    I fell off the Recap but am sticking with the actual plan. Deep Dive with Kanoe follows it, and it's so good.

    Currently doing the year bible plan but I wasn’t learning anything. So now I’m simultaneously studying online with Gary Hamerick of Cornerstone Church. I’m actually studying /learning now. Pastor Hamerick is a wonderful teacher.

      Yes, I love his teaching. I'm doing the same, along with Kay Arthur and, of course, my favorite Dr. Charles Stanley.

    I just bought Faith's plan too! I haven't started it yet. I also got the questions, thank you for sharing!

    I sure do understand your sentiments about reading the Bible while following a reading plan!! You need to go with what works for you! As you say, "slow down" and read God's Word.
    I stopped using Faith's Grace Bible Reading Plan because the schedule jumps from the OT to the NT each day. Three months into using this "plan", I found myself struggling every day. Jumping in and out of the OT to the NT and back again was way too difficult for my brain to keep my studies straight. So I quit Faith's "plan".
    I had previously seen some Heart Dive videos so I decided to switch over to the Heart Dive Bible Reading Plan. I'm SO glad that I made the switch! Heart Dive with Kanoe Gibson is much more organized, has a more professional approach, and it is a much better, more organized Bible Reading Plan. One big plus is that the Heart Dive Bible Reading Plan is a chronological reading plan.
    If I can offer one bit of 'advice', don't waste your money on the numerous videos that go with Faith's Reading Plan -- they're not very good. The overall 'message' in most videos fall short on content, are disjointed, and too rushed. When she brings in others to do the daily videos, those videos are even worse. I finally began skipping over those videos. Overall, I have been very disappointed. Having said all of this, I have taken Faith's Boot Camp theology course and it was very good. I have also purchased Faith's Cliff Notes. So I purchased the How To Faith A Life Grace Bible Reading Plan assuming that I would get the same content quality. Just so you know, my negative comments on the Grace Bible Reading Plan and videos isn't meant as a negative attack, but are meant to serve as my analytical point of view and expectations.

      Thanks for your feedback. I have watched Kanoe’s videos but chose not to take that route. She is amazing! The reason I did not do that was because she provides soooo much info because of all the research and study she does on her own, which is awesome, but it left me not really doing my own study, which I love to be able to study things out myself and dig deep. So, Kanoe is awesome, just as you said though, we need to do what works for us:) when I study things out and learn on my own it makes I different impact on me and helps me to remember better then just listening to someone tell me all about what they learned from the research they did.
      It was kinda like going to school and someone telling me all the answers instead of me putting in the work and learning on my own. This is how I felt with Kanoe’s videos, but please don’t get me wrong. she is an amazing women and is doing an amazing thing to help others, I just chose not to go that route.
      I do agree with you on Faith’s videos, they could be better, but because I like to do my own deep study I don’t mind it.
      Important thing to note though is that no matter who we are watching or even commentary, we need to always check it against the Word to make sure it is in line with the Bible, we need to use discernment and allow God to speak to us just through His Word first before we take in all the info from “man”. Just some friendly advice💛
      The main thing is that we are in God’s Word and we are ready to receive from HIM and all He wants to reveal to us! Thanks for watching!

      Good to know about Faiths videos. I suspected as much. I purchased her Basic Bootcamp and while pretty good, it could have been much more polished, so I passed on the Theology and her reading plan.

    Big difference between READING the Bible and STUDYING the Bible. Both are good options.

    I'm doing a 3 year (and 3 months) plan. Thats a chapter a day. I've done the year plan a couple of times. I have a facebook group (Chapter a Day Bible Reading) and it really lets you soak it in and study.

    I appreciate you sharing that it is not only ok but also helpful to go back and revisit previous studies instead of going back. I have been thinking about this for a while. I also share my views about reading the Bible in one year. Its cool as long as you dont feel rushed. Thanks again! I am a new subscriber!

    Respectfully disagree with you on one point. Regardless of what other Bible study you do, PLEASE continue your reading through the *entire* Bible plan, multiple times and multiple ways. It helps that "big picture" to grow. To mature. Each time, through the Bible, additional insight is acquired. Especially, when using different approaches. For example, I've used the Canonical Plan to read through in a year and several times, read it in 6 months. (Just read 2 assignments per day.)
    I encourage everyone to read the Chronological Plan multiple times. It gives insights into events gleaned by reading several "news reports" at the same time. Same premise that we used today, when listening to different reporters covering events, large and small that can affect our lives. It also helps to do the Historical Plan, at least once.
    Stopping, switching reading plans, loses the continuity, IMO, that's gained by staying with it. Simply reading the Canonical yearly plan, only takes about 10-15 minutes per day. Pausing to pray and contemplate a point recognized, normally takes only a few minutes more. Sometimes less, when in OT chapters that are mainly lists of people, rituals, and such.
    After doing the reading plan, then spend the rest of available time, in specific area study such as yours on the Pentateuch. Currently I'm doing a deep dive in Genesis. Especially how it relates to creation vs evolution. Including, outside evidences (secular, scientific, etc.) that support the literal creation in 6 days. As a former theistic evolutionist, this is important to me. However, of greater importance, is to grow in understanding of the *Whole Bible* . That, for me, includes reading through the entire Bible, as many times as I can during my remaining lifetime.
    I hope you may find something within this that will help you grow in the Lord. God Bless.

    Yes Bible recap is great but I got bored quick. I rather just my normal Bible reading plan on a bookmark I’ve been using for years

    I did read the whole thing quickly in a couple of weeks some years ago. Now I’m on my second go through studying closer. I still plan to go through just reading fairly quickly, and use a third go through to study closer. PS - I’m usually the same Bible she has on the left to answer Bible study questions to make my own study Bible. I have another Bible in a different translation just to read.

    I am working on my first ever full read through. I am doing the BLB Chronological plan and am several days ahead. I am disabled so I have more time to spend reading and it is hard to stop sometimes. So I will have to find a way to slow myself down with deeper study, or multiple readings in 2-3 translations maybe.

      I did my first read through last year with Bible Recap, like you I seemed to be ahead quite a bit. The story line was just so interesting.
      This year doing another read through and using the Daily Grace Co. podcasts. It is a different perspective…the read is chronological but it goes deeper. The focus is redemption, and she does a good job of giving themes to look for in the books.
      Ha still ahead, but the videos are already posted….

      That’s awesome! I did not know they had a podcast with a chronological plan. Is that on the Apple podcast?

    • @sheilajohnson3383
      @sheilajohnson3383 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it is on the apple podcast. The first year was a straight read through, year 2 is a read thru in chronological order, and right now they are working through year 3. The newest is a 5 day a week, yearly plan for the New Testament only.
      They have books that partner with the podcast, but I did buy them, and they are not mentioned during the podcast.

    Random question: what % did you use to shrink the Bible reading plan that small? I hate having mine folded over. Thanks 😊

    • @FlourishInHisWordwithJudy
      @FlourishInHisWordwithJudy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      70%! You can probably get away with 75 or 80% if you want it a little bigger.
