Palpatine is known for his self confidence and he has every reason to be that self confident. Palpatine is a top tiered Sith Lord and a proper top tiered Sith Lord is quite powerful.
@@PapitoQinn There is a humble sith lord in what is now legends. He did nothing to further the sith grand plan but wanted more knowledge; I think Theory or someone else did a video on the history of the sith
I like how his point of view about Anakin killing him is the perfect summary of how episode 9 butchered and completely undermined the weight of Anakin's sacrifice. He's basically saying it out loud: "the fool died for nothing because i was going to return, he didn't destroy the sith". So much for the prophecy.
Palpatine returned in Legends anyway during the Dark Empire story line, so what does that say? Was Anakin's sacrifice not undermined in your eyes then as you claim it to be now?
@@Saberrex1 George never considered legends to be part of his Star Wars he was fine with it existing but it wasn’t part of His story it was its own thing. Plus didn’t the Dark Empire books come out before the Prequels?
@@Saberrex1 I despised that storyline in Legends as well lol. Legends had a ton of good content and it's fair quantity of real bullshit stuff. Whoever it might be from, Palpatine's arc needed to be closed in episode 6, and then the story needed to move on to a different threat. Lucas himself said to the actor there was no way his character might return in a post episode 6 movie because he was straight up dead.
@@Saberrex1 Palpatines return in Legends was shown in the Dark Empire comic series which was released in the early 90s, we first saw the prophecy show up on screen in 1999. When you look at the tiers of canon back then, if anything, George creating the prophecy retconned Palps' return
The will of the Force was that the younglings be killed. In fact, the Force created the younglings and tuscan riders so that Anakin could have some fun!
One thing I keep considering, and because I was of that generation, is the advantages and disadvantages of Luke and his father. In the realm of Nature versus Nurture, Luke had more ingredients to go very Right. Anakin was skiing uphill from his slave origins on up. Everything that could be thrown his way was. Luke, in contrast, was a kid with promise in a fairly basic upbringing. For Modesto. Lot of Lucas in Luke. His life was sleepy, waiting to be woken up. Anakin was awake from day one. Trauma is the difference.
It’s ironic, a lot of time premonitions were a warning of the future, and that you can prevent it before it happens, in Anakin’s case he did not have to do anything and if he ignored the premonition his wife would not have died.
We need a Palpatine series of his rise in the dark side and becoming a sith. Make it a darker series because we know how ruthless he was. It would be awesome to see the darker side of Star Wars (pun intended)
If this is Sidious’ point of view. As a dark sider he is simply being arrogant when stating anakin is his rival, instead of admitting he will be more powerful
Is it not the perogative of the master who possesses superior power to guard it against their apprentice who covets the power? Like how Plagueis hid secrets of the dark side from sidious
I personally *_prefer_* the idea of Anakin being a rival to Palpatine rather than simply being more powerful than him. It makes sense for the franchise's main villain (especially with everything that Palpatine has done throughout the mythos) to have that level of power; to be virtually untouchable by anyone except the protagonist when they muster up the strength over the course of the story. Who knows, Palpatine might've just told Yoda that Anakin would become more powerful than either of them as a means of scaring or unnerving Yoda, when in reality he knows that the most powerful Sith of all time is none other than himself; that Anakin might rival him and might even be able to surpass him given the chance, but not completely blow him out of the water in power level. Given Palpatine's motivations, I don't think it makes sense at all for him to knowingly encourage a being who could potentially defeat him -- Palpatine had no intention of being overthrown and he *_CERTAINLY_* wouldn't stand for anyone having more power than him, so why risk Anakin if he knew he could become stronger than even himself? To me it makes more sense for Anakin to be merely a rival to Palpatine, given Palpatine's status as the main villain and Palpatine's character as a whole.
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain Well in Canon, Vader did surpass Sidious. He simply made himself a slave to Sidious to have some sort of purpose and to punish himself for his failures.

