I've researched this a bit, and my understanding is over the course of a few years these will harden a bit but stay pretty pliable. If needs be, you can always retreat them too. I just did this to sdome rock ahrd GT750 carb manifolds and it worked well (with Rubber Renue, though same thing basically). Much better than the eBay scabs trying to get 400 for a set of three NOS ones!
That is great to know. I am happy to see that there are other chemicals that will work. Honestly, my solution gives you a few weeks working time, but it is never even close to "new". Also, at least 80% of people I have met have 84's. I think 85's and 86's are rare. Good for you!
Honestly it stayed soft for a few weeks. I had to put these carbs on and off a few times. A heat gun does help, but when you use one, it wroks fast and stays really really soft.
@@daslab68the heat from engine hardens all rubbers that have this done to them with anyproduct personally it's better than using a hair drier and constant leaks , do this one it seens to retighte. Up and harden but it def seals them shut ,so it's a thumbs 👍 from me ,
Why would I listen to you , I'll watch the video right to the end I reckon. If u reading this it's wrth watching it all .unless you can't stand the sound of ultrasonic cleaner somepeople can't handle it reminds them of the wife 😂😂

Good point!
You're a funny dude. Thank you for the video : )
I try. :) Thanks.
You can't always buy new ones. I put mine in my ultrasonic cleaner with simple green and water. They are like new. FYI 86' Honda

What chemical do you use
wintergreen oil and isopropyl alcohol. Smells nice, Don't drink it.
Can i use a different type of oil
@robertsdirikis8101 there's loads of ayd I've tried a couple but this was the best ,
Good helpful video, ...don't listen to these morons. How long did they stay flexible? I tried a heat gun, but they harden up in about 5 minutes.

Thank you for the tip on the heat gun. That was one of my options.
Buy new ones👍👍👍
I'll pay you @100,000,000.00 if you can fund me new ones!
With your money.
Oh ring 😂
:)

Thanks , I am glad you commented.@@jeffhughes6167
It doesn't work, don't watch the whole thing, the sound at the end is terrible.
You have an uncanny knack for stating the obvious! thanks for stopping by. What is the name of your channel?

@@daslab68 Cry harder. I tried it, it doesn't work.
This doesn't work.
This does work. I used the same formula and it worked exactly as shown in the video.
Great. I am glad I could help.
