Superb is the king in this segment.. I have driven all the three and found the superb way better in terms of luxury and quality..Camry is far second..this is a biased review
No, the VW Arteon is far better.
I don't think it's biased. Toyota has used features from their sportier lexus versions (e.g. lexus IS) into this camry. They are very strategic with combining luxury and handling for indian market.

here in UAE ,all the taxis are toyota camry,in odometer,it shows 10 lakh kms,you can ask any taxi drivers in UAE ,it runs from morning 8 o clock till 12 pm with 50 degree climate continuously,ultimately it is the best reliable car in the world.

The new Camry is actually a very good car. Debating is fine but at the same time we need to understand few things.
1. It’s Hybrid, fyi it’s series and parallel hybrid. Causes less pollution than that of its diesel counterparts.
2. It’s design is based on TNGA, Toyota new global architecture. Link for your reference ( global.toyota/en/mobility/tnga/ )
3. Toyota has always been manufacturing reliable cars throughout the globe. For people who doesn’t know about the cars, please speak to the people who owned it.

Fake test, petrol camry will Never have better MPG than diesel VW or skoda
Camry has a hybrid motor which allows it to get around 15-16 kmpl i.e. around 40-45 MPG. The fuel economy for Passat and Superb is really low due to its massive weight and the fuel economy is around 10-11 kmpl
Passat has adaptive suspension in the whole video that was not mentioned. Neither of the rivals have that feature. And fuel economy of passat is much better i have driven around 950kms in one full tank.
Anyone else here who is disappointed by this comparison? Any link for an actual unbiased review?

Gautam Pandit there is no virtual cockpit launched in Superb yet. It’s quite surprising as Octavia & Kodiaq L&K have it already.

These are, like, very ordinary cars in North America.
Camry- very comfortable & reliable but less driving pleasure. CVT feels crappy & lifeless steering.
Toyotas can run for 4 lakh+ Km even.
VW- Driver's car but less reliable. Weak automatic gearboxes. Expensive parts. Best upto ~1.5lakh km only. Passat is a heavy car. Feels little underpowered with 1.8tsi. Best with 2.0tsi (same engine as Audi A4)

Have a look at toyota etios it has less hp and thus people dont buy it and go for dzire if they bring a small engine in camry then people would go for other options in market which has more power

Currently Iam looking for my second car and can’t make my mind up between Passat and superb. I have driven both of them and both r quiet similiar in terms of quality and performance. It’s so confusing but I have to say Passat got little edge in the comfort department because of its ride is very close to merc e class on the other hand superb is bit of on the sporty side. Passat looks cool in an estate version with the GT trim and superb looks better in saloon version with SE BUSINESS trim.

Camry 2018 comes with all new engine and dynamics, i have already driven this and owner of 2011 camry.
1) it is +205 PS the figures here are from Old petrol Camry and new gen petrol camry is 200 ps +. Due to Direct Injection Technology
2)RELIABILITY to last for +2 lakh miles . Better than most of it
3)Ability to give 21kmpl. Trust me i have driven this car for 4 kms, going at 40kmph on battery mode, in 2014 camry, (Not mine). With this one it is even more.
4)atleast better dynamics than rest of two, butch looking cars. One car which can beat it is Mazda 6

Well i can definitely backup you when it comes to price... Honda accord is waayyy more pricier.. Almost clost to high end BMW320d/baseline 3series GT...,
but m pretty sure honda accord hybrid is a better car than these three mammoths if priced better.. Localisation of accord is a must if honda wants to sell a handful of its flagship sedan...

@@bhawanishsingh Passat gets 240 HP, 500 NM state of 2.0 TDI, 280 HP, 320 NM 2.0 TSI engines which are missing in Superb. Superb is used as taxi in Europe. Skoda is the most affordable VW. VW in China is like suzuki in India. Europeans obviously prefer VW over Skoda bcz of badge and little more quality.

Camry looks terrible, both german cars are way ahead in every department except for their reliability. And considering their diesel engine and comparing them to a hybrid is a cheat, this review is biased and he did not talk about each cars performance individually he spent most of his time admiring the one that was sponsored..

Next 6-10 years there will be very less or No diesel cars,the future is hybrid and Electric. Also even if they do compare Superb makes 188bhp in petrol, Camry 218 bhp. The dsg is mind blowing agreed but in terms of ownership Toyota/Lexus wins hands down. Also sales figure- none of those cars are doing well...that executive sedan Segment is a dying segment. people have moved on to Compact Suv's or Suv's .
I wish we had hybrids and electrics from 10 yeas ago, that is quiet impossible to especially wish away what we have managed to do with the environment but having said that.... The auto journos should consider what they are trying to say here comparing a hybrid to a diesel...i never said diesels are better than electrics, these days el3ctrics are much better and improving with a long and bright future ahead but if you start comparing apples and oranges and then come out with a verdict that oranges have more vitamin c then is it a comparison?? Why not compare the camry hybrid with other similar hybrid or fully electeic cars. I can go ahead and compare it with a hyundai etron or a tesla model s or even model 3. They would come out trumps on everything possible and be more sensible for the environment but would that be fair?? The question is what is overdrive trying to do here except push the marketing agenda.
Samar Ansari all car are in the same price range..and these are anyways not meant to be a driver's car. Diesel engines have more torque and that's it. Camry here will outlive other cars and bullet proof reliability of Toyota means it's a good luxury sedan in its class.

