I actually have wondered if this is partly why he died. He said he always had major nerves when Grohl asked him to sing. So he would do drugs to try and calm down. And he was clearly tired of that lifestyle feeding his drug use so he wanted to quit. But Grohl asked him for that last tour and to sing some, so he did drugs again and it finally killed him.
Hats off to Taylor Hawkins....but this is the man that played the drums for the band that already had one of the best drummers of all time in it....his talent always shone through ❤
As a musician, I can't even imagine the courage it would take to perform any of their songs to them. Led Zep is the foundation of sooooooo much of our modern music... and it never existed until they created it.
BEST BAND EVER...such creativity diversity every song different, their acoustic stuff was sensational, too. Plant + Page, what a duo...what a team...and they were such a joy to watch on stage, no gimmicks...just kick ass musicians playing their hearts out, all of them, speaking to each other thru their music...page dancing all over....guitar slung down low...what an ICON. magical.

I'm so lucky to have seen them 3 times in the seventies and there's not too many of us left who can say this. Now, I cry from the shear joy of them. I remember when they were young, in their twenties and now, I feel like this cannot possibly be them now. Where is my Bonzo??? I shook your hand once John, do you remember that?? I do. I spotted Bonnie Raitt and Tracy Chapman during Lenny’s performance and I was overjoyed. It’s lovely to see legends appreciating legends. And as soon as Lenny came out and I saw which song he was going to do there was no doubt he was going to knock it out of the park. And he did.

@@joseochoa4152 Plus song choice is everything! Lenny had the song that was also used for "Top of the Pops" back in the day...The mass's will always relate to familiarity rather than talent! Lenny was amazing dont get me wrong but damn the foo's win my vote because they can switch from drums to vocals and vice versa! Either way the show was awesome!
