Hello, thanks for your feedback. The exact costs related to travel, lunch , miscellaneous items etc. have been shared in individual videos of Kutaisi, Batumi and others. Requesting you to please watch other videos of the Georgia travel series based on your travel itinerary.
I appreciate your video. I thank you for your suggestions. Do you have any recommendations for restaurants in Tbilisi, Kutaìsi and Batumi? Did you go to Kazbegi? If so. How was it? Did your tour operators rush people through sites ? Did they give you enough time to explore places on your own? I am a solo traveller as well. I often explore places without the use of tour groups. I go crazy on research and planning before travelling. I would like to recommend Poland. Poland is great for travellers on budget. Norway is absolutely stunning, but expensive. Keep travelling. I wish you all the best. Thank you !
Thanks for your recommendations. Will surely keep them in mind.😇 With regards to restaurants - In Tbilisi - I would recommend - 'Pasanauri' - this restaurant is located very close to the Liberty Square (city centre). If you are looking to try authentic georgian cuisine then this place is the best. The quality of food is good and its quite affordable. In Kutaisi - I would recommend - 'Palaty' - this restaurant also specializes in georgian cuisine. However, on the weekends - it might get crowded. The food and overall ambience is awesome. In Batumi - I would recommend - 'Golden Adjara' - this restaurant is located right next to the Black Sea. It has incredible views of the Black Sea and the food is also very good. With regards to Tours in Georgia - I had pre-booked the Kazbegi Tour via Klook.com. The tour agencies name - Gamarjoba Georgia Tours The tour is very well organized and there is ample time to explore the various places on our own as well. The tour guides are very accommodating and share a ton of historical information. As a solo traveller, I also prefer to make my own arrangements and travel to different places. However, within Georgia - if you wish to travel to Kazbegi, Kakheti or any other region then it becomes very difficult to make arrangements. You can rent a car but it becomes quite expensive for a single person. I generally prefer to rent motorbikes or scooters but those are non-existent in Georgia Hence, It becomes easier to book a full day tour which cover many places at once. Georgia in itself is a very tourist focused economy so you will find many tour agencies within Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi. Hope this helps!
Hi Max, I'm loving your Georgia series! I'm from Mumbai, India, and I'm planning a trip to Georgia in October. Is October a peak season? I've noticed that flight, hotel, and tour prices for October are 40-60% higher. Am I looking too early? Should I start planning in August for an October trip? Thanks!
Hi, Yes September to October mid would be peak season. I would recommend book your hotel and flight tickets atleast 2 months in advance. I am not sure about tour prices as I travel solo. However, you can pre-book your in country tours from tour operators like Budget Georgia - www.budget-georgia.com/ Hope this helps.
Hi, In my experience, travelling across Georgia is safe for a woman solo traveller. However, the Kazbegi region is quite remote in relation to the major cities such as Tbilisi or Kutaisi. Hence, I would recommend taking part in a full day group tour organized by travel agencies such as Budget Georgia. Hope this helps!
Also, did you purchase sim card from airport to use it for your bolt ride to the accommodation? Or airport wifi works? The flight reaches late night in Tbilisi so this is one detail I wanted to sort
Yes, I had purchased the sim card at the Tbilisi airport on arrival. There are many vendors present at the arrival gate. You can use the airport wi-fi as its free to use. The activation of the pre-paid sim card is a very easy and quick process. Hope this helps.😇
Hi, For 15 days - about 1100 to 1300 USD should be enough (exclusive of airfare) - assuming you are a solo traveller. As a solo traveller, I stayed in a hostel - At Funicular. However, based on your need, you can find many hotels with good ratings on booking.com. If you are only visiting Tbilisi then its better to select a decent hotel for your 15 day stay - Tbilisi is a smaller city as compared to other larger metros such as paris, berlin etc., hence you can select a hotel near the Liberty Square area. Hope this helps.
Hello, Yes you can purchase a prepaid phone at the Tbilisi International airports arrival hall. Please look out for kiosks of Magti or Cellfie. Alternatively you can find many shops which seel prepaid phones within Tbilisi, Kutaisi or Batumi.
Hey! Really informative video. I tried booking railway tickets from both the sites mentioned by you but they throw an error every time. Did you book your tickets while being in India? The sites worked for you? Because I read a reddit thread that they don't work outside Georgia
Yes, I had pre-booked the train tickets via the websites mentioned Link - tre.ge/en?cmpn=TRE_Custom_ENG&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwyo60BhBiEiwAHmVLJe0VaU3lmj5oHp5oQh_lMF3xQLnLX_11pDXNDeLRlxhYduSIJmqDcBoCxhIQAvD_BwE or Link - tkt.ge/en/railway I did not face any issue while booking. Also, these tickets were booked outside of Georgia. Hope this helps😇
The same thing I'm experiencing as well. There's 123go, but the prices are a little extra there cos they forcefully give you travel insurance as well. Vipin bhai, were you able to do your tickets? And what month are you going?
One website gets an error all the time, and the other doesn't accept the cards I have. And 12goAsia seems expensive and unreliable., Guys help, and Vipin please share your final experience.
Bhai can we rent a car there? Is it safe to drive around? Challan and fines ka kya scene hai? Also please share if there is any reliable and affordable source to rent a car
You can rent a car in Tbilisi. There are a few car rental shops in Tbilisi. Georgia law does not allow non-US citizens, non-resident drivers to operate a motor vehicle if he or she does not have lawful status in the United States. Non-US citizens should present their Foreign/International License or Identification card to receive a Georgia license or Identification card.
A wonderful info friendly video. It would be more helpful if shared with exact cost in local currency for visiting each major places.
