After studying these Q&A's I was able to pass my first Security Engineer I role interview I accepted the offer and start next week. Thank you so much!!!
@@prussianeagle1941 congratulations to you... I have an interview on Monday for network security internship. Do you have any advice for me? Questions most likely to be asked maybe?
I was expecting more of a technical interview. This is like interviewing for an entry level position with a non technical interviewer. Im going off on a limb but I think this is more of a generic splat against the wall and hope something sticks type video. If you're mid level or higher, you're going to need to explain a lot of things in detail and I think if you keep saying Im a team player, my greatest weakness is my that I take projects too serious and dedicate my whole time to it diligently. I think youd get laughed out the room tbh. If I was doing the interview, I would never hire you with those answers, just being honest.
Im a CISSP (relatively new) and have over 20 years experience as a Infrastructure sysadmin. I am interviewing soon for a role in Cyber Security and while cyber security has always played a part in my life in IT its never been my sole focus. I want to be able to communicate during the interview my years and experience plus my new cert and also my dedication to the position. This helps a lot
@@CareerVidz in a few days. Vulnerability management with a infrastructure focus. I feel like its the perfect role for me but I dont want the interviewers to dismiss me out of hand because my life didnt revolve around Nessus.
Incredible video, straight to the point with rock-star delivery. My only question is, do you have something similar for people with no IT background? I'm finishing up my BA in cybersecurity but I have no formal experience in the field, only 5 years of customer service and 1 year of trade work (HVAC). Your videos are much appreciated, thank you !

Hey! As you have mentioned in a technical question about securing a server using SSL, should it not be TLS? As most companies are moving from the now slightly insecure SSL. Thank you for this video!
Most places still refer to SSL when describing port 443. its like saying you have a phone when really you have a iphone 14 handheld computer in your hands...you still refer to it as a "phone"
This is a really helpful video and I am going to prepare myself on these questions for the interview I have tomorrow for the role of Senior Cybersecurity Analyst ..! Thank you so much for putting this together and sharing with us ..! Appreciate your efforts ..! God bless you !🙌🏻
This is an excellent episode. Can you make an episode for an ISO (Information Security Officer) role and for a CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) role?.
I Subscribed to the channel and the answers you mention are excellent. This is the only channel which elaborates the keywords we mention in an interview.
Happy to hear that! I have these two for you next: 1. th-cam.com/video/dEfhF_OVwCI/w-d-xo.html 2. th-cam.com/video/tgrJ6Lirk2w/w-d-xo.html Please would you SUBSCRIBE to my channel? I'd very much appreciate your support. Thank you! Richard 🙏
I appreciate your work a great deal. But please note that your “technical questions” are not quite there. Look at the CISSP certification questions for more realistic interview questions.
Sir, I'm sorry but this won't work. The first answer got a show don't tell bug, the second one leaves out the hook/pacing, the third one ignored a bit the purpose of the question and delivered a quote and the 4th is wrong and not useful. SSL is TLS now AND have you asked what kind of server "Thank you for that question. Please, beside the obvious hardening of accounts, rights, services, patches and ports could you be more specific what kind of server?" It shows one thing: Precision! You could serve this also as a weakness: "My weakness would be to be analytically a bit too precise. Therefore my evenings often end up in deep research." Not asking for help isn't a weakness - it is a substancial flaw.
Hey man, I did a couple of interviews for the last two months and i still have no job. i did what i thought the best and i answered their questions honestly. i'll just keep on watching your videos in order for me to improve more.

Thats part of the question. The candidate should know that SSL was depreciated/replaced by TLS. That shows correct understanding of that topic. They ask about SSL on purpose.
@@EBadawi Why shouldn't a candidate know the history behind a protocol that is still being used? Yes TLS replaced SSL but there are many places still used SSL. If you do not know the history behind it, you are bound to mistake it and use it. Its that simple, you need to understand history to get a grasp on where we are now.

the tell me about your self is kinda bland, managers know you are hungry everyone has "problem solving skills" and to "think like a hacker" is sorta redundant and subjective of course it leaves your self open to questions such as, "why makes you think you are a hacker?" idk to me the "tell me about your self" sounds something scripted just how scammers from India talk, put sir at the end of the "tell me about your self" and you would see what I'm talking about lol.
I don't mean to come across as rude but these responses are all fluff and could easily make you look silly and get laughed at in the backroom. These are questions that will only be asked at entry level at most.
@@CareerVidz The "tell me about yourself" response has too much fluff with no substance about what you've actually done. A much better response will be a chronological summary of your resume so you don't end up offering too much information about your skillset. The response from this video might prompt an interviewer to ask "gotcha" questions which will make for an unpleasant experience for all parties involved.
What will be the best answer Q. What is the most challenging thing you will find about this new position? Q. What do you understand by customer complaint?