1:45 The light that never left Vader, in my opinion this is the real reason why Vader was never able to achieve his full power. Not from damage to the flesh, but damage in the heart and mind. He never embraced the Dark Side like Palpatine. It’s a mindset Vader was evil but not as much as Sidious, that guy was a complete psycho. I believe that’s why Sidious wanted to replace Vader with Luke, he is Anakin’s son, he inherited a lot of power from his father but he doesn’t have Vader’s personality issues so he might just be able to fully embrace the Dark Side unlike his father. 10:50 Annnnd, NOPE!!! Anakin destroyed the Sith and that old evil was gone for good, Ultimate Balance is returned to the Force. Hurrah!!! Though is Palpatine were to return as a threat, they should do it in a way similar to Reverse Flash from Suicide Squad Hell to Pay. In which he is already dead but running on fumes to try to keep his consciousness attached to his dead corpse in a desperate attempt to find a way to cheat death and return only to fail in the end.
He’s in a clone body that’s decaying, and is trying to find a way to keep his conscience alive because he had been dying for 40 years. And he does fail in the end by the hands of all the Jedi spirits at once
@@thorodinson1933 Yeah but dying doesn’t mean dead. That was my problem with ep 9. Not matter how damaged he was, he was still actually alive even though his body looked like a corpse, they should have made him be some kind of dark side Sith zombie or something like that with a better name.
@@alanpena8643 if they had just outright said it was a clone instead of “ somehow Palpatine has returned” it would’ve been easier to accept knowing it’s not actual Palpatine. I just wish that in the end anakin would actually come back and somehow beat the last piece of Palpatines soul
@@thorodinson1933 It would have been better than "all the sith spirits" vs "all the jedi spirits", since that sort of scuppers the entire foundation of Star Wars mythology.
Interesting. Here’s my take on this book, of which I will explain using this book as it is (allegedly) made in-universe, similar to Luke Skywalker’s Secrets of the Jedi (and other Legends books such as The Jedi Path and Book of Sith respectively made in universe) While there’s no doubt some contradictions in this book, don’t forget: this is a book made by the Sith for the Sith. Deception, manipulation, and treachery are amongst the most powerful traits a Sith could have. Whereas Force Lightning could eradicate a dozen or so adversaries unfortunate enough to be caught in its deadly arcs, a Sith is able to subjugate an entire populace through deeds that aren’t always out and center. Point is Sidious is the ultimate master of subterfuge and a skilled manipulator. To believe everything he says as gospel is to be taken with an entire salt mine from Crait. While Plagueis understood the concept and prefers immortality through physical/scientific means (ie manipulate midichlorians), Sidious has come across this knowledge (in legends from Cronal, aka Blackhole from early Marvel comics; currently unknown in canon) of transferring his Essence to a different host. In regards to Skywalker, he was Palpatine’s favorite tool to manipulate: by acting as a kind fatherly figure that rivals (and then supersedes) Obi-Wan Kenobi, he has done much (with seemingly so little resources) to not only groom the Chosen One to become his next apprentice, but one that is worthy to carry on his legacy. Hence why he told Yoda “Lord Vader will become more powerful than EITHER of US”. What better way to depose of your greatest rival in the Force than conversion to one’s cause? It’s a tactic that both Jedi and Sith has used over millennia in one instance or another. And again, Palpatine isn’t known for his stark honesty, nor does he believe that he should ever be replaced (with the exception being Vader pre-Mustafar), hence why when he teaches his apprentices (and other acolytes) it is given in bits and pieces, never a complete package, one that shouldn’t be taken as gospel. Even his gatekeeper of a few Holocrons (like the famed Telos Holocron) isn’t above manipulation and deception with his point of view. So whatever Palpatine says in the book Secrets of the Sith that seems contradictory, that’s his deceitful nature coming to the forefront.
@@11bluekitkats at the same time, we can’t just blame Disney for everything. Disney has given Kathleen Kennedy the same amount of autonomy as Kevin Feige (in addition to Pixar and 20th Century Fox), with some guidelines sure. It’s like in Labyrinth of Evil Mace Windu even thinks that “not everything can be explained with Dooku” (especially when it comes to the Battle of Coruscant. While this “could” be referred to the “Disney era”, that doesn’t mean that this is Disney’s own continuity. Even a few people at Lucasfilm has even talked about resetting the continuity, but I’m getting off track here. Moving on Is everything from the current canon set forth by Lucasfilm fantastic? No not really, but the same could be said of Legends (plenty of duds for every gem) as it’s also discombobulated even moreso than Canon (not defending Canon, that’s just an observation growing up with Legends material all my life)
@@11bluekitkats again that’s Lucasfilm that creates the stories and characters, even moreso than Disney. ESPECIALLY moreso than Disney. Disney’s the distributor whilst Lucasfilm’s the producer of Star Wars content. Even when creating attractions, hotels, and experiences at their theme parks/resorts, Disney relies on Lucasfilm having the most accurate representation of the Star Wars mythos that is currently at work. A counter argument to your statement is that regardless as to who creates the stories and characters, it’s not just “conforming” to the lore that makes it faithful to what has come before, but also to expand upon the universe. For instance, there’s more questions than answers about the Force that even wise and experienced masters of any order isn’t privy of. Nothing is impossible with the Force. It’s the users and how they utilize the Force that depends just how powerful they could be (as well as being receptive). If we kept to how stories are as they appear to be, we wouldn’t have amazing stories such as Grand Admiral Thrawn in the original Thrawn trilogy outsmarting the New Republic; Darth Revan wouldn’t have been such a popular figure; even ordinary people or citizens would be overshadowed if they weren’t represented right. So it’s not just a Disney matter, it’s Lucasfilm’s responsibility to deliver the best they can get, even when they’re not with the company.

