I swear, the Cubs DESERVED to go to the World Series. To see all the fans at Wrigley so excited and jumping up and down only makes me feel even sadder.
Too bad the NLCS was not best of 7 games instead of 5 until 1985, who knows if the cubs get a shot to get back home, I never liked the short series format.
Somebody else mentioned this in another video of this series. But, Game 2 was in Chicago. Game 3 in San Diego. There was NO off day between those two games. The off day came between Game 3 and 4!!
ABC makes some adjustments for their LCS coverage. Jim Palmer and Earl Weaver allegedly couldn't call a game together, so they keep Palmer in the AL thus calling the ALCS with Al Michaels & Howard Cosell. Then they move two AL only personel to the NLCS? Difficult to see Reggie Jackson in any National League park except for Dodger Stadium, where he played four World Series in as well as one All-Star Game.

But hey, at least they finally won it in 2016!
I can't put my finger on it, this feels like watching a movie rather than a tv broadcast
I know what you mean. I think the camera angles and the fact it’s over 30 years old gives it some vintage look. I love it!
This is awesome!
How sad it was that after this game, it looked like the Padres had no chance to comeback
The Cubs so close to the World Series, that it was only a matter of 32 hours. No... 32 years.

Too bad ABC didn't give Harry Caray the full time to shine. Did get a glimpse of him at 28:05

Insane schedule
4:15 interesting.....
Interesting that Reggie mentioned Billy North! They got into a fight, with North winning, when they were with the A's!
