Thanks coach, I just learned about you this week and I'm reading and watching everything I can because it's eye opening, thanks
Interesting new ideas about using wickets----Thanks as always for your valuable training tips.
Great info as always. Is this used as an X-Factor day or warm up on a sprint day?
Either.
Some times I have my kids close there eyes. That gets interesting. The faster kids can do it but the slower kids don’t like it at all.
The brain is a “protective mother” and the eyes should be considered a part of the brain. Kids with poor eyesight are almost always slow.
How many reps should you do of each of the seven wicket runs? Should you do more then one X factor drill during a practice.
Just one of each.
How much space do you use to lead into the wickets?
“ENOUGH”
Typically 25-30m.
If you had a 100m race in about 3 weeks,as a challenge against a friend, what would you do as a guy who lifts and play sports recreationally but hasn't trained sprints basically ever?
Hmmm. If you are faster than he is, no sweat. If you are slower, you are in deep shit. Can’t change speed in 3 weeks.
Regardless, I would do my Atomic workout 2-3 times a week.
After one of those workouts every week, run a sub-max 100m.
Don’t get hurt.
@@coachtonyholler he is 150lbs, I'm 185lbs. We are same height but I can jump higher quite significantly and I'm stronger (in the gym). Pretty sure he will have a faster start but I hope to catch him in the second part xD.
@@coachtonyholler thank you I will follow this to a T. Will update next month. Thanks a lot.
@@ettorecntwhat happened?
@@vince11harris dude had fever and bailed out and we haven't managed to do it yet lol
Coach i have shin splits or shin pain i have tried everything like rest , ice , etc what's causing shin splits can you help me out when the pain is comes i will try to rest for 3-4days and then the pain will gone but when i will run again pain comes again and again and again what's going on i don't know
Never sprint with pain. Cut normal volumes in half when you return. Don’t do ANYTHING that hurts. Get one extra hour sleep every night.
@@coachtonyholler so coach how should I run max effort sprint with shin splits if i cut volumes in half , and how many days should i follow this half volume work , and what should I do should i need to reduce the volume or intensity of the workout
@@phantomgaming9334 Just proceed with not doing anything that causes PAIN. You have no other choice. My ATOMIC WORKOUT includes just 60 seconds of work. If one of the speed drills causes pain DON’T DO IT. After a couple weeks, increase volume GRADUALLY.
@@coachtonyholler okay thanks coach i will try this out thanks for the information
would you say about 5 to 5 1/2 feet for girls? thanks
Yes. Try it. Fast girls can go 6’.