Force Potential was measured by a person’s Midichlorian count. More specifically, the per cell count. Anakin has the highest force potential in all of SW because each one of his cells have a M count of over 20,000. It wasn’t about the total amount in his body but the amount on a cellular level. Even if he lost about half of his body and a lot of Midichlorians that would be in that flesh, what is left of his body would still have its 20,000+ per cell count wouldn’t it? Considering it's Palpatine's point of view it could also be skewed to his perspective as well. He considered him a rival, though Anakin had the potential to be stronger than him might mean he knew how to manipulate him thus making him also weaker in his eyes. The omitting of any meeting in the Kenobi show could be explained as "it was just written before that decision was made" or that it wasn't as significant to Palpatine as Obi-wan's death.

This literally is the mythos and lore. Anyone still refusing to accept that after all this time is just being indignant. Legends was never canon, just glorified fan-fiction. I for one am glad they are taking the great aspects of old stories and weaving them into a coherent narrative for the first time. Before, star wars was a huge stinking mess of contradictory narratives and really ridiculous plots that very rarely showed any original creativity. There were far more stinkers than gems in Legends. It deserved and needed to be purged for the sake of the Star Wars continuity. Current canon is actually engaging and creative while also dipping into Legends for those gemstones.

Since it's Palp's POV, I think that line was a combination of hubris and retroactively re-writing history for any readers in the future. By that I mean he would want someone 1000 years from that point to think that Vader was always destined to be beneath Sidious- "The HEIGHT of Vader's power is where I am now and I'm still growing so you see how much more grand I am as a Sith? The man who wiped out the Jedi, the enemy no Sith has vanquished, is my inferior!"
It seems like Palpatine wanted Anakin to overthrow him, due to his statement to Yoda in Revenge of the Sith. Honestly it seems like Palpatine wanted to see the rise of the Empire and it's construction get underway, then pass ruling over it to Anakin, when Anakin challenges him. I think he saw Anakin as a better suited leader due to how Anakin wanted to make and shape his world, and Palpatine saw that vision in Anakin as great potential for leadership and management of an entire empire.

I'm considering membership here. Long overdue but I've only seriously engaged things like this channel recently. Theory's examination always comes with perspective, but he lets much Star Wars work be its own because he fundamentally sets out to enjoy one more element of this galaxy, far far away and... you know. Thanks. The lore here. The recent Darth Vader comics fudged some ideas of Shmi's pregnancy and what role Palpatine had in Anakin's inception. It was a page that went nowhere, in my opinion. And it really didn't need to. How far do you want Palpatine's mechanations to go? Dude thinks ahead. Period. I am going to say Plaguius and his meddling in the Force should be canon again. THAT was a thick idea. The idea The Force itself, dark and light, smacked back and frelled up Darth Plagueis, and by proxy his apprentice. Their over ambition was their Achilles heel.
Honestly, it doesn't sound like contradictions to me. If you look at Plageius when he was younger, sure I could see him thinking that Essence Transfer was a myth, a joke. But in his elder years? He could have had second thoughts about it. Plus HEARING of a thing doesn't require that the person knows how to do the thing, merely that it exists is enough. The Force allows for TONS of abilities, Palpatine experimented as did many other Sith before him, an he was well aware of this. It doesn't matter if his master thought it was nonsense, it only matters that he mentioned it. Just an example - You can hear of a religion, but even if the person you heard about it from sees it as nonsense isn't enough to tell the person it's confirmed nonsense. As for Anakin's power. He said his power rivaled his own, WHEN ANAKIN WAS FIRST DISCOVERED. All Jedi & Sith powers have to be nurtured and strengthened. He may have had COMPARABLE power when he was younger, but as we all know, once you train yourself & strengthen those best parts of yourself, you become stronger. Basically, you're looking at it from a single time viewpoint. You can say you liked this person BACK IN THE DAY, but now you hate the person. Saying you liked them is not a contradiction. Past Tense. As for "Balance", the funny bit was is that the Jedi did NOT promote Balance. The Grey Force Users were more Balanced than the Jedi, even Mace Windu was more Balanced cause he had one foot in the Dark Side. Balance is Neutrality. Good is a side, as is Evil. Neutral is in the middle. Balance has no side. Anakin DID bring Balance to the Force. The Jedi were simply deluding themselves by thinking they were balanced, when they clearly weren't. Just cause Anakin wasn't the Jedi's idea of the Chosen One, doesn't make them right, it simply makes them ironic fools.

