She's an adult? Not in her opinion. Every single friggin' podcast, she goes on for ten minutes about how 18-19 isn't really an adult, but still a child, despite what the gov't says. I do not understand her problem with this. Fine, she was/is a late bloomer--but she needs to learn that her experience isn't the same as most people's. @UCuMogplbhpPPJ0D0LsMkoWw It’s even more sad that you’re hate-watching a girl who built her own career and calling her spoilt just because she can afford a 3.5 million dollar mansion. I love how she talks about the presses of getting into reading. @@melodieaka4066 I believe that books have become lost in a society where social media has taken over people's lives. When bored, people tend to go straight to their phones and laptops instead of picking up a hardcover book. Students and adults read textbooks and their school books, but are they doing it for enjoyment? Probably not because they are required to read the textbook or that school book. But going to a library and getting a book to read for enjoyment is something that we should be normalizing instead of going to something that we use every day which is social media.
the perks of being a wallflower, shadow and bone, the alchemist, shatter me series, the kingdom of the wicked and anna and the French miss are my favorites
Read Siddhartha ... I feel like when one's alone at home for a period of time, you start screaming an being funny with yourself... it's like your true personality starts blooming :')
emma: spends the whole video talking about the benefits of reading also emma: "look up online what eye shadow color compliments your eye color and start wearing that eye shadow color. Thats what I want you to take from this video."
Book recommendations: Based on what you said about enjoying having more perspective on human history - try Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. If you want a lighter intro to mind-bending nonfiction then try Hyperspace or The Future Of The Mind, both by Michio Kaku. For Classics, I'd recommend The Odyssey by Homer and Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky. Dostoevsky has a lesser heralded novel called The Idiot, which personally I love more because it's like a dramatic 19th century soap opera and some of the characters are ridiculous, lol. If you want something way more chilled and funnier to read then you can't go wrong with Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, etc). Just a few suggestions, I'm glad you're enjoying reading more!
orange and blue r complementary colors, so orange eyeshadow will bring out the blue in ur eyes, and vice versa, so that’s prob why u get a bunch of compliments!! bc the colors balance each other out and “complement” each other so well

It's this effect that I used to have watching TH-camrs when I was like 14 and since then it didn't really happen anymore? Idk how to explain but this sparked sth special in me. I feel validated honestly haha
Personally, I can never get into a book. Even if I like a book, I physically can’t get into it like others do. I’ve always said I’d rather watch paint dry. Idk why but I hate reading. Every once in awhile I’ll get the urge to and then I’m like oh ya. This is why I don’t like reading

Like if you don’t read that’s how it feels, reading 3 pages like 7 times cause you don’t get what you read and then you just stop reading. Or like you’d tart it, get a few pages in, go do something else and then just never pick it up. I love how everything that happens to her is so relatable with exactly where I personally and in my life, it’s so weird but kinda cool.

@@melodieaka4066 people just overuse that phrase 🤣 she’s doing something but it’s not normalizing

Book recommendations:
Based on what you said about enjoying having more perspective on human history - try Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari.

“I’m just gonna enjoy my life for what it is” the best piece of advice I’ve heard all week
My therapist taught me that if you do less you feel worse, and if you feel worse you do less. It's a cycle and the easiest way to break the cycle is to try to do more, (like do more things or go outside more or try new hobbies).
Yeah that's a great advice, when you do stuff you will produce more energy the next day and feel better overall
