My favorite moment of Nanami's story is when she rejects Miki's proposition to switch places with her. Nanami rejects almost everyone in the story - her rivals, eventually her brother, even Utena (in a frienemies sort-of way). This is the only time she rejected someone to protect them - it felt like Miki would've gotten in a lot of trouble if she didn't stay living with Anthy and Utena and confronted her problems. The show's really brief on showing its characters getting happy endings, so it was a standout scene where Nanami made a mature decision. She got to be a hero in her own special Nanami way.
This Video is a view on the manipulation that Touga uses on his younger sister, the manipulation that is being used on him. They are both victims, both children. But this edit is centered on Nanami, a sheltered 13 year old. Who views her brother as this amazing prince, she loves him (Like a sibling). he's the only one to give her attention, not even her parents give her attention. So she's scared of losing him... but she realizes, that she's just another insect in the swarm of girls following touga. just another insect to be swatted away. she's not special. her brother is a bad person.
@Tokachitheartist they are adopted siblings, still siblings (That's why I specifically said it's not a ship edit, don't ship siblings it's werid) Nanamei is not in love with her brother romantically. But she doesn't understand that her attachment to him his unhealthy. She also doesn't realize that he's just using her. That's what this edit is about.
@@SaladdEdits tbh the movie, manga and anime are 3 different universe and meant to be different situations even if the same story, in the anime/manga is never showed that touga had this happened to him, it could but is not 100% a thing to say is canon (like technically speaking movie touga is a ghost the whole time and thats certlainly not his case in the others) but i do feel the anime allude that anime touga had been groomed by akio which is a whole other can of worms even if in a similar nature personally i think that all 3 versions are meant to complement and serve each other while being their own thing, so i do feel that touga in all canons is a sexual dude because he likely was pushed to it early in life but not in all was groomed, or by the same person

In the end only she can be the prince to herself

Shes just a little girl, oh nanami 🥹🥺
nanami deserves so much more
Utena content in 2024?! It must be a miracle!
love my girl nanami, I hope she's out of Ohtori living her best life
Watching this with tears in my eyes
Excellent work. Great character fit
The funny thing is that the video was posted on August 8th. And it was Nanami's birthday, by the way.
@finoftly WHATT omg I had no clue august 8th was her birthday!! 😭 what a werid coincidence
In case you didn't understand or never saw this in anime, these two are siblings, blood siblings

@@SaladdEdits oooh :O
I thought he lied about them being adopted to mess with her, he said the idea of adopted siblings is much more romantic 🤢 @SaladdEdits
@@BurntPie no they are adopted. It's confirmed in the movie that their "father" bought Touga and was sexually assaulting him 🤮...