Wow I always heard Palpatine say "Lord Vader will be more powerful than I ever was." So I assumed that he was speaking about Vader eventually using the Dark Side to his full potential in the future if he (Palpatine) were to fall in battle to Yoda. Makes sense considering how emerged in the Dark Side Anakin was and how powerful he became in such a short time. But now knowing he says "Either of us" makes me want to go back and rewatch the movie just to see if makes that scene feel like a weird Mandela Effect. Thanks to you I learned something toady. I love your videos and have followed you for a few years now. Keep up the great work.
Around 4:40, it's a super interesting way of seeing Revenge of the Sith, that it is the will of the force that Padme die. Ie, that is the inevitable future that the force is steering the galaxy towards, and that the truth is that yes, only sith teachings can save padme, because only the sith are willing to impose their own will onto the galaxy in opposition to the will of the force.
I think it would be cool to see the Palpatine save jump Anakin but, the way Palpatine ends up on his knees looking at Anakin looks like he cares for him but he’s more devastated his new power has been broken.
You gotta be careful comparing canon material to non-canon material. At best, any such comparisons are novel thought experiments. That’s it. I still fail to see why people heap so much blame on Disney for not accepting novels like “Darth Plagueis” as canon. Disney purchased LucasFilm, which never recognized the EU material as official Star Wars canon. I was a little surprised that the film novelizations were [not] regarded as canon. But, I can understand that policy, seeing how “Revenge of the Sith” novelization tells a significantly different story from the film. As far this book goes, the writings of Darth Sidious do not contradict canon. There are his own personal thoughts. If he believed he was the most powerful being to ever wield the Force, then so be it. After all, he did have “unlimited POWER.”
SWT will never be careful in that regard, because his whole anti-disney obsession hinges on him treating Legends as pre-existing canon and the weird mental caricature he and other sweats have, of the evil Kathleen Kennedy supplanting Legends timelines while cackling and burning copies of "Heir to the Empire" in the backroom of Lucasfilm studios while a weeping Dave Filoni gently tucks the last copy under his fedora. That's the thing they can't wrap their heads around --- treating the mess that was legends just like Lucasfilm intended to treat it (as a functional" what if series" or fan fiction adventures) was the best thing Disney could have done to start building out a coherent story.
@@LazerzFalcon I agree, 100%. LucasFilm probably never owned the rights to any of the EU material, with Timothy Zahn’s “Heir to the Empire” being a possible exception, or a negotiated exception. I do not think Disney has ever wanted to dispose of all of the EU material, which is why they renamed it Legends. I think the the Legends material fits into official canon as mythology, or the stuff of dramas on the Holonet.

Thank you for covering this for those who don’t have time to read or money for the book. Especially your videos on the comics. Questions: Vader mourns Padme yes. But does he also mourn the child he believed to die with Padme? Also while she carried the twins did he not feel them in the force? Wouldn’t he “hear” them? Maybe he heard one but the other somehow hid?
The way I see it, the force protected both children from being sensed by anyone. Every event was the will of the force so why wouldn't it have protected the twins as well? Leia led the rebellion and the resistance that would end the sith threat once and for all, and luke redeemed his father, trained Leia's son which was a catalyst in saving Rey twice from Palpatine, plus luke trained rey and led her to the jedi texts that was the will of the force.
Since both Luke and Leia were untrained, I don't think they could be traced like a Jedi or a Sith, who radiate the force, so to speak. It took a blood test or something similiar to test Anakin for mitoclorins, if I remember properly.

