      @anangryranger ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeReal918 Well sir, I'm in a unique position. After cataract surgery in both eyes, I was left with perfect vision at a distance. And I mean perfect! However, my up close vision is deplorable! Scopes and red dot devices are, in actual practice, useless to me. But stock standard iron sights are fine. Further, on pistols, a 2" snubnose revolver is out of the question. A total blur! But a 3" barrel pistol is usable, as the front sight is no longer that floating blur.
      I shoot primarily leverguns with semi-buckhorn sights with great results. The only centerfire rifle I have, a box stock AR15 carbine M4 clone with carryhandle sights, is a fine weapon for me. However, if I attached an optic to it, it becomes more of a club to me. Hope that explains things better for my particular situation.

    • @BeReal918
      @BeReal918 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @An Angry Ranger Oh ok, that makes sense. I like iron sight myself and have astigmatism in both eyes so red dots are a no go for me too. I happen to enjoy shooting my ar-15 with the carry handle & A2 front sights. I'm hoping to save up for an eotech because apparently holographic sights are best for those with astigmatism. Anyways have a good one and keep shooting!!

    I purchased one but felt the glass was a bit dim, and on my example the build quality failed due to partial stiffness of the power range adjustment, yet smooth on the other side. Also, one could see the sidewalls of the scope tube when looking through it. I however do not believe being able to see the sidewalls of a scope tube when looking through it means the scope is inoperable, rather that it is just a luxury by other products to not to be distracted by the extra visuals, please correct me if I am wrong, other than that, I liked the scope, but it was the failed build quality that forced me to exchange it for something else, which was too bad because I bought the combo pack that came with a rangefinder that I am sure would've been better than the old Bushnell pinpoint that I bought at a thrift store. Thanks for another interesting video and hope to keep on seeing more.

    In the future could you include the parallax info like what distance it’s set at or if adjustable what the close focus is . Also on the turrets would you show if there is indication markings on the post so you know what rotation you are on. PCP air rifles are becoming very popular so a close focus of the parallax like 10 yards or close is a must for a lot of shooters along with the turret rotation indicator.

    • @Moondog2A
      @Moondog2A  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      On this particular scope it's 100yrds. And no there isn't a rotation indicator. This isn't a good PCP scope. I would recommend a Arken EPL4 or the new model Athlon Argos. Both have a 10yrd min focus. Hope you subscribed. If you have a budget under $100, I'd consider a Monstrum or UTG.

    Is there a ballistic calculator for their bdc?

    • @Moondog2A
      @Moondog2A  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not even in their manual. You'd think they'd at least do a basic one using one of their rifles and Winchester or some other ammo they have a partnership with? www.sigsauer.com/media/sigsauer/resources/21SIG3349_Buckmasters_Manual-7403162-01-R01.pdf

      @@Moondog2A Silly any scope maker with a BDC doesn't at least have a ballistic app of some sort for their reticles. What gets me, is when makers show their scopes, but not the reticles in their advertisements and information for their product. Can be a expensive process figuring it out with ammo cost on hold points for bdc.
