I'm now almost certain that Mick is actually some kind of vengeful spirit of Australia. A personification of deadliest continent combined with the darkest impulses of those sent here. All wrapped up in one hell of an entertaining package.
In the prequel books it's revealed (he at least believes) that every kill he makes is a "sacrifice to the land" and makes him stronger. Basically it's left up to you to decide whether it's all in his insane head or not but yeah, that's basically what HE thinks he is haha even the Singing scene with the Aborigines, they didn't just pull that out their butts - it's from the books. Mick (ironically for all his bigotry towards foreigners) actually respects the Aboriginal people because it's their mythology that he believes in. He finds a shrine in a mine, of Aboriginal origins and hears his dead friend's voice in his head telling him to make sacrifices.
It's pretty insane lol it's called Desolation Game. There's also Origins which is him as a kid.
Yeah given the fact that he can lift a man and break his neck with one hand I think it’s pretty clear that he’s not human at this point.
There's a creature from Australian folklore called the Bunyip. It basically resembles a crocodile and hides in swamps, billabongs and anywhere else crocs tend to live and devours any who trespass into its territory. Mick's clear xenophobia of tourists might hint that he could be a bunyip in human form whose mission is to destroy anyone he can who invades his native land

I hope people appreciate these shows. Absolutely genius work. There's violence but it's sewn into the fabric of Mick's everyday life and you don't see it coming. He's the real Aussie and has the charm of a country man

@@chuckyolives2000 he is doing a preplanned rhyme. by saying "a wicky (whiskey) for my mate micky" he is showing that he already had the rhyme planned out beforehand, which would be impossible unless he knew Mick's name ahead of time. The only way he could know Mick's name was that he met the survivors, and thus was hiding them. Mick caught onto this.

I've watched both these movies and I say the first one is freaky but the second one's even worse the snake person I don't think I would ever want to meet if they base this on a true story that I understood I wouldn't want to know somebody like this is walking around their little bit twisted into me if they did they would have not allow someone to keep walking around like this they would have caught him somewhere the other but in the story they let him slip away that nobody could catch him this neck dude but this is one sick movie I have to admit

Edit:like this comment see if we can spread the idea because he really is an interesting take on horror movie killers, his classic rifle might only load a shot or 2 after he injured a few surivors, and then he can use the 2 shots to injure or down survivors. He could use a wood ax or knife as a melee weapon, OR the back of his rifle. He could have a taunt ability while people are on hooks that make anyone he chases that rescues them bleed more when damaged
