are the only people I let into my home. I don’t know it just seems kinda sad in a way that you guys feel like there’s not good people out there / you can’t have / don’t want friends
@@Day-ZDuke there is such thing as changing your opinion over time. All because you were good friends when young, it doesn't mean you're going to be besties when you grow older. Circumstances change not just you, but other people as well.
It's not just "he's on that level/he's on a certain level/he's reached a certain level/etc". He's also extremely recognizable, both physically and verbally. The min he opens his mouth, no matter what tone of voice it is or what emotion is speaking. We already know it's him. Doesn't matter what he wears, whether or not he has a beard, or what color he dyes his hair. You automatically can spot him out of a crowd. All of those elements. Are powerless on there own, but greatly amplify each other all equally
My mom told me when I was young that in this life you will only have 1 true friend and if you're lucky you will have 2. I have 2 friends I still fuck with from high-school.
One of the reasons i fell in love w Em’s music is i had a similar upbringing. Crackhead crazy mom and not wealthy. Then i went to Afghanistan and all of the trauma just piles on. You literally do become just like marshall when you go thru a lot. Faces look more sinister and also you realize 95% of people have an agenda or only like you for something. That 5%? You hold on to them tight. You can tell Em has an inner circle and thats that. 50, dre, mr porter, royce.
One of the times I tried getting clean and sober was around 2012/2013 (I been clean since 2017 now) I ended up at a 3/4 house at Gratiot and 8 mile in Eastpointe. One of my roommates had this secret that he couldn’t let anyone know, well we found out, Eminem was his recovery sponsor. We had a limo showing up once or twice a week in front of our house to Pick up the kid he was helping. I guess dudes dad went to school with Em and reached out. One day he got out of the limo really, really quick and came inside the house to sign autographs. Then one time his sponsee was in the phone with him and we were all gathered around like idiots trying to listen and I guess Em could hear us all and he laughed and told my roommate, if they got anything they want to ask or tell me, do it now, so we each got to say something or ask something while he was on speaker, I was last person to go, my brain went sideways and I asked “do you really have an elevator in your house?” And he laughed hard as hell and said “yes, hard work pays off, but nothing felt better than kicking these drugs” and that has stuck with me since then. Miss all them guys. We didn’t even believe him until that limo showed up. And it was Em had gained a little of weight so when he got out to sign stuff for us, we barely recognized him, he was over 200 pounds. But he looked like a ball of energy.
Em is getting to a point where people almost view him not as a normal human. But as this lyrical God that can't be touched. Which puts him in a position where he can't act normal and stuff. Everyone just bas high expectations for the dude
DowntherabbitHole1111 That's right. He is not a lyrical God. But people across the world treat him as one. America, Asia, Africa, Europe. Everyone knows Eminem
I have never met a single individual that doesn’t like at LEAST one Eminem song, and cant quote at LEAST one of his bars. I’m talking all age spectrum. Old to young. Not one person. My grandmother at 83 could even quote the Hi My Name Is as a joke in casual conversation, and she was not a rap fan. Drake? Didn’t know a single one of his songs. Eminem’s music translates and transcends all barriers. Because his music is about his actual life and people relate to him. But he’s also funny, entertaining, innovative, and incredibly deep. Kdot gets close, but even he will never be Em. And like or not, Em will always be the GOAT.
Ive been saying it for a long ass time now ..Eminem is the Michael jackson of hiphop. They have so much in common in terms of their music changing the industry and their genre of music. GOATS
People who aren't famous wont understand. Imagine people coming up to you every country every city every corner turned in the entire world. For more than 2 decades. That shit would traumatize you.
Couldnt imagine. And on top of that every other rapper wants to test you whether in person or on the mic. People overlook this reason why eminem is so special. If you look at other artists with this level of stardom they all overdose or go crazy. Em is one of a kind when it comes to adversity.
