I don't think he's saying that. He would still fail the test if he did it while the effects were still present. But the alcohol wears off quicker. Alcohol has to get into your blood to work. Whether it enters the blood via your stomach or lungs, it still gets into your blood, and will therefore show on a test. But when you smoke it, it both enters and exits the blood much faster. You straighten up faster.

I have no idea what this does to the lungs, but a lot of alcohol is lost through the body's metabolism when drinking it. This probably would go further, if you inhaled all the fumes. Probably a lot easier to kill yourself too, though.

It will...because it'd be almost impossible to get drunk this way. Alcohol increases in volume by 500 times when it turns to gas and yet he got his "buzz" of a few breaths from that little glass bowl. You'd need to breath in 2.3litres or 1/2 a gallon of alcohol vapour to get up to 0.1% blood alcohol. The reason it wears of quick and you can then pass, is that the only reason he was failing was because he'd just purposefully breathed alcohol in and it was just sitting in his lungs waiting to make him fail. Most of his alcohol is flowing out of his little stupid contraption and because it's heavier than air, it's more likely you'll make your cat drunk that you.

And just incase your too dense to understand when you inhale alcohol it absorbs directly into the blood stream through the lungs and is not sitting in your stomach constantly increasing blood alcohol until it passes through. So your blood alcohol levels drop much faster when it is inhaled and you sober up quicker. I have never done it nor do I plan to but so many people on this page don't have a clue what is going here because of the way this video was made to just make fun of him.

When you absorb alcohol through your lungs it doesnt get filtered through your liver, thus it's easier to get alcohol poisoning by inhaling it. Nobody I've personally known has died from this, but one of my parents friends had a daughter who died from it

I remember looking into it back when I was drinking a lot, because I was going on a diet and alcohol has a lot of calories (like 2k calories per bottle of hard liquor). The only things I could find were some papers stating that it had been a somewhat effective treatment for stuff like asthma and other breathing conditions but that's about it. Since I didn't know how dangerous it was in what quantities I just quit drinking for the most part.

@Beaye I think it kinda depends. If you were to try it with something like a distillation rig then it would have a pretty high amount of alcohol and would be more pure than just drinking it. It probably isn't gonna hurt anyone but it could still cause alcohol poisoning

"Smoking alcohol" is more of a dumb party trick. Normally, you'd pour out a few good glugs of beer or wine or whatever bev into a 2L coke bottle. And then you get an air pump (normally used to pump basketballs, soccer ball etc) attach a cork on the tip and jam in into the mouth of the bottle. Pump that shit up and the quickly release the pressure by yanking the cork off. You'll get vapors real quick and you can get drunk without feeling full. It is quite dangerous to do multiple times because normally if you drink too much, your body expels it with vomit and you dont have time to process the alcohol, but when you inhale it, it goes directly to your bloodstream and much easier to be poisoned. As I said, dumb party trick, not recommended. Edit: if you do this and die, I take no responsibility. But if you do, make sure to stream it for the boys. Cheers.

It very much skirts the line of legality, but I would say if it went to court it would definitely be seen as being illegal. The breathalyzer may not be an accurate way of detecting the effect of alcohol in this case, but it is still falls under the definition of “driving under the influence”

The reason it wears of quick and you can then pass, is that the only reason he was failing was because he'd just purposefully breathed alcohol in and it was just sitting in his lungs waiting to make him fail.

If either of you morons knew what the guys actual video was about he clearly states everything. He wants people to smoke the alcohol so that in about half an hour you will sober up and be able to drive instead of drinking it and not being sober for hours and hours I don't know whats so hard for you to understand that. He is not showing in any way how to cheat a breathalyzer because his blood alcohol is below the legal limit by the time he gets in the car.
And just incase your too dense to understand when you inhale alcohol it absorbs directly into the blood stream through the lungs and is not sitting in your stomach constantly increasing blood alcohol until it passes through. So your blood alcohol levels drop much faster when it is inhaled and you sober up quicker. I have never done it nor do I plan to but so many people on this page don't have a clue what is going here because of the way this video was made to just make fun of him.

When you absorb alcohol through your lungs it doesnt get filtered through your liver, thus it's easier to get alcohol poisoning by inhaling it. Nobody I've personally known has died from this, but one of my parents friends had a daughter who died from it

I have never been more disgusted
I remember looking into it back when I was drinking a lot, because I was going on a diet and alcohol has a lot of calories (like 2k calories per bottle of hard liquor). The only things I could find were some papers stating that it had been a somewhat effective treatment for stuff like asthma and other breathing conditions but that's about it.
Since I didn't know how dangerous it was in what quantities I just quit drinking for the most part.

"Smoking alcohol" is more of a dumb party trick.
Normally, you'd pour out a few good glugs of beer or wine or whatever bev into a 2L coke bottle.
And then you get an air pump (normally used to pump basketballs, soccer ball etc) attach a cork on the tip and jam in into the mouth of the bottle.
Pump that shit up and the quickly release the pressure by yanking the cork off.
You'll get vapors real quick and you can get drunk without feeling full.
It is quite dangerous to do multiple times because normally if you drink too much, your body expels it with vomit and you dont have time to process the alcohol, but when you inhale it, it goes directly to your bloodstream and much easier to be poisoned.
As I said, dumb party trick, not recommended.

No, the point illustrated for the video is that it “beats” the breathalyzer through a different method of feeling the effects of alcohol. It very much skirts the line of legality, but I would say if it went to court it would definitely be seen as being illegal.
The breathalyzer may not be an accurate way of detecting the effect of alcohol in this case, but it is still falls under the definition of “driving under the influence”