Essence transfer was always an ability Palpatine had despite The Darth Plagieus novel. The Dark empire Series clearly established that and the fact they repeatedly mentioned this incident in later legend novels shows this was established Sith Power.
We really need an AU where anakin doesn't get burned. I know you've made videos and there great. I guess the fight can go on till palatine arrives so Obi-Wan runs never letting anakin get burned and such
You are partly right here my friend and you know it! Yes Anakin had the ability to see into the future, but he didnt really know if its true or not. It was a fight within. Hence why he was in overthinking mode in the jedi council, before he went nuts to save palpatine. So yes, he could see into the Future, but Palpatine was the Catalyst.
The only plot point movie wise that I feel makes Anakin returning as a force ghost a last minute addition to his story is the fact that his body does not disappear after rejoining the force.
In this case I think the term "obsidian" was merely used to describe the colour of Vader's armour, not the material. I don't know if it would be the same in STAR WARS but in our world, using obsidian to make armour would be crude and impractical and I doubt it would be very protective. I think (in Legends at least) they mentioned Vader's armour was made of a combination of plastoid and a few other materials, the same as Stormtrooper armour.
With how much they retcon stuff from Star Wars books, I wouldn't be surprised if they retconned this one to say Kenobi and Skywalker did meet again. The way Ewan McGregor talked about it on the sizzle reel seems almost certain that they will meet.
In the old continuity this was explained a bit in both the bane and Plagueis novels but it’s probably going to be made canon soon as other elements of those stories have been. Typically they chose a word that either represented their apprentices personality or a word that invoked rage. For Darth Bane he was called Bane because his abusive father use to always call him the bane of his existence. For Darth Sidious Plagueis could see through Palpatine and saw he was evil to the core and stated he was insidious.
Wow 3 Million bro that is crazy! I still remember before you hit 1 Million. Gives me hope that I can get some subs one day once I make some quality videos lol.
That always intrigued me - when we saw Jedi die, (for example, Ben Kenobi and Yoda), they faded into nothingness. Why not Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi? I think he should have, personally.
Why do we still care at this point? Palps should never have come back, the sequel trilogy should never have been made. Not just because of how horrible they are but how they undermined the accomplishments of the OT and rendered the first 2 trilogies meaningless. And for what? We don't even need to watch the sequels, they ultimately begin and end in the same way the Original Trilogy did, the story is nothing new nor is it as good. The prequels still aren't great but they are a good back story for the originals that could've been done better, and watching Ep. 1-6 feels like a whole solid story. The story of the downfall of Anakin Skywalker and him finally coming back to the light and killing Palps, destroying the Sith, brings balance to the force and leaving his children a future brighter than anything even he could imagine. I don't need to watch the sequels cause ROTJ was the true ending and a far better conclusion
@@medalgear654 Well what I mean by it everything is either hinting at or is directly linking to the sequels meaning you either essentially just have to drop star wars or simply follow legends content which is good, but no longer getting any content up to date with it.

The light that never left Vader, in my opinion this is the real reason why Vader was never able to achieve his full power.

Annnnd, NOPE!!!
Sith power lies not in the flesh, but belief.

@@thorodinson1933 It would have been better than "all the sith spirits" vs "all the jedi spirits", since that sort of scuppers the entire foundation of Star Wars mythology.
Interesting. Here’s my take on this book, of which I will explain using this book as it is (allegedly) made in-universe, similar to Luke Skywalker’s Secrets of the Jedi (and other Legends books such as The Jedi Path and Book of Sith respectively made in universe)
While there’s no doubt some contradictions in this book, don’t forget: this is a book made by the Sith for the Sith.
Before the acquisition by Disney, had Lucas went through with his own Sequel Trilogy, it would’ve definitely contradict the EU post ROTJ . Even a few people at Lucasfilm has even talked about resetting the continuity, but I’m getting off track here. Moving on
Is everything from the current canon set forth by Lucasfilm fantastic?

THAT was a thick idea. The idea The Force itself, dark and light, smacked back and frelled up Darth Plagueis, and by proxy his apprentice. Their over ambition was their Achilles heel.
"I've been trained in your Count Dooku by Jedi arts"
"Kenobi ah General"
"You are a bald one. Feed him!"
"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Master Windu?"
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain how many times you say this lol
So... Basically... He "is" the force. Love your channel bro keep it up 👍👍😊😊❤️
Around 4:40, it's a super interesting way of seeing Revenge of the Sith, that it is the will of the force that Padme die.
Ie, that is the inevitable future that the force is steering the galaxy towards, and that the truth is that yes, only sith teachings can save padme, because only the sith are willing to impose their own will onto the galaxy in opposition to the will of the force.
Love the videos. Keep it up :).

