    Fucking insane...... Yeah, I get it....It's old tech, but what an application of great thought. The airfoil has been around since 1903, or so. It took someone with a new angle, and some amount of genius, to chuck it onto a Formula One car, up side down, and apply it in a new way. Old tech will always be old tech, unless someone thinks about what it can do in a different way. Out side the box kinda stuff.

    @PD19954 some things still need metal like frame parts , carbon fiber does not take road shock very well.

    I agree, Carbon Fiber, and Graphene is man's pinnacle of achievement in composite materiel.

    • @Baigle1
      @Baigle1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      no it gets better lol
      the carbon fiber everyone uses is from polyacrylonitrile when mass produced carbon nanotubes are way stronger and pack more densely
      graphene and nanotubes aren't even the strongest predicted form of carbon lol, plus boron nitride is better than carbon in some ways

  • @Danothy03
    @Danothy03 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @Danothy03 What you seem to be asking is where did the matter/energy come from in the first place. Energy can't be created nor destroyed which allows us to conclude it has always been. The fact everything appears designed doesn't mean it was designed nor created. That we can't wrap our heads around existence not having a beginning is due to our limited understanding of time, which I won't even pretend to understand myself.

    Automation tech like this could greatly reduce the amount of time that human beings spend laboring to create commodities, thereby freeing up time which may be spent bettering oneself or pursing creative expression. Instead, it will probably be applied in order to simply produce more commodities for more PROFIT.

    It's just a standard braiding machine, been around for many years. Trust the ad men to spin anything with a "wow" factor into an ad. Hot new tech from the 1890s.

    • @formerlyghosts3006
      @formerlyghosts3006 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uhhh, it is a braider, not a loom for weaving. Although the carriers are newer, and automated, it is still the same basics of braiding.

    Science works like this: you make a positive claim(this machine comes from Germany), you prove your claim. Never minding the fact that if you Google search for information on this machine, every single article tells you it's new technology, and that Toyota itself is afraid this video gives away too much information on their trade secret.

    Am I misreading this or do you seriously mean that the ONLY possible way you can consider a task worthwhile is if someone ELSE gives you something to do?
    I agree with you that "Humans define their good existence through labour, and physical and psychological accomplishments," well said. And since human beings find meaning in labor, our society ought be organized in a way that promotes the self-direction of our labor, instead of being assigned tasks by a distant bureaucracy.

    I strongly disagree. Work wouldn't just stop. People become restless when they have nothing to do. Free time would allow us to pursue our genuine interests, whether that's art, gardening, medicine, engineering... endless possibilities. Maybe you just haven't discovered what really interests you yet.
    Curiosity and the pursuit of progress have always driven the human race forward. The ultimate goal of our labors do not (and should not) have to be dictated to us from the top down.

    @Danothy03 Yes case actually closes for someone when a he dies. Now its his will what he had chosen for his destiny. Even If you manufacture robots and u program it the way you like and leave them on their will to accept you as a creator or deny your existence. But there is really no way you can agree the ‘concocted fact’ spread as rumor among your own hand made creation that ‘u do not exist’, you actually do exist and those machines which accepted your existence can never be the same.

    @madhellsing I realized no one is able to prove their god to anyone else. I thought "this is a terrible way for a god to run a universe. Why would he make all the laws of the universe so precise and consistent but when it came to making himself know it came down to faith and feelings, no evidence at all?" How does one distinguish a god speaking to them and just a hallucination? There is no difference. Anyways, I also want to add I don't "believe in nothing" either. That's just silly.

  • @Danothy03

    @onlyparadise Why create an infinite cycle of pain? Before a person is even created an all-powerful being would know whether he's going to torture him forever or not, and he still decides to create people that he knows he's going to torture forever. It's pure madness, pure evil, and pure nonsense. There's really no way around it. Luckily for both of us, there's not a single shred of evidence or reason to think any of it is true :)

    I must admit I forgot what we were discussing. any way science is a process for testing hypotheses nothing more nothing less. I apologize for using the word theory instead of idea. they are not interchangeable. Theories are generally accepted policies that are well supported by generally accepted hypotheses and experimentation. Also, the philosophical flop of a war cry the atheists use to deny the presence of the metaphysical really isn't relevant here is it?

Humans define their good existence through labour, and physical and psychological accomplishments. Give us nothing to do and we wont be creative, we will be lazy. I know I certainly would not better myself if I had nothing but free time on my hands...
