'Become an unskippable cutscene' is probably one of the greatest threats I've ever heard. Anyway, there was actually another update from OP of the first story and she's confirmed that yes, her mom now has full custody of her and dropped details as to what happened. Mainly, Adulteress got *violent* and attacked OP after what happened who managed to record it and sent it and a picture of the damage to her mom. It's why the police got involved. The Adulteress is to be kept away while OP can meet with her dad by her choice but made it clear it won't be happening. Lastly, it looks like the Adulteress is going to be in trouble anyway and they're going to be looking into the other kids.

Story 1 had an update and its massive
So after the last post, the adultress went nuclear and attacked op, pushing her against the wall and slapping her hard, leaving a cut on her face due to her nails. Op had recorded the incident when she heard fighting downstairs and came to see what happened (the phone was in her sports bra recording). The recording and picture was sent to her mother who called the cops and she showed up. Op had to go to the ER for stitches and questioned. Mom was chilled but extremely pissed off. Mom pressed charges on the adultress and has full custody of op now so she doesnt have to return to see her father or the adultress. Lawyers and CPS got involved so now adultress is being investigated about her own kids now.

Adultress went off the rails and pushed me against the wall and slapped me really hard. She has nails so it ended up cutting my face kinda deep and the cuts bled like crazy and I hit my head on the wall. I had put my phone on record and stuffed it in my sports bra band when I heard them start yelling for me to come downstairs so I got the audio for the whole thing. Cheater realized they screwed up I guess so while he was pulling her off me I ran and locked myself in the bathroom and sent the recording and a picture of my face to my mom.
Mom was the one that called the cops and she showed up right after they did. They let me go with her and one escorted us to the ER and I had to get a a few stitches and answer a bunch of questions. My mom is super chill but she was the maddest I have ever seen her. I had a little bit of a concussion so I wasn’t supposed to read or be on my phone a lot.
I know my mom told the cops she wanted to press charges on Adultress, but I don’t know what’s happening with that now. My mom says the custody situation is fixed for now, I’m with her full time. Cheater can ask to visit me but I don’t have to and Adultress isn’t allowed to have any contact with me at all. To which cheater said that was fine because she didn’t want me at the house anymore anyway. I had to talk to some social workers and a lawyer and I think Adultress may be in trouble about her own kids too but I don’t know.
So that’s what happened. Had to start school with a cut up face, but my mom’s a NP and she said they’ll heal up without a scar if we take care of them. And I don’t have to see Cheater anymore. Since the kid’s dad teaches at my school and I have to take a class he teaches before I graduate, my mom met with him and the principle and I gave her the game 9M liked and a bracelet 12F liked with a note to give to him so he could pass them on if he wanted. @@guywholikesgoodmusic I'm part of a religious family, I myself am religious, and my entire family can keep their mouths shut because they know what boundaries are, and how to respect them, they also don't gossip and all of us can carry a secret to the grave, even the one I have no contact with. For example: I have never heard my mother, father, nor any of my siblings complain about their spouse. They do not say a Single Negative Word about them unless it's in an honest question of 'am I making the right decision doing X, Y, or Z?'
You're equating clique/pride and trashy drama with religion. There's a reason the God warns us not to gossip, because it's common and easy to fall for temptation that a lot of people fall for, in and out of religion.
For reference, anyone who dares try to gossip to you, all you have to do is to offer to go to the person who is being gossiped about right then and there. They'll either get scared of the consequences and say no, or they could even do it out of genuine concern. My pastor has done that to dozens of people, and he's never gotten a yes to going to the person being gossiped about.

I very firmly don't want to be a parent. I don't have the physical capacity for it or the desire. But by not following the path I was brainwashed from a young age to take, I now am able to have enough capacity to be a fiercely passionate advocate for children and help more people than I could have otherwise.
None of us need to justify our decisions or "make up" for not having kids though. The worst parents kids can have are ones who don't actually want them or who resent them, and people who pressure childfree folks to have kids don't ACTUALLY care about the wellbeing of children like they pretend to. And humans don't owe anyone reproduction either. We only owe each other decency and a basic level of respect as part of being a communal species living in communities. The last story is so similar to my relationship with my dad. 2 months ago he moved away with only a couple days notice. The notice came with an essay from his wife about how selfish I am and probably glad they're leaving. This was after not talking to me for months because I sent a letter to him explaining how badly it hurt me that he didn't talk to me on my birthday because I didn't thank him for a Christmas gift. Which I did. Ugh... I hope all the best for OP. Step moms can be stressful for no reason.

