I am 39 years old.. overweight and dunno a blimp about tricking except for may be a lousy cartwheel.. yet somehow this insipred me so much. Im starting my journey.. Will post updates 😎

Thank you so much! I understand my main problem now. When I was starting I used to believe in myself even though i had so many injuries. That's why I did much harder stuff then. Now i know how to do those things again!

What you said towards the end resonated with me a lot, about always putting myself down because of being afraid of seeming arrogant and not talking to people and stuff. I'm quite an introverted guy so I'm learning to come out of my shell more and be myself, that includes expressing myself in tricking and martial arts.

This happened to me ,too just because someone said tht u need do this do that..and I put myself down tht time..but suddenly i start believing myself .. nothing can stop me... nothing i am gonna grind hard and enjoy the journey.

dude, i feel that negative self-talk - like when i see my friends doing dubs so easily i tell myself-"why the fuck am i so shit, they can do dubs and i fucking cant, im such a fucking loser" etc
i am better at them at some other things, but maybe viewing yourself as less than them, you have the drive to get better than them or at least know that your shit and need to get way better whilst knowing that all these tricks are easy af
