I personally dont like it because I dont want to put in a lot of time for example to get chipper to not be able to use him all year
There’s a reason there’s wild card so you can use your cards from the past seasons
Definitely felt a bit overwhelmed by all the new stuff, but I got 99 overall Willie Mays on my first try with the new pack, so this Giants fan is happy already
Im a die hard giants fan as well but they did him dirty with the 83 clutch
Felt like season 1 lasted too long but curious to see how this plays out.

I really like how they are doing sets and seasons because it allows anyone to get a high diamond card at anytime and I also like how they do diamond duos. I hope that Jimmy Herget is in an Alter Ego's pack soon because his pitches are filthy.
I’m not the biggest fan of the sets and season model because let’s say you spend 160,000 stubs on a card from season 1 there is no use of it in season 3 and above I know there’s a wild card option but idk I’m just not liking it so far
Better off doing collections
i love it because when they drop huge updates like this where literally 150+ cards are added at once then it feels like release day all over again

Yeah if you’re spending on 160k on cards in the marketplace without doing the collection first, that’s a problem. That’s why most TH-camrs say do the collections first

I love the new model. I literally only play for the collection aspect of the game. I am horrible online. So all this new content at once is so fun for me. Keeps me busy for a while.
I’m 50/50 on the sets and seasons model. I don’t like not being able to use my set 1 cards after season 2. However if they say had a season like every 10 seasons or something where you could use any set type card then I would be down. Don’t know how balance would work though.
The thing I wish they did was if you were to complete all TA season 1 before season 2 that you would get vouchers for the new TA. Madden does this with the xp program and I just feel like banging my head against the wall with TA again.
It would be nice if throughout the other seasons they make special events for old seasons and people who get in the top or get to a certain amount of wins can get a voucher for them to unlock another card from an older season for a short amount of time or for the rest of the season. Just an idea tho. Let me know what you guys think

I feel excited and eager to play season 2 i also love the fact the hard work you do season to season like collections and stuff is rewarded in the new season. Thing that overwhelms me is stub factor. Making stubs can be challenging.
I was very excited for this drop because I wanted to switch the lineup around with so many cards coming out but in all of team affinity there is like 2 batters that are usable and maybe like one pitcher that actually had five pitch mix with good stats and degrom is basically the same as live series and then the cards that are in packs are mid as well basically mantle, Harper and ryno are good hitters with mays being useless with 85ish clutch… so basically like 5 goodish hitters but none that really surpass set 1 cards and basically bullpen help
I don’t really like the new seasons idea, for theme teams a lot of cards are going to become irrelevant and I don’t play all the time so having the cards I’ve collected become useless is kinda annoying
Idk if it’s just me but trout just tends to pop off when it’s not an angel in the outfield video… I appreciate the stalling Michael Nelson Trout since this is the last season of angel in the outfield😢
As a fan of the game with a full time job, I feel they over corrected with the content. Like it’s cool with all the new cards. But having a full time job doesn’t allow me the time to grind nonstop to get everything. And the fact they’re making all the best cards damn near impossible to get without spending a lot of money is just showing a bit of greed. I would love to use Mickey, but this will now be two years in a row that chances are I won’t be able to get him. I don’t have the disposable income that kids do using their parents credit cards or the time/money to spend on them that content creators do. Feels like they did this for part of the community and basically just fed the crumbs to the rest like me.
Did anyone else click on this video to see that koogs already has Mickey Mantle even though you already opened 5 chase packs and got absolutely nothing out of them, and now your sad because you sold half your team just to open up chase packs and all you wanted was your second favorite card in the game. Did anyone else do that?
The fact that I only get to use 1 card from set 1 (where all of the WBC cards are) for the wild slot when season 3 start blows. They turned it into Fortnite where only everyday players benefit.

I’m not a fan of any rewards being non sellable account bound cards. Madden players know about this all too well…. So I agree 100% with them making a change and giving us stubs or just more incentives to keep playing their most popular game mode. I think this change is a step in the right direction but they still have to get it completely correct
I went the play some ranked seasons last night I was at 800 last season so I was supposed to be at 700 this season. Butttt I went and loaded into a game and got reset to 200 idk if this is happening to other people or just me
I do like the sets and seasons concept however, if you’re working 40-50 hours a week it’s really hard to keep up with the game. But if i had to pick the old structure or this one, I’d choose this one

I was a defender of the sets and seasons until today. Today i got on excited and then had no motivation to grind anything bc my team is already better than every no sell card they dropped in team affinity and the other new program. Too many 99s to start, now that we all have 99s, everything from here kinda has to be 99s or no one is gunna wanna grind for them. Season 1 offline grinding was fun but now i cant just sit there and grind for something i dont want.

I really enjoy the sets and seasons model. It’s fun cause I’m 50/50 online play and offline grinding. It’s perfect for me. I do feel like there may not be enough content for the end of the year if they keep dropping all these crazy cards

For some reason when I load into anything like if I’m trying to look to see what is in a pack it takes like 5 seconds to load in
it's not just you. The servers have been super slow
This is the first time you don’t need to be spend money since some cards are use less after season 3

I’ve been saying this all year when someone complains about the value of their World Series rewards! Just give people who make that rating like 300-500k stubs. They deserve to be rewarded for putting the time and effort in to get that good. But do not punish the average player by making a reward that used to be sellable, non-sellable. It’s not right
I mean if I had the time and willpower to grind this game over and over and over I probably wouldn’t mind this model but there’s really no reason to restrict. This just feels like it’s going to end up netting them less money. I’m not someone who only plays one game. Like I’m going to be playing the new Zelda for weeks probably. This model doesn’t make me wanna come back to MLB after that

I feel like this is a skill issue, but I dislike that the World Series reward is nonsellable. I dont want to play online, but sometimes the cards are cool. Thats just me though
The offline grind will kill this game. People are having to spend their time offline and can never actually use the good cards. Content creators and super die hards are the only ones who will stay.

It’s forcing you to grind which most sports games are and when you use this as a pass time and not a dedication it becomes obsolete. The game is fun I just won’t be able to keep up
I love it because I am a freshman in high school playing no money and if i stop playing because of school i can pick back up and it be a whole new season and i am not so far back just cause i missed it allows me to catch up almost immediately

As a working man I’m overwhelmed with the content but I mean it’s good for the game and the people who have the time to really grind
But nonetheless I’m going to grind more in offline modes like conquest and try to do more team affinity and try to complete it so I can have the better cards
I think the sets and season model can work, but the issue I have is that there aren’t any 99s in team affinity and programs, they’re all either locked behind a paywall, (diamond duos, diamond choice packs in the store, chase packs) and that most of the cards that are lower in overall (91-95) aren’t very usable in ranked seasons.
What is the best way to get core cards collected for Corey Seager without having to do the live series collection?

It’s a bit overwhelming to have so much. I got the game in late season one so couldn’t get chipper. So I’m happy I can still go into set one and get team affinity and topps now done
i’ll be honest if i were someone that could play a lot i would enjoy it, but as someone who’s super busy a lot of the time i don’t get time to grind out the sets, i enjoy the old model better because even if i didn’t play i could work towards some better cards at anytime
