- The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 centers around a colorful cast of characters as they find their attempts who are collaborating on a new musical, and find themselves caught in the middle of a real-life murder mystery! Perhaps they’d prefer to stick to writing the drama rather than living it.
Performed at Bethany Lutheran College in April, 2022, in the Sigurd Lee Theater located in the Ylvisaker Fine Arts Center.

My schools doing this for our spring play and I got the role of Eddie! This is a truly magnificent performance to watch, and I hope we can do it justice!
Hey me too! I hope it goes well
Just came across this via the algorithm, and I have to say, it might be my favorite play production I've ever watched on TH-cam. The entire cast was PERFECT for their roles! Comedic timing was flawless! Pausing for laughs! Gorgeous sets and costuming. Every single performer here is outstanding, but I'd like to especially shoutout Isaiah as Eddie, Mizha as Bernice, and Joseph as Roger- they all had me rolling and really made these characters their own. Incredible, *incredible* job from everyone involved! Not a beat was missed!
That was amazing. I cannot imagine a better performance by the cast. The set is top notch and the camera work did a great job of capturing the feel of being at a live performance.
Yesterday, I saw this show in my school, and it’s nice to see a version I can always come back to.
Brilliant production! You squeezed every drop of comedy out of this great script. Great direction! Great acting! Beautiful set!
the singing at the end almost broke my speakers🤣
This feels more like something from “The Play That Goes Wrong”
It was written in the 80s.
It just keeps getting better and better, it doesn't stop 1:23:00
I’m a big fan of early mysteries and this one was great! Fun with suspense. Great performances all around, great set, all of it!😊😊😊
My school is performing this play, I'm auditioning for Helsa! I hope i get it :))
This was announced for my school's play next year and I've been researching it like crazy. I'm gonna audition for O'Reilly cuz 3 accents, 2 identity plot twists, and then just randomly dying is the goofy ah stuff I want to do lol. Good luck with getting Helsa, that seems like a fun role too
Using this as a reference because I'm playing O'Reilly in our production!

Very good!
I just realized that the blood stains on the fringe that cop was talking about was when the killer tried to put Helsa’s body behind the curtain.
This is brilliant!!
Like how you changed the "japanese" impersonation with a Minnesotan impression, not only is it not racist but it was actually funny seeing eddy just uncomfortably continuing with stuff like "ah look, a deer" while Ken is just silently annoyed
Me if I was in the show:
The Director Guy: “It reminds me of the movie I directed called ‘Flying Murder’ starring Vincent Price as Detective Magoe!”
Me: “Has it been released?”
TDG: “Yes”
Me: “Then I’ve seen it!”
Was I the only one expecting a musical? “The Musical Comedy Murders”, I can find something wrong with that title!
Because they were directing a Musical Comedy, but then... Murder.
Half hour into the show and I've heard not one song. Is this really a musical? It's funny and enjoyable, but way too much talking for my taste.
Well, they were writing a musical comedy, but then the murders happened. So I think that’s the reason musical is in the name.
@@justkindahere01, yeah, they're auditioning for this in my area. I'm glad I looked at this. I liked it to watch it, but I wouldn't like to act in it. I prefer a musical where I sing a lot more than I talk.
It's not a Musical 😂
@@TheMasterMinjaHorror I wasn't the one who said it was a musical. It's branded like that. I came to watch this because I saw an audition for this as musical. So, please, don't tell me it's not a musical, I am not the one who categorizes it.
