Thanks! My husband had one for the first time like a year ago and he kept asking for a chocolate martini after that where ever we went. He was never satisfied so, I decided to make him one. I used your recipe and he LOVED it! I really appreciate your video and will stick with this one for sure! 🤗
The Facebook group brought me here! Omg... this looks so good! I love the video, the music and the editing. Makes me feel like I’m really sitting at the bar while you make me a drink! Keep it up. I’m officially a subscriber and look forward to more videos!
Thanks!! How closely similar was yours?! I'm pretty convinced every bartender just has their own chocolate martini recipe!! ... And they are all delicious! :)
Very good video. My own personal recipe, I like to put a melon ball portion of Bluebell vanilla ice cream in the glass after the chocolate swirls. I mean, if you are going for decadent, get crazy!! ;)
This is my favorite version of all the Chocolate Martini's I've done by far, and my mom's too ! (I used Mozart chocolate liqueur and .75 oz of "low fat(15%) heavy cream", so sweet, I like nutmeg as a garnish too, nice opener for the upcoming coffee flavors) Thank you for this killer recipe ! (actually deadly, be careful, a chocolate cake never made me feel this way before) And since I don't really comment usually, regular watcher here, keep up the good work ! (from france, don't really matter, but I think it's refreshing to interact with people around the world o/ )
thanks!! :) Your mom's version sounds amazing as well!! And I'm with you, I think every drink like this could use some nutmeg, but I'd get in trouble if I put it on everything! lol Thanks you soo much! I have been gone working on the cards for the last few weeks we will be launching them in a month or so, but I am finally back to recording videos again!
Thanks! The double strain keeps out tiny ice chunks that break off while shaking. Some people don't mind the ice chunks in their cocktails and don't double strain. But in this cocktail, it's supposed to be foamy and thick, and the ice chucks don't let that foam on top settle so it changes the consistency of the drink, and hard to put chocolate on top! :)
Ye gods, I'm just at whipping cream and I'm already salivating ahaha. Hell yeah, what a fucking blend, can't wait to make this at home!! Also, your shaker face is on point!! 👌
This is deadly delicious! I just laughed when I tasted it! Haha thanks! So different giving the shaker face to a camera instead of a bar top, but I'll take it!
@@itsjemmabondCacao is chocolate in it's natural form such as cacao trees or cacao nibs. Cocoa is processed such as cocoa powder. It's a common mixup in English as the two words are very similar.
You are 100% correct! In the 1950-70s Vodka was a massive craze in the US. Since it has no flavor the popular thing was to add sugar/juice/mixers with Vodka. Well to make it worse the martini glass was very popular so people decided to put everything in a martini glass and added “tini “ to the end of the name. This drink was created by Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson while filming the movie Giant. They did the same thing adding chocolate and flavor liqueur to vodka and adding martini to the name. Many bartenders have tried to reverse the trend and rename a lot of drinks, but it was ultimate too confusing especially popular drinks that people expect like “chocolate martini” or “apple-tini” ect.

Why the double strain ?

Doesn’t adding Kahlua make it abit of a coffee martini ? Why add that ?
I think you mean Creme de Cacao, not Creme de Cocoa.
Yup! Total brain lapse on this video, lol I didn't realize I kept saying "cocoa" until I was editing the video, at that point to late! :)
@@CocktailCards I just wanted to mention because so many people think cacao is cocoa. Glad you knew.
@@GrantMcWilliams What's the difference?

Why is this called martini? It doestn contain any kind of martini

Why Kahlua? That is coffee liqueur
That’s got to be delicious and boozy. What a combination.
Thanks!