@@VD-ky2ft they absolutely have no idea how it is to be him. The entire world usually has eyes on him for over 2 decades every day. They want him to come outside. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eminem WAS a big star. He’s not a big star anymore. He’s an ICON. A living legend. That’s much different than just being a big star. Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Prince, Lady Diana, Eminem, Beyoncé, these people had and have the level of iconic status that say, like, The Beatles had. They would just get mobbed if they just went out like a regular person. And as far as making new friends goes, pretty much any 50 year old (yes Eminem is 50 😂) has their friend set fixed and settled; most aren’t looking for new friends. The people they want in their lives are already there. 🤷🏼♀️ I’m not even 50 and that’s how I am lol. I have my friends from childhood, people I met on my come up, my family and wife, and that’s it. I’m not looking for new friends. The ones I already have are the people I know I can trust. It’s like I always say: more acquaintances, more problems. 😂

@@Belisarius-Flavius you missed my point. He’s more than a big star now. He’s an icon. Which is more than just some star. THATS what I wrote. I swear, despite being an Eminem fan, it seems like your language comprehension may need some work 😂.
It seems that Eminem treasures real friendships over fake ones, which is probably why he and 50 are as close as they are, because 50 never did him dirty ever.
Im from Perth, Australia. I can tell you when Eminem came to perform he filled up "Optus Stadium" with 60,000 people. Imagine going anywhere in the world and having that kind of popularity!
Probably because he's a human being and he just kind of wants to be left alone like most of us. Except us normal people have the freedom to just go wherever we want and do whatever we want he can't do that. If I saw Eminem out and about for some odd reason I would just nod at him and keep walking because I know that's probably what he would want. He doesn't want to talk to everybody he sees.
Joyner is a good dude. I think him and Eminem could be friends, it’s too bad he won’t let him into that circle. Em has to pass the torch at some point and I can think of no better person than Joyner Lucas.
@@epenies He hasn’t had very many interactions with Cole and he got put on by Jay Z anyway. Even Kendrick, while they are part of the same upper label they have only done one track together. Kendrick is more of a West Coast under study and was put on specifically by Dre. Eminem put on 50 and has attempted to put on many others since then like Boogie, Grip and Ez Mil- I just don’t think any of them have that star power to reach that next level like Joyner does.
A lot of hip hop culture already has guys they're setting up to pass the torch to, and they're usually they're signed to their label or have worked with them. Eminem has Westside Boogie, GRIP, and EZ Mill. Lil Wayne has Polo G & Lol Baby 😊J Cole has JID. Kendrick Lamar has Baby Keem. Drake has Yeat & Bad BunnyTravis Scott has Sheck Wes & Don Toliver. Playboi Carti has Ken Carson & Destroy Lonely😊Busta Rhymez has Skii Mask the Slump God & Da baby. uicy J has Denzel Curry. Even , Tech N9ne has King iso.
@@myjciskate4 I think Joyner keeping to himself and not having someone to mentor under sort of set him back. He gets to make his own money, but I’m not sure if he starts a label and gets someone to pass his own torch to. Em never got a high enough profile free agent for that passing to be valid. I guess he thought it would be Ez Mil by getting that Dre co-sign, but the closest he’s come is 50 Cent. They seem more like brothers than what this is, so I’m not sure that is what it’s supposed to be… If Jay has Nas and Dre has Kendrick as his number 2 after Eminem, then Em has at least one more in him and outside of Hopsin the other rapper that reminds me the most of him is Joyner Lucas. It would be crazy to see, but I’m sure it’s not going to happen. Em is way too reclusive.
You poke a stick at a pitbull, you get bit, B These words stick to you like Krazy Glue when you diss me 'Cause they just bounce off me, like bullets to 50 I'm the beautiful-lest thing and you gonna miss me when I'm gone - eminem.
I fully understand why he is private like that. Regardless of the level each person is at, if you have been through multiple levels of BS, you just hit a point as an artist or just regular person, you have had enough of the BS. So you pull that circle around you, real small. And only ride with a select few. The older I get, the more I do the same thing. I don’t need to have a bunch of people around me, who have superficial love for you. And nefarious intentions.
