-Rocks are slippery so make sure you wear the appropriate footwear for your comfort level
-Make sure you go at LOW tide and leave before the tide gets high, my knowledge of tides is very limited, ask a lifeguard
-If a lifeguard tells you to leave you leave, they are just doing their job and probably know tides better than you do
-If there is a sign that caves are closed then CAVES ARE CLOSED
-Leave the beach cleaner than how u found it
-Park Hours 6am to 9PM
-Know your Limits, Go/Continue at your own Risk
-Always watch your footing, before I ran into the guy where u can see the pools there was a blowhole. Leading to it there is a crevasse that separates 2 rock formations, if you are not paying attention you can slip and fall into this crevasse, be careful and never go alone!

***It has been brought to my attention by several viewers that the pools will be closed for the rest of the summer bc it is too dangerous to enter the caves***
of anyone finds out otherwise lmk, thanks :)
This was a year ago. Any update
this is definitely not true and is a false bluff. The beach is free for public access all the way up to where the high tide reaches. Dont let rich people bully you off natural beauty, know your rights
@JaredandTasha Thanks for that info. These pools really are a beautiful piece of nature
Thanks for posting the tides link! Very helpful
Beautiful 😂
Thank you for sharing
🥾🥾
GREAT VIDEO ! 👏🏼👏🏼thank you !
Thanks for the positive vibes
Awesome video. Thanks
You got it, see u in the trails 🙌
I tried making a walking video of this place. I saw the cave to get there but the tide was too high 😢
So I just filmed the 100 steps beach instead lol
Basically your first part of your video ✅
Yeah that's what happened first time I visited, I didn't know how much of a difference is Low tide from High Tide. Thanks for watching 🙌
Very cool. Was this video shot recently? When I was there I was told the caves were closed
This was a few weeks ago, thanks for that info, I have updated on video description.
Did they tell you when they'd open?
@@lilyc9722 I think after summer
The people in the houses are not too happy that a bunch of people visit their backyard so theyve complained to the city and so “the caves are closed cus its too dangerous “ all of a sudden
Hi do you know where the source came from? I'm just curious to read more about it.
Nah they are still open - went recently & its public land so theres that.
false bluff. The coast is public access. that applies to 99% of California btw
There is no other way to access the pool like the stairs on the back or private area there?
No other way. The staircase belongs to the residents who live above, or the private community. And to the right, by the circular pool is private residence
@@hikeronatrail bummer I want to take my daughter there but doesn’t look to safe for her to go there 😅 ty for replying back 🥰
Thanks for watching! Be sure to follow me on Instagram @HikerOnATrail and check out my website WeHikeLosAngeles.com
Why is the second pool empty?
Why did the second pool get drained?
I'm not sure, the water must have obsorbed into the sand 🤔 or the tide earlier wasn't high enough to fill it
@@hikeronatrail The owner did that on purpose.
Are the caves open now?
Seems like they are, I usually check IG recent post of the location. Make sure u go at low tide, see u in the trails 🙌
Did you find out why the 2nd pool was empty? I went down there today only to be turned away Because of the high tide.
Probably just seeped back through the sand, or maybe tide earlier wasn't as high
The owner emptied it out on purpose!
@@thalismilisios2601 I'm not quite sure that he owns that. Their property line only extends to the high tide line. That is why it's not fenced off
@@thalismilisios2601 Look at the picture of the pool from above, see how it's wet all the way around. The high tide line Goes beyond the land side of the pool. He may have done something illegal there.
@@phillipgraves4721 On paper he does, also the high tide line argument even though valid is idiotic!!
announcement!!! sorry but they are permanently closed for anyone trying to go
Oh that's not good. Check out my other videos for other hikes. See u in the trails 🙌
