Why is it when Mufti Menk recites a passage from the Qur'an, it is always soothing and making me smile? No matter what the problems and frustrations i have gone through in recent times of my life. He always has the nicest way of reciting i have ever heard so far in my life.

@@maubilla known as the sword of Allah(sayfuAllah). Allah let him die of an illness and not on the battle field. If he had died in the battlefield people will say the sword of Allah was defeated. To retain his honor and to prove the mercy of Allah he died of illness. Allah knows best.

Khalid ibn Waleed (RA) commanded respect from thousands of muslims he commanded and thousands of foes who stood against him. Only the majusis (kafir)hate him for decimating their empire and huge ego. He was given the title Saifullah by the prophet himself. May Allah b pleased with him.

What a great lecture!
It was sometimes hard to follow through the middle of the story but i understood it as i'm reading a children's story that's how well Mufti Menk explains things. Subhanallah I learnt a lot in 24 minutes. The change of Khalid Ibn Walid and his men (koraysh) was truly inspirational and how they acted like nothing had happened in the past was great and started over by accepting Muhammad (saw) as the Prophet of Allah and accepting Islam through a miracle of Allah which was magnificent MashaAllah. These men were enemies and Khaffir when they were at war however now they're Believers of Allah and his Messenger Muhammad (saw) through The Almighty's Miracle.

Khalid bin Walid is the superb warrior and master of all the commanders. Through him Allah SWT leveled two proud super powers of that time. He stopped the Trinitarian genocide of the minorities.....he stopped the ethic cleansing of Europeans . He liberated many human soles from suppression and oppression of their rulers.
Sword of Allah never fell in battlefield, rather by the will of Allah

مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ مَعَهُ أَشِدَّاءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَاهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانًا ۖ سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِي التَّوْرَاةِ ۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِي الْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْأَهُ فَآزَرَهُ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِ يُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَ ۗ وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا (29)
الفتح
(29) Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.