One thing I wanna mention that I’ve seen no one talk about on this topic, is that Em actually talks about this in “The Way I Am” Go back and listen to the song, actually one of my favorites and he goes off on how ppl wouldn’t leave him alone in public
Having boundaries is a skill you build over time especially if your a genuine human being who wants to interact in a positive manor, and get close with people. Everyone is your enemy, and that's how you should move first before anything. Just be cool, and ease off. Know when to draw the line, and learn to say no.
Em is very introverted, it probably takes a certain number of people to get him to come out of his shell. It’s not weird at all. He doesn’t follow nobody on Instagram for a reason. It simply doesn’t care about social media he uses it because he’s an artist. Same thing with people he uses music to elevate the connection within others is different ways, he probably doesn’t really care about chillin outside of that
Eminem is a Top 25 most famous person on Earth. He’s in that rare collection with Trump, Obama, Putin, LeBron, Michael Jordan, Oprah, The Rock, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezoz, Bill Gates, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Drake, Robert Downey Jr, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ronaldo, Messi, Mr Beast, Kim Kardashian, Kanye, etc. (plus 1 more)
A bunch of Americans and the only two football players you’ve heard of. There are 2 BILLION people in both China and India… but not a single one made it onto your list of famous people in the world.
Eminem on Xzibit’s song “Don’t Approach me” (this was in the year 2000 btw) “And it's a disgrace Hailie can't play with her toys In the front yard without you drivin' by honkin' your horn Screamin' some shit, leanin' out your windows, beepin' and shit Or pullin' up in my drive like I won't leap in your whip And so these kids tell their friends and relatives where I live So my address ends up on the Internet again So then, I do an interview with Spin, tellin' them That if someone comes to my crib, I'ma shove a gun in their ribs And reporters blow it out of proportion Oh, now he's pullin' guns on his fans, just for tryna stand on his porch And I'm the bad guy, ‘cause I don't answer my door, like, "Hey! Hi! You guys wants some autographs? Okay, form a straight line!" Sometimes I feel like loadin' this rifle And climbin' the roof at night and hidin' outside to snipe you It's not that I don't like you It's just that when I'm not behind the mic, I'm a person who's just like you”
Lots of people don't understand where people like Em come from. Imagine your upbringing was so terrible and traumatic that it literally molds you into something you'll become for the rest of your life. And even through your adulthood the nightmare doesn't stop. People backstabbing you, lying, cheating, stealing, abusing etc. It doesn't matter how much money or how famous you become, you wear those scars for life, mentally, physically and emotionally. I can relate to Em. As they say, Em is as real as they get.
Hearing Joyner talk about getting on a phonecall with Em and why he is like that and remembering how Pink said she emailed him when they spoke makes so much sense.
I wonder if he'd trade everything to wake up as a regular person with just 1 or 2 million Wonder how bad he'd want that Oh but let's be real for a second if he REALLY wanted to he could get some of the best plastic surgery and "disappear"
You often lose your own soul when you gain the world(everything you could ever want). That's why i respected Prince he lived a humbled lifestyle, he pivoted towards a higher purpose later on in life and dedicated it towards trying to preserve the legacy and integrity of his people. He tried but he was only one man with a vision and could only prevent so much from happening after his demise
It's obvious that Em is a very private person. Despite being a rapper, he's never been the type to show off or the type that wants the spotlight on himself. The only time he does, is when he's performing a song/show/concert etc. Even then, I bet if Eminem could've sat back and just made music without ever touring the world, he probably would've been happier doing exactly that! He's the type of guy that knows thousands of people that all consider him a friend, but he probably only calls 2 or 3 people in his life his actual friend. So when I see "why Eminem is never around and doesn't have many close friends".. it's obvious to me! He's wired almost exactly the way I am! I'm 40, and only have two friends. Not because I can't have more.. but because I have a huge lack of trust in people in general. I keep people at a distance by choice! I love my dog more than 99% of the people in my life!
