Crazy! Im getting an MRI soon of my ring finger to diagnose a supposed A2 pulley injury but we're unsure yet if it is ruptured or just partially torn. Just started wearing a pulley pal ring to help stabilize the tendon just in case. Been having some tendon rolling or thunking sensation when flexing. Hopefully that is nothing too serious to be concerned about.
And now what? A super expensive and sophisticated MRI, and you obviously know very well all of the components of the hand. But how does help the patient get better? What I hear is just a very complicated and expensive way of saying "yup, hand is hurt"
That is correct. The expensive MRI is only the first step. It lets you know if the injury is minor or something more serious that will require a doctor to prescribe PT or possibly surgery. Once you know the problem and severity, you can choose the right doctor to provide the right treatment.
