Love my Nikons. I had one of the Buck masters decades ago. Super bright but the crosshairs were as thick as barn boards. The BDC style I love. I have about a dozen or more of them. Make sure to down load the Nikon application for the BDC drops.
It's a very good budget hunting scope. I have the 3-9x40 version (no parallax). Paid $99 for it. Zero complaints here other than the crosshairs are a little too prominent, but that's a plus if you have bad eyes. But it does everything it needs to do and the scope covers are great. As for the slap I used two small felt pad stick-ons (the kind you put under small items to prevent contact marring) on the scope body to kill the noise.
Nice optic cw . I got the nikon version one last few made on my 30-06 pump. They got a app for that optic from nikon if same retical. Love 7mm mag took plenty pa deer with it to my barrel went bad. Still got 7mm mag ammo . New one is on short list .
Once you get it mounted you will have to test it out to what ever range you can find and record the drop in inches on each power setting of the scope to determine what setting is right for calculation of hold over on a target , plus I would get a sunshade tube for the frontit will do two things take impacts and block out sun when shooting into the sun at high noon or setting sun .
I have a few Sig scopes Whiskey 3 version. My turrets allow to be pulled up to set the zero without Allen wrenchimg, etc. just pull up on the turret don't know if they changed them when they went Whiskey. Just looked up the Buckmaster and unfortunately you do have to manually loosen the turret: Re-setting your zero - BUCKMASTERS™ To reset the zero on your BUCKMASTERS rifle scope, loosen the 2mm hex screw on the adjustment dial and rotate the dial to zero. Once you are back to zero, tighten the 2mm hex screw. Replace the dial cap.

Interesting. Setting a reminder. I have two of the Sig Sierra Scopes with the connecting Kilo rangefinder. They've been good for distance shooting.

You can use the soft side of stock on velco to stick to the scope barrel.