6:03 I believe he talks to 50 all the time he even trolls him which is funny because I don't even think 50 realizes that Eminem's trolling him but 50 is the king of trolls so that's interesting
But, I remember Em said in interview that he actually come out quite often without people knowing. More than people think... Maybe he disguised himself?? Btw, I watch that behind the scene with anderson copper too. They had to move quickly & change scenery fast before crowd formed
I thought eminem and Joyner were good friends until i saw this. Of course they would still speak to each other on a need to know level. I agree with how eminem has to live because of his fame, i understand why he doesnt want any new friends. It would be hard when you have that trauma
It would be a nightmare being famous in America as people expect celebs to do something fascinating all the time. In my country very famous people are left alone and the public here would be embarrassed to blindly walk after someone shouting at them. A lot of celebs have get away places in the Irish countryside purely for that reason. Celebrity culture American style is a whole other level of cringe inducing weirdness.
I move like that right now & ima nobody. People who havnt had a fucked up life since elementary/middle school will never understand why people grow up to be like that. Im exactly like that an only if people like us are drunk or under the influence are stand off ish especially to go from where eminem was to being rich an famous its even worse. It isnt just bevause his fame 80% of it has to do wit what he went thru before fame. It takes years to become bitter an closed off an get set in your ways an it really sucks when you dont even have kids or family. Imagine if he didnt have hailey. Im tellin you i have no kids an i hate how i am inside. I couldnt imagine how bad it would get if i ever got rich an all of a sudden went from literally spending everyday an night alone. Going days wit no texts or calls besides work related to millions of fans an shit. Its crazy. Plus doing drugs for so long then getting off them detox is is just the beginning. The dammage it does to your brain an....anyway this comment is way to long. But yeah. Just in case anyone thinks hes an asshole or stuck up its completely the opposite.
man i'm really sorry you had to go trough all of it.. i hope your life got better by that month, if you need to talk or something reply to that comment. It's really sad to hear that so much people went trough the same stuff in their younger days as em did, cause to me it sounds just almost unbearable to experience and stay sane. sometimes hearing all these stories from comments under his videos and stuff or just listening to songs makes me regret that i even feel bad about my life sometimes
It is surprising that anyone would refer to Em’s fever pitch fame in the past tense. All you have to do is watch that Super Bowl appearance he did. The crowd was cheering at all the performers but when Em popped up, he almost brought the stadium down. You can measure his impact in decibels. Legend.
When every rapper brings up EM just to be relevant or try to put some fuel in their little 🚀 then you catch a glimpse of how polarizing EM still is. Charlemagne knows damn well EM is MJ level (Michael Jordan/Michael Jackson) famous..past/present/future superstardom god/goat status.
There's no rapper on the planet more famous than eminem. Even people that don't listen to rap. Music knows who he is when you start to get in that territory you know you're goated
Em spoke about it, he wanted to known as the best but wanted nothing of the fame, he said he wanted to be able to go out and eat a burger like a normal fucking person
That must be horrible. Can't trust many people, can't go wherever you want even though you have money to do whatever you want. You live like a prisoner in a way.
How quick they forget... Netflix needs to do an Eminem doc then the mainstream new gen will understand how GOATed he is. Dude is a household name my mom/young kids know who Eminem is..lmao
Eminem and kendrick are both like this. They dont like fame. They have a small circle of friends and family and theyre good. It also helps in battles.. people like drake cant dig up stuff on you. I wonder of kendrick noticed how em moved and followed suit. I know he studied his rapping back in the day so i feel like its not too much of a stretch. But could just be who they are. I mean it makes sense. Honestly these level of lyricist are homebody nerd types most likely.. theyre critical thinkers. I know Rihanna said Eminem always studies music and talks music.. he's not a regular dude.
