    I grew up with heavy equipment much like your self. I was working all summer driving the watering truck, or directing traffic from 12 on. When I was 14 I helped fix a drive line on an old cat, I remember thinking it was so big we'd never get it fixed but my foreman knew how to fix any thing that had an engine. I really had a great time learning and working along side some great people. No video games, I was out side learning and doing real man stuff. Those summers changed me and gave me confidence and a good work ethic. No time clock punching , you work till its done. It was hard but I always think on those days fondly.

    I don't prefer digging this way, it leaves too much room for problems if you happen to run across an unmarked utility, like a phone or cable line. I generally do a 7-8 foot section at a time and dig it level all the way to the invert. I think if you try it that way it will be less abrasive on the bottom of your bucket and be quicker as well. Great video!

    Been there, 24" deep ditch for an electrical install, 520 feet, and most of it going up a hill with a small backhoe. (I'm glad I have my mini excavator now, that job would have been SO much easier.....)

    No challenge digging in that mostly sand /clay mix need a very rocky New England "soil" complete with glacial erratic boulders .
    Nicely done perfect slope and clean trench.

    Good shit but there's alot of wasted movement I see. For one try always coming out of your trench with a full bucket and the faster you get back in the trench, the faster you can get out. Just a couple pointers to help ya out. For the heat just drink plenty of water, I'm in AZ where we are laying pipe in 120 degrees!

    Just a request to make, do you think that you could put a camera covering the controls. I have seen your video on how to drive a excavator but it would help. Thanks

      I would love that. I don't mind helping out on the ground if I have to, but I much prefer being sat in a machine all day loading wagons and digging trenches. It's easy money.

    I learned any time you come out from the box,you come out at a 90 degrees, and after a short run you can start with a slow bending!

    Would not be easier to install a level sensor on the excavator with a magnet and keep digging without stops.Technically you need position the exc but you will spend less time to check the level you set up with a laser transit .Also you should ask a employee to wear PPE .Thank for the video.

    Hey boss I. Right down the street in Lancaster bubba you want another good operator hit me back I can carry my on on all rollers steers hoes pans trucks dozer lull Broome's pipework of all kind shapes and sizes I'm old school so the GPS may take a couple days but I'm good and got a good hard working back just message back and we can talk or if not it's all good there's work everywhere but I like ya style similar to my techniques very similar almost like we were taught by the same guy but that can't be true considering there is more than one way to skin a buck yet efficiency is fact as well as safety

  • @fivelands1
    @fivelands1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I want to remind the pipe coming out from the concrete box must come out perfect straight, than you add a turn with another pipe.
