Cutting that curve with a router was, as you Brits say, brilliant!! Loved this clever and fun project. Every time you turn on the cozy light you can feel happy and remember you shared that with all your viewers. ❤
You clearly have a 'mechanical mind' naturally as i constantly witness with every project that you share. Your explanations and reasonings as to why or why not you do or don't use particular tools or techniques are so transparent and this is the reason i subscribed ! You have common sense and a truckload of knowledge. Thanks for sharing your knowledge mate 👍👍👍
Thankyou for this one. I’ve tried a few things in the corner of my conservatory, but they weren’t right. With a few mods to your stand, to fit into my corner I’ll have a cracking little disco for the grandchildren…. I’ve got the lights on order, whist you were teaching…..
Nice little project. Another way to cut the curve would be to go close to the line with a jigsaw and then finish by taking the last mm or 2 with the trimmer.
Thoroughly enjoyed that although trying to build something like that in my garden using an old barbecue as a table and without access to all those tools I don't think my effort would be as good. Mind you I did make a charity raffle ticket machine from scraps of ply, sticky back plastic and some paint and it looked good and actually worked!😊
I can't wait to get my garage tidied up this winter so that I can install a table router and other useful bits of DIY equipment, so that I can be massively more productive in the evenings and weekends. Or a pinball table. Hmm.
Great videos. I've used Magic Home Wifi Controllers before. They connect to your home wifi network and don't need line of sight IR. Alexa and Google compatible. Around £5/10. 5M RGB tape £5/10 12V 5A PSU £5/10. Cheers, Paul McGuinness Nov 2022
That's came out really well, I think you should have given the edges of the timber upright a round over, unless you did and it looked sharper on camera.
Well I enjoyed the project and video very much and so via your affiliation link I now own the LEDs (slightly smaller string) and as soon my health settles I shall fit them. Thanks Kindest Bob England
Brilliant idea. Excellent tutorial, too. Sir, I have a question I’m hoping you would be kindly able to help me with. I have to refit a toilet seat and it has butterfly type screws underneath than I desperately need tightening up. Because I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis especially in my fingers I am unable to tighten them up. Is there such a tool I can buy that would help me with this please? Many thanks sir. Stay safe and well. Greetings from Cumbria in the U.K.
Stuart , what’s the most cost effective and easiest method to insulate under a corrugated fibre lockup garage roof …..getting to condensation season…….cheers 🍺🚀
Looks great but from experience I can tell you that those strips won't take long to break down. Heat is a killer for LED's so they need to be mounted to an aliuminium heatsink. You could route out and let in an ali box section the length of the strip then stick the LED to that.
I've watched so many videos on how to make these things, and up until today, they've all left me feeling meh... Your approach speaks to my inner woodworker. This by far the best and most elegant approach I have seen. The double bevel at the top is genius. Definitely doing this one! 💙
Would it be worth swopping the plug socket for one with a USB output so as to be able to plug the lights in directly while retaining a free 3 pin socket for the hoover etc?

Thank you very much Matt
Tip for us oldies, Take a picture of the pages from the manual with your phone and then you can zoom in to read them.
Again you've proved me wrong ! I thought that this project wouldn't interest me , but there ya go !!
Excellent project and so well explained. Top marks for fading out the theme tune playing from the speaker in your house there at the end 🙂
Glad you noticed
Thanks Stuart for this idea which I've just copied for a dark corner in our living room. It looks good and it was fun to make.

Absolutely fantastic and I laughed so hard when the proper diy theme played on the speaker at the end 😅

Or a pinball table. Hmm.
I enjoy all your videos Stuart. The end result of this cheap lighting was really good.
Thanks Martin
Great vid excellent work, a little less music though the sound of power tools is preferable to generic internet music
I love the dust extraction system - I wish I'd thought of that in the shed.

Necessity is the mother of invention 👌
Yep

Can't believe I made it in to the intro!!!! ♥️♥️♥️
Of course - a classic moment - although I didn't actually ask your permission but I thought you wouldn't mind.
Nice little project there. Clever. 🙂

So pleased I subscribed to your channel. As a side note, anyone ever told you you remind them of Norman Lovett (Holly from Red dwarf?) 😁
That is absolutely brilliant. I need something like this in my sitting room. I need to talk to my lovely son about that. 🙂
Nice one!
A great project Stuart, explained in clear simple steps. Mastery at work. Have a good week.
Thank you
Now that was incredibly enjoyable up to the end? 😮 lol

Bordering on genius, and love the comedy too. Thanks Stuart!!

@@ProperDIY my pleasure mate. Really professional blogs and you don’t settle for second best (apart from that bloody brush handle at the start🤣🤣)
Love it.

I know what that is......... it's a scratch post for a tuned in dropped out cat. Crazy man!
Great video, and I really appreciate the sound editing right at the end 😂
Well spotted
To bright. To dark. Proper little Goldilocks, aren't you? 😉😂
Neat project though!

Easy come easy go
I'm going to have a go at this, but can you tell me where you got your charger for £2.50?
Well done! That compound angle at the top looks very stylish
It came out well
Love the project. Good video. Thanks.
I really doubt that everything is included in that 25£ tho, but ok.
Thanks- cost breakdown is in the description and only uses 1/9 of a sheet of ply, one length of timber and a cheap led strip light.
Plant pot as a weight for the base is a clever idea. Lucky your corner is 90 degrees, I bet mine aren't.
Brilliant again Stuart! Just wondering what your thoughts are on the Trend cordless router thinking of getting one but need a trusted review
Good pieces of kit in my experience
Can you share what Table Saw you use and are you happy with it please?
Evolution Rage 5. It's ok for the DIY'er
@@ProperDIY Savage! Not a ringing endorsement then…
So, did you or didn't you use the 15 degree cut? Sometimes it appears and others not?
I did
Genius
Brilliant.

Bugger... Another project to add to the list 🤣🤣. Nice one Stuart.. Love it 👍
It's getting longer!
Hi Stuart did you say I'd won a prize in a previous message ? Cheers
My man, just put the tiny instruction book on your copier and enlarge it….. I do. Your 3:1 printer will copy.

This is brilliant - you make me feel that even I might be able to do this. What a great idea!
Give it a go!
Great skills! I thought you were going to dance at the end when you turned the music on!
No, I don't want to put viewers off!
What brand is that respirator?
That's a new Dewalt - video all about them coming soon
Just moved house and looking for exactly that type of light.

When you go out of your way to reply to so many comments. It says everything about the person a top bloke.
Thank you for saying so

Brilliant! Err, the video not the lights. They're nicely moody.😁
Thanks
You're obviously retired....
No, I have a full time business
Not really the time to be adding more electricity consumers for me.