No shit bro. This is why we think you guys who talk shit about him not going to a rappers funeral or being seen everywhere are just hating. He talks about it in alot of songs
He does autograph etc. He is a really decent man. But he was smart. He kept the kids out of Hollywood. And let them have a life without all the crazy paparazzi. And as he said. Michigan isn’t like LA and New York. Where you are followed etc by them. But he has said he goes around Michigan and has no issues. And if he is at his restaurant and you are there you would get a pic and an autograph. He is a very private person. And look how well his brother and daughters turned out. He did it all for them. Haile of course at first as that is his only biological child. And he wanted her to have the life he never had. I respect that. He gave up movies and 100 million$ tours and started touring less as he didn’t want to miss anything. And he was the only reliable parent they had. All kids are grown up now. So I hope he keeps doing what he loves.
This guy went from being on Ems side but agreeing with everything Benzino was saying when he was with him in that interview. you have said Em is not your cup of tea before and its ok. 😂😂😂
He could probably walk around in New york becase people here are two busy to truly process Emimem is here
I'm from Toronto, and if Marshall turned up here most people would either ignore him or give him a little extra look and think "gee, that dude looks like Eminem." It literally wouldn't occur to me that it really was him unless he was making a show of it, going around with a whole crew of bodyguards or having a store shut down so he shop in private. Wow! Who cares?)

In the benzine diss, he said something like, “why weren’t you at nips funeral.” I thought that was so stupid when I heard it.

Em is very introverted, it probably takes a certain number of people to get him to come out of his shell. It’s not weird at all. He doesn’t follow nobody on Instagram for a reason. It simply doesn’t care about social media he uses it because he’s an artist. Same thing with people he uses music to elevate the connection within others is different ways, he probably doesn’t really care about chillin outside of that
Eminem is the best rapper ever period.
Best rapper to each it's own...highest selling yes..
It’s not even close lmfao
Like dude said Eminem ain’t drop a album in like 4 years in still is the biggest artist in hip hop 😮
Eminem is a Top 25 most famous person on Earth. He’s in that rare collection with Trump, Obama, Putin, LeBron, Michael Jordan, Oprah, The Rock, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezoz, Bill Gates, Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Drake, Robert Downey Jr, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ronaldo, Messi, Mr Beast, Kim Kardashian, Kanye, etc. (plus 1 more)
Etc. lol
Please delete mr beast lol. He's far from the rest of your list 😂
Your list is trash dude.
A bunch of Americans and the only two football players you’ve heard of.
There are 2 BILLION people in both China and India… but not a single one made it onto your list of famous people in the world.
@@aarpoonwaify6694 Those are literally the most well-known A list celebrities that transcend continents.
Eminem on Xzibit’s song “Don’t Approach me” (this was in the year 2000 btw)
“And it's a disgrace Hailie can't play with her toys
In the front yard without you drivin' by honkin' your horn
Screamin' some shit, leanin' out your windows, beepin' and shit
Or pullin' up in my drive like I won't leap in your whip
And so these kids tell their friends and relatives where I live
So my address ends up on the Internet again
So then, I do an interview with Spin, tellin' them
That if someone comes to my crib, I'ma shove a gun in their ribs
And reporters blow it out of proportion
Oh, now he's pullin' guns on his fans, just for tryna stand on his porch
And I'm the bad guy, ‘cause I don't answer my door, like, "Hey! Hi! You guys wants some autographs? Okay, form a straight line!"
Sometimes I feel like loadin' this rifle
And climbin' the roof at night and hidin' outside to snipe you
It's not that I don't like you
It's just that when I'm not behind the mic, I'm a person who's just like you”
Lots of people don't understand where people like Em come from.
I get it man privacy is 🔑
Doesn't have anything to do with not "being able to walk the streets". It's got to do with people trying to throw you under to make themselves money.
