Themberchaud is an interesting character. He's a stereotypical red dragon, greedy, violent, proud. But he's also a slave, and he knows it. His keepers only sustaining an illusion of being business partners. And when he gets too big for their own good, time to hatch a new Wyrm Smith.
Movies: "Dragons are no big deal. One man can wipe out their entire race because he didn't want to accept that his friend chose the path of evil after everything he had taught him." Reality: 5 people somehow manage to take down a dragon. There is a great celebration and great tales of their battle. 500 dragons show up suddenly and burn down the entire city.
More like 3 dragons to burn the city, and 497 dragons laughing there ass off that Tim over there, or Fafnir in draconic (joke ofc) was taken down by a 2 humans, a nerdy elf and a kobold who learned to play a lute.
As if dragons who'd be willing to burn down a city would have so much cohesion. They'd tear each other apart while discussing who should be the leader, because of course only they are the biggest and most intelligent dragon around and every other dragon is small fry. Meanwhile during that mess, the people who would have slain the dragon would already be dead by old age.
@@Bidmartinlo Dragon 1: "Ok now we finally settled who is the king of our tribe, now lets get our revenge!" Dragon 2: "The murderer has already died happily in old age." Dragon 1: ".... Well shit."
Reality: Dragons don't exist. the closer we got to having them were the dinosaurs and the T-rex went extinct before it could develop wings, much less firebreath.
Actually 1 Dragon burn city. 500 dragons would not cooperate to avenge one and only something apocalyptic could bring that many dragons to even be on one place, not battling for supremacy within moments😂
Nice. How about Arauthator in the perspective of just before meeting adventurers in Rise of Tiamat. He is a great wyrm that his entire family murdered by a wizard he spent hundreds of year plotting revenge. Destroyed the Hostower in Luskan and made of with its loot, ridden by Tiago Baenre during the Darkening, mate to Arveiaturace and now besieged by adventurers that only want to find is some stupid horn that the Dragon Cult took away in trade.
@DelverofDungeons you have to do Iymrith, I know she dies in SKT but you can do before that. She digs up netherese ruins and has an army of gargoyles. She was also modified by a lich to be more intelligent. She's a ancient blue dragon.
Thank you for this video, running a campaign based on the prewritten adventure "out of the abyss" however I adjusted most of the campaign to turn into a grand adventure from level 1-20. Always harder to find things pertaining to the underdark
should do a video on some of the dragons outside the main 10 such as iron or orium from the metallic or purple (not the 5e edition type) or brown from the chromatic or ones from the other types such as gem or shadow as well as other draconic individuals of note like Mauzzkyl Jaezred a very powerful drow dragon as well as Daurgothoth the dracolich
I like to think he had preferred to just get down to business in the film. Any conversation at that point would have probably been akin to playing with one's food.

Now do it while eating chips the entire time
i see dragons ... i click. like.
Yup! Same here.
This series really helps roleplaying those NPCs 😊

I was planning doing a series of through the eyes of unique powerful dragons and he sounds like he fits the bill!

The dragons outside the main 10 are fascinating! I'll definitely have to look into them more
As entertaining as always!
Not enough Base and Fat in his voice.
No one has enough Fat to mimic Themberchaud.
I mean seriously, O LAWD HE COMIN’
He is but mortal this is the best he can do.
Well done!!
Lizard folk shaman.
You have an amazing voice! I love this video so much, please make more narrations!
The beginning was a bit long winded, but I really enjoyed the ending.
You are getting better at telling stories.
This was such a great story!
Roll to Seduce the dragon
Good one!
Themberchaud didn’t actually speak in the movie because I knew the dragons of DnD can speak.
I like to think he had preferred to just get down to business in the film. Any conversation at that point would have probably been akin to playing with one's food.
I found it sad, that he was reduced to a mere animal, who doesn’t think or speak
@@ReluctantWarriorindeed, as I understand it, red dragons seldom bother to speak to things they intend to eat.
Beholder maybe even Xanathar please
I second this, maybe Xanathars pet fish too.
