He really was one of the best singers that God created.
This one of Jim Morrison's richest vocal performance's. I know he never considered himself a singer, but this shows that he was much better than he thought.

@@s.baumard8161 He had a very healing presence about him; his voice and the way he wore his soul, for those with eyes to see and for those with ears to hear, he was more real than anybody will ever be.
I don't think he was even aware of just how real he was. He, probably, had been convinced that he was just playing a part, stage persona, but that side of him was very much real.
It just that the reality of this world had hit him hard in the last days of his life. I know he was a free spirit, but God warned us why boundaries, knowledge and wisdom are important while living on this side of the Heaven.
It is a pure tragedy to see how much pain and suffering he went through, no wonder his life was cut short, it all became just too much to bear. Regardless, he had so much potential in him and I will love him for his constant quest for a better, more free and true life. But, he was no better or worse than me or anybody else in this world simply because we all have good and bad sides to us. He was just willing to talk about it and very much passionate about it that he was willing to express all of it for others to see.

He had a good voice and he was much better than he thought. If he had trained his voice and continued singing, he would have become one of the best singers ever. But alcohol, cigarettes, neglect, overuse and screaming later damaged his voice. It would still have been a good rock and blues voice if he had lived. He will be missed forever.

I totally get you, Kiana. Jim's voice alone is just pure magic, it can take you places that nothing. When it comes to Jim, in general, he makes me cry or sometimes even sob. Something about Jim and his voice just breaks my heart into thousands pieces. I miss him, too.

jim morrison and karen carpenter were the two best singers of that era. There were plenty of other greats but they were the best male and female voices.

His dad was so wrong about his singing talent.
One of Jim Morrison's favorite singers and a definite influence to his vocal style was Frank Sinatra. The slow pronounced delivery of the vocal emphasizing certain words . Jim was trying to sing like a professional musician not a poet. I Really don't think that he took vocal training or performed with any choir to try and be some incredible vocalist. Jim just basically tried to emulate the singers that he truly admired and then he performed using his natural voice and fortunately he was able to create a rather impressive body of work that stands the test of time.