What the hell is wrong with overdrive?? Clearly the superb and Passat is far better than the overrated Camry. Be it driving stability, engine performance or exterior Design....the superb and Passat excels better. You made the Camry a winner in what basis?? Just because the Camry has an head up display? And in terms of safety both the Passat and superb has scored a 5 star in Euro NCAP(The Euro NCAP introduce sstricter requirements to keep the bar for a five-star rating sufficiently high) whereas the Camry has scored a 5 star in ASEAN NCAP ( no strict requirements needed). Only if you care about fuel economy and cheap spare parts then you can choose the Camry.
what is wrong with you?? It's not overrated...go check the car, It's much reliable than those two Germans, the electrics work every time. there are 9 airbags for god sake, also the doors feel much heavier than even BMW 5 series. It has reclining seats that pamper you, There are full led headlights, tail lights etc. That JBL system sounds superb. It's engine comes directly out of the lexus Es ....trust me they make smooth engines. Also enough of this non-sense about German build etc.....Lexus & Toyota have upped their game........Lexus craftsmanship and Quality is at par Bentley , RR.

Average sales is higher for the superb and Passat. The safety for both Passat and superb is conducted by the EURO NCAP which means they have strict regulations. The Camry safety was conducted by ASEAN NCAP which uses a lesser strict requirement for safety. The Camry reclining seats will become defective in about 6 months. Just ask consumer reports about it. Full LED lights are also available in the Passat and superb...so your point is invalid. Cargo and fuel tank capacity is more in the superb than the camry. No fucking sunroof in the Camry for a car which is 5 lakhs more. Pathetic. More horsepower and torque in the superb.
Lexus and Toyota craftsmanship is nice but not at the same level as BMW, Audi or Mercedes. Don't even compare the Lexus with RR or Bentley please. They shit on Lexus in terms of design and refinement.
And on more thing.....Skoda is not a German car. It's from Czech republic. Please at least don't mess up the countries.

@@krishk7532 test driven a Camry before with my friend that's why I'm saying about the driving stability is poor compared to Passat or superb. Sure the engine noise is less in the former but the acceleration power and the command is far better in the Passat and superb. And please I'm not a VW fanboy...I love the Toyota Innova Crysta and the altis but the Camry is in no match with the Passat and superb.

Meh, I've a Passat, my uncle has a Camry. Prefer the Camry to be honest. Sure, if feels cheaper material wise but I think it looks better and the hybrid camry is much faster than my 2.0 tdi dsg Passat, but my Passat has way more extras than Camry. CVT trans in Camry is much smoother than dsg
Correction: Camry has 215 bhp power
while the video mentions 178bhp.
This makes Camry the most powerful in the segment as well fuel efficient in the segment. Yes 0-100kmph drag is a bit faster in Superb but 100-150kmph sprint timing will be the same. Camry starts slow but instant torque from the electric motor helps with smooth and linear acceleration right upto 200kmph
Camry looks ugly outside and 50 % inside center console and steering airbag . Volkswagen a bit black Interior may be less marks but not less than Camry. Skoda looks good interior (simple as well). I like Passat gril and headlight design with drl's than superb. Camry ugly looking from front. I don't know about reliability or price or acceleration or mechanics. But I like the two German cars. But HTF Camry wins everything? It's not premium looking it looks like more etios to me. Sorry if I hurt someone. But it's my opinion. And FE doesn't matter if price tag between them is 4 lakhs diffrence. I have to pay 8000 pm or more emi . FE figure save 2000 pm? Not more than that. Present Honda City VAT 2011 giving 9.5 kmpl around the city where no traffic jams just 3-5 speed bumps every day.

E.g. Toyota Camry
N.A.:- ~Rs18 lacs+ 13% GST= ~Rs21 lacs
India:- Rs37.5 lacs ex-showroom (incl. GST & cess 43%)
Which means base price of Rs 25 lacs in India compared to Rs 18 lacs in N.A.

In India Camrys dont sell much cause toyota is not associated with luxury, on the other hand skoda and volkswagen is considered as premium. In other parts of the world like US, the camry outnumbers the sales of both passat and superb together. Toyotas though are unexciting to drive, are reliable and gives a stress free ownership. The services doesnt burn a hole either. Indian versions are priced on the higher side though....

Immaterial of how good the Skoda or VW is, it can never match the customer service of a Toyota. In spite of these being the D2 segment, I have come across people saying that the ASS is a nightmare for the VW and Skoda. Couple that with lack of availability of spare parts, the Skoda or VW is the last thing one would consider when getting a Luxury sedan. A luxury car not only means the car feels good, but the customer service too. As much as I like VW and Skoda, If I get a D2 sedan, I wouldn't mind getting the Camry over the other two.