He humbled Charlemagne real quick.
he was busy with people that mattered... he raised his children, his brother all into amazing human beings and a tight knit family
"was". Nah he will always be a huge star. He's like a madonna or a one of those world wide artists that years could go by but everyone knows eminem.
Hearing Joyner talk about getting on a phonecall with Em and why he is like that and remembering how Pink said she emailed him when they spoke makes so much sense.
That is why Em hates fame so much..
I wonder if he'd trade everything to wake up as a regular person with just 1 or 2 million
Wonder how bad he'd want that
Oh but let's be real for a second if he REALLY wanted to he could get some of the best plastic surgery and "disappear"
Yea you don’t play with the 🐐 unless you ready
That's why when Fifty got asked if it bother him that Em didn't follow him on Instagram, he scoffed and said nah, I'm on his phone
It didn't enter your mind bc you didn't wanna offend benzino
Nah, it genuinely slipped my mind. I've talked with Benzino on the phone a few times after our interview and I mentioned that to him.
It's obvious that Em is a very private person. Despite being a rapper, he's never been the type to show off or the type that wants
the spotlight on himself. The only time he does, is when he's performing a song/show/concert etc. Even then, I bet if Eminem
could've sat back and just made music without ever touring the world, he probably would've been happier doing exactly that!
He's the type of guy that knows thousands of people that all consider him a friend, but he probably only calls 2 or 3 people in his
life his actual friend. So when I see "why Eminem is never around and doesn't have many close friends".. it's obvious to me! He's
wired almost exactly the way I am! I'm 40, and only have two friends. Not because I can't have more.. but because I have a huge
lack of trust in people in general. I keep people at a distance by choice! I love my dog more than 99% of the people in my life!
6:03 I believe he talks to 50 all the time he even trolls him which is funny because I don't even think 50 realizes that Eminem's trolling him but 50 is the king of trolls so that's interesting
Joyner learned about Boundaries. Everyone should follow suit.
Eminem is smart...
dumb smart
But, I remember Em said in interview that he actually come out quite often without people knowing. More than people think... Maybe he disguised himself?? Btw, I watch that behind the scene with anderson copper too. They had to move quickly & change scenery fast before crowd formed
I thought eminem and Joyner were good friends until i saw this. Of course they would still speak to each other on a need to know level.
I agree with how eminem has to live because of his fame, i understand why he doesnt want any new friends.
It would be hard when you have that trauma
Marshal Mathers Eminem is timeless. Like rolling Stones, Beatles, Michael Jackson Aretha Franklin, Bach Beethoven, Mozart
Eminem watched his daughter get crowned homecoming queen from a school room window to not take the spotlight from her
I move like that right now & ima nobody.
“ I built this castle now we are trapped on the throne,
I'm sorry we're *alone* “
I mean Em even said in a song, he wish he could just walk into a Target browse around. The regular things he use to do before fame he misses.
No shit bro. This is why we think you guys who talk shit about him not going to a rappers funeral or being seen everywhere are just hating. He talks about it in alot of songs
These comments are a beacon of hope. Thank you, everyone!
Key word, BOUNDARIES
However for you to be eating out of Benzinos hand when he was there and still have no realization that there are tiers of fame and Em is on Top vs clout chasing Ben is bullshit.
Bruh i lived in a small country in asia, ppl knew about Em and his songs and that was before spotify or streamin existed. Em is the biggest
0:04 I haven't even watched this yet but being as famous as Marshall is and how much money he has there's going to be so many fake friends so how do you figure out or decipher you know real friends from fake friends. That's why I think he probably doesn't have many friends. And why you don't see him out and about because he would be swarmed by people it would be very hard for me not to go up to him and want to talk to him I don't know if I could do it I would at least like to be like hey good job don't listen to people Revival is amazing
I feel eminem is the most famous person on the planet like theres hardly anyone who doesnt know of him haha
Would be a blessing and a curse! I would just hang in my mansion forever
Sorry brother that you don't have more subs vs your views. Good luck and great voice and laid out perfect for podcasts
