    Check your clutch alignment and also Polaris has an over travel issue cuz they try to gain that last mph sucking the belt way down into the the secondary causing lots of heat. And if you're clutch alignment is set too far apart it only makes that issue worse. Check out Hunterworks! Todd is the owner and he knows Polaris clutches. The first thing I do with a new machine is make the clutches proper and fix any inherent issues and add a Hunterworks belt. I have 1500 miles on the current Hunterworks belt and all is well!

    Holy crap this one may have saved me from a lot more headaches. We've been battling error codes ad limp mode appearing and disappearing issues on our XP4 the last few times we have went out riding. Never could narrow down the issue and the error codes keep directing us to replaceing O2 sensors and plugs and other odd crap. We've jumped thru those hoops and have solved nothing. Not once has it crossed my mind it could just be damn belt slippage. Gonna have to dig into that some more and replace this belt before we give up and take it back to the shop again...........and still jealous of these trails they look so fun.

    • @dirtdudes

  • @Lebatron1970
    @Lebatron1970 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Them so called great belts aren't really better then OEM ones. They may be harder to break and last longer but that is I suspect from using a much harder compound rubber. Like in tires the harder compound tires last longer but don't grip as well. So in belts would you rather have good grip or last longer. If saving money is your number one priority over performance then you may think going with the non-OEMs will save you money in the long run. Personally, I learned the hard way after these hard compound belts ate grooves into my clutch faces. $900 later (replaced primary and secondary) I went back to OEM and will never touch these so called "good" belts again. They are a scam. Just cheap ass belts with a powersports business name you think you can trust. They make really good money selling $80 belts for $150.

    • @dirtdudes
      @dirtdudes  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have the same opinion on the matter. Both of our machines have had grooves in our clutch faces