    • @Zarlos01
      @Zarlos01 ปีที่แล้ว +6

It is similar to mine as well. But I still have a good relationship with my father. My stepmother tried to do that, whoever it always backfired, my father make my move with him two times, I'm have a bad health situation, and is quickly to stay at his place if I need attention. Helped raise my new stepbrother (he is 16 years younger than me) and have a wonderful relationship.
After a couple of freakouts of the new wife, I don't speak to her, she tries to talk to me although. She lost the battle with me, and every time I go to my father's place, she stays in her room, rarely dinners with everyone because of me.
Now the only big problem is that he lives one and a half hours outside rush hours, and to go there is always rush hours, she doesn't let me have a key. And my dad works almost 24/7, principal in a state school (Brazil), and has a lot of bureaucracy to deal with, even during vacations.

The first story I'm glad reddit told her to maliciously comply basically. Teenagers need to be their own advocates when no one else will stand up for them. Also happy she told the stepsister, who deserved to know what was going on even if it hurt her now.
The second story only happened because he thinks women don't have any right to have their own mind or interests. She never lied to him. He's just as bad as all those doctors that make women with endometriosis suffer without needed hysterectomies because "What if your future husband wants kids!?!" and they're not even dating someone. "What if you change your mind and want kids..?" UTERINE LINING GROWING WHERE IT SHOULDN'T causing immense pain. And they persist. They're the same as that ex-fiancee. She didn't string him along, he strung her along. He lied. He gaslit her. You're right he didn't bring this up. He didn't because he figured she'd just cave and feel obligated because he doesn't respect her autonomy. It's disgusting and I'm glad she got away before wasting money on this waste of oxygen. He should go take a trip in the woods and apologize to the trees for being a waste of oxygen. He is by far the worst of the 3 offenders in this video though as he planned for years to undermine her will.

Story 2: The thing that really gets to me about religious people (btw I’m saying this as a religious person myself) is that they get into relationships with people that are 10,000% against the religious partner’s core beliefs and then they get infuriated when the anti-religious person they willingly CHOSE to be in a relationship with doesn’t believe in their core values. It always bewilders the fuck out of me to hear or read stories like this.
“I’m a Devout Catholic and I got married to a Devout(?) Atheist and now me and my spouse are fighting over going to church every Sunday. wHaT dO i dO?!”
“I’m a MASSIVE Evangelist and I had 17 children with a MASSIVE Satanist and now I’m FURIOUS because my partner doesn’t want me to teach my religion to our kids because they believe that’s cult-like indoctrination. wHaT dO i dO?!”
“I’m an bible-thumping Anglican and I married an Anti-religious Pro-abortion Child-free trans man and now I’m RESENTFUL of the fact that my spouse doesn’t want to detransition and have kids with me. wHaT dO i dO?!”
Do these people seriously not see past their own foreheads? Do they seriously not have the sufficient foresight to realize that maybe JUST MAYBE the person that literally embodies the antithesis of their entire belief system is probably not the person to settle down with in the long term? Every single time a story starts with “I’m a massive religious person with a massive anti-religious spouse” I immediately don’t need to read anything more.
I know there will be non-religious people who will probably say “What’s the issue? The religious person can always just let go of their beliefs or compromise” but that literally makes no sense. Why does the religious person always have to compromise? I never read any stories where the non-religious person lets go and gives in. Maybe because the religious person feels this is important in the exact same way the non-religious person feels it isn’t. And what it really boils down to is there’s no reason why one partner has to be a perpetual pushover to their spouse. Not the religious person, not the non-religious person (especially if they’re not open to becoming religious).
As much as people like to believe in this magical fantasy land where a Jesus-loving bible-thumping devout Anglican marries a Jesus-despising bible-burning devout Satanist and they live happily ever after with their trans child and their other dog/cat children, that’s simply not real life. Sometimes some groups can completely avoid each other and that’s ok. I have never in my entire life understood this rampant social obsession to interlink two groups that absolutely despise each other. It’s like trying to arrange a marriage between a Grand Wizard and an Afrocentrist. It’s so moronic.

Story 1: I feel like this deserves a crosspost with r/MaliciousCompliance. In all seriousness, trying to force two people to interact never ends well, it just breeds resentment. Also what's the minimum age to have the final say in who you live with in a divorce? I could have sworn it was younger than 15.
Story 2: NTA; I agree that this is a conversation that should have happened long before this point. Maybe I've been watching this channel too long, but it sounds like he was banking on OP falling victim to the Sunk Cost Fallacy. Also OP should probably say "Sterile" and not "Infertile" in her profile; the latter means you can still get pregnant, it's just less likely, so maybe saying the former would filter out future buttholes like this by making it clear that babies physically cannot happen.
Story 3: This was heartbreaking to read. You and your father should be a package deal when the latter enters a new relationship, and that applies to any divorced/single parent entering a new relationship. How parents can act otherwise is beyond me.