I wish you would’ve put a link to the comics video you did. Great video though SWT
Nice vid!
@@harleyalderson3533 yep. Very good points. What made me think of this was hearing that in books and/or comics that Snoke had been after Ben since Leia was pregnant with him. That he could feel Ben’s force strength before he was even born.

I am glad you pointed out that essence transfer part and showed Revan. Disney really needs to make legends canon again because it is the only way to line the stories up. Think about how much Revan and Malak had to offer in terms of story and lore.
While I too believe that Anakin would have eclipsed Palpatine in terms of power. But perhaps in Palpatines mind there is no one stronger then himself.
So what Palpatine says, is true “from a certain point of view.” 😂

I bought this book the same day that it came out, great book with many interesting facts
I think it doesn’t recognize that Anakin’s connection with the force was stronger than Palpatine’s precisely BECAUSE it’s from Palp’s point of view. His arrogance would never allow him to say someone else is his greater.
💯 Agree with you General Theory about the author lol don't think this is going in my heart and head cannon ❤️ Regardless Thanks for covering it man
1:09 It didn't matter to George Lucas either.
2:37 Palpatine is either speaking here in the original trilogy or sequel trilogy era here. Because Vader have lost most of his Midi-chlorians (which also George Lucas reveals) After losing all his limbs to Obi-Wan.
7:26 I'm sure it would have looked as goofy as people dislike Leia using the force in space retaining enough consciousness pulling herself back into her ship in The Last Jedi.
9:52 The dual likely is more than a physical duel rematch.
10:55 It's a shame we didn't get the actual quote from the book of what happened and is just abbreviated.
3:38 Yeah but saying that they failed to consider what brining balance to the force could truly mean is also false. Mace and Yoda were skeptical about Anakin from the very beginning
I haven’t read that book from what you said I interpreted that Palpatine was referring to Anakin as a rival post Mustafar. So before he got chopped up he had the potential to be twice as powerful but that was cut short due to his fight with Obi-Wan.
2:44 I think it's Palpatine's arrogance here. Darth Sideous isn't exactly known for his trustworthiness or his humility is he?

Hey Theory, I have a question. Why when Anakin died, he didn't vanished like Obi-Wan and Yoda? Great video, as always.
He was mostly machine and not flesh. His flesh could have vanished, but the rest could not
Always like the idea that Darth Bane lived on. I like that it was left open to debate for so long.
This book seems awesome! Can't wait to pick it up!
Essence transfer was always an ability Palpatine had despite The Darth Plagieus novel. The Dark empire Series clearly established that and the fact they repeatedly mentioned this incident in later legend novels shows this was established Sith Power.
When confronted with visions of the future, do not focus on how you can prevent that future, only on how you will deal with that future.
I personally like the notion that Plagueis being the one that created Anakin.
We really need an AU where anakin doesn't get burned. I know you've made videos and there great. I guess the fight can go on till palatine arrives so Obi-Wan runs never letting anakin get burned and such
2:15 “Oh my God, this is the most best amazing thing I could have asked for!” - Darth Sideous, probably
Liked before I watched
I saw the "his power rivaled my own" was him referring to him as a child, and old Palpy boy at his current age, not him at full power
There needs 2 be a secrets of bounty hunters & clones book with Rex talking about his point of view of things & Boba talking about his.
I just finished clone wars for the first time yesterday, pretty powerful stuff
In this case I think the term "obsidian" was merely used to describe the colour of Vader's armour, not the material. I don't know if it would be the same in STAR WARS but in our world, using obsidian to make armour would be crude and impractical and I doubt it would be very protective. I think (in Legends at least) they mentioned Vader's armour was made of a combination of plastoid and a few other materials, the same as Stormtrooper armour.
I love this video so much.
Palpatine finding out about Luke:
"Omg this is the most best amazing thing"
Ah, classic. 😂

Question: should dead Anakin disappear from within his suit as he leans back against the ramp and dies? Should that be another Special Edition fix?
That always intrigued me - when we saw Jedi die, (for example, Ben Kenobi and Yoda), they faded into nothingness. Why not Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi? I think he should have, personally.
10:07 I think the writer just doesn’t know what happens in the Kenobi show
Why do we still care at this point?
