If they're not going to add disassembly, that's fine so long as they add the same type of weapon cleaning from the last game. It was simple, and worked really well and a risk/ reward mechanic.
Screw that, maintenance was obnoxious and repetitive. Also what "risk vs reward"? The only "risk" was jamming only reward was it not jamming for a few mags. It doesn't add any realism, realistically you don't need to deep clean your firearm every thirty minutes and you certainly shouldn't have to bust out barrel cleaning kit between every engagement.
@@nikushim6665 i find the maintenance relaxing and terrifying for both reasons you can turn down the time your weapons break so you dont have to do it as often 3:55
yeah I did love that mechanic but It was way too obnoxious. I am currently doing a play through right now and I have the weapon degradation turned down as low as possible and I still can't make it through one adventure without my gun breaking down and jamming constantly. It's just busy work with how they have it currently. Now if you know anything about real guns, they don't need to be cleaned every 15 minutes. I mean a realize as a game they need to ramp it up but it's just way too much.
@@oneill6291 Yep, you can spend a full day on the range with several hundred rounds and come back home to find vary little residue in the barrel when cleaning. Mean while in ITR you are ramming toilet paper into the barrel so often it feels like your using a flint lock musket.
@@nikushim6665 Exactly. At one point I think I went two years without cleaning my main shotgun and not as single problem with it, lol. And I would use it as a walking stick through the river, dragged through the mud, out in the rain/snow etc.
Imagine disassembling a AK to clean the inside barrel from the outside, clean certain inside parts like the trigger hammer n stuff, unrealistic imagination but cool, all we need is more guns imo
I don’t like how bright it is. All the vibrant colors and the new voices of the mimics remove the sense of dread and grittiness for me. I totally agree with you.
I'm going to play a few hours on every update and release. This game rocks. The first one is amongst the best VR games ever made and I hope number 2 can hold the banner and move it forward.
From someone that has yet to finish the first game, I'm super eager to just wait for this game to be as perfect as it gets. I would personally love to see a radio that can play some old soviet music (similar to what Habie does) to increase immersion. Maybe modularise it into a very small, staticy pocket radio that crackles when near baddies. (I've not played Radius 2 so if this is in there I dont know it but its what I want most in Radius 1)
Hyped for it! Though... they need to bring back the weapon weight sim/swaying STAT. I immediately noticed the weapons felt worse and less hefty in the most recent update, but I could not find anything in the patch notes addressing it. Really hoping it's part of the "body refactoring".
I use the PlayStation VR2 headset and controllers and it works phenomenal yeah it doesn't support every feature but I still feel like I'm not missing out on anything phenomenal experience favorite game by far
I think that full disassembly of guns not gonna happen. Because there is (or will be) too many guns to make parts for them (receivers, triggers, slide, barrels etc). I think coll addition may be an option to clean chamber when you lock slide to open position for example using old green toothbrush from ITR1 and you have second bigger brush (or something else) for clean gun outside. And of course ramrod and BIG roll of toiletpaper. Not too complex to add (especially when in game will be an option to lock the slide as I remember correctly...) and this will be an cool addition. For "I dont like gun cleaning" guys simple add option in menu "guns don't go dirty..." and that all.
it's great that the developers will include some old unit designs. The fragments still look cool as an enemy concept. The new mimics are ok, but I still prefer those black-burnt ass$#% that snipe you from halfway across the map with a makarov on their hands.
Conroy you should get the siaga 12 in into the radius 2 you can use slugs with a four round magazine and you can use the precision scope on it to make it a sniper
2:52 there are performance issues? I'm playing von Steam VR via WIFI to my Pico 4, no issues at all. Runs buttery smooth. On which systems is it having these issues?
I bought the game with my friend 2 month ago, I found that the game is still too early to even setting it as early access because of all the bugs and other stuff, did it change a lot since 2 month ago? Do you find the atmosphere not as frightening or spooky or uncomfortable as into the radius 1 too?
No bugs in singleplayer as of the last update, impressive for an early access vr game. However, the game is missing most of the charm that itr one had and it’s not scary in the slightest, although still intense as the new ai logic is brilliant. I think this is mostly because the colours are way too saturated and the brightness of the textures and lighting is way too high. Nighttime and dusk/dawn in this game is much more akin to itr 1 and you get that paranoia that you feel constantly in the first game. I think functionally the new base is great but it has no charm at all, I miss vanno a lot. Although, watching the helicopters and planes fly overhead is insanely immersive to me. I think if they just toned down the saturation, changed the voice lines to be more in line with itr 1, and toned down the brightness then this would fix a lot of those issues.
I searched for videos about my question but no one rlly spoke about it I was wondering if my rtx 3060 ti can run this game since from my understanding this game is rlly hard to run
Is it that big though. I thought it only had 2 areas I haven'6t really jumped in yet. I bought it and am keeping an eye on updates to see how fleshed out it gets before I jump in.
Homies I need help. Does anyone know how much power is required from the PSU to play this game? I get like les than 5 minutes of gameplay before all of a sudden my pc is restarting, and it's not from my cpu overheating. Gonna try air link today, but as faar as my link cable goes, I'm at a loss brethren.
Well, if it's a traditional desktop, a dying power supply could be a problem. Once the video card and CPU both start ramping up, the power will cut out and your computer will either be off or start booting back up.
i had just built a pc so i could run this game than i hear you say that you need a quantum pc to run this game... i was so worried that my setup was not good enough
I had that same issue at first. I got the game on Quest 2 a few years back, the original game was one of my first VR purchases & I stopped playing it for the longest time, I bought other games & played them before coming back to this. When I did get back into the game that motion sickness was gone hopefully its the same with you as this is one of the best VR franchises out there.
U need to build up ur vr tolerance with other games mate, propagation on steam is free and u stand in 1 spot which is good as it gets u used to being in vr.. after that play games like arizona sunshine etc which allows teleport movement with snap turning after a few weeks slowly try integrating a bit of smooth motion in ur vr games. Vr native games i find is better. Soon enuff u'll be able to stomach a few games running in smooth motion to the point where u can game for hours and not feel any sickness
ITR2 dev team is starting to piss me off. All of the sudden melee combat is a MAYBE for full release? How the hell were knives in some of the earliest versions of itr1 and theyre worried they can't even fit it into the full release of the sequel now. I was a big advocate of them and preach patience but they're really starting to worry me.
Noo my brother, I may have not made it super clear in the video! They just don't promise it's going to be available prior to the game officially releasing. Knife combat is still coming to the game, I just don't think it will be available during early access is what they mean.
