F40 is still the best Ferrari they ever built in my opinion. The style, sound and simplicity of it is like a masterpiece plucked from the idea of a racecar for the street. Plain and simple........ Perfection!

The F40 is timeless. I fell in love with it since its inception. That, the 959, and Mclaren F1 are the most perfect hypercars in the world....I don't care that today's hypercars are faster and handle better. They won't be classics 20, 30 years later.

The best car ever made! Funny fact, the first 20 or 25 F40s manufactured in 1987 had power above 650hps and weight below 1100kg, all because they were outside the traffic rules that started to apply in the following year, these models have more or less the same spec as the 288 GTO EVO, and with that the 0-100 was made around 3.1s if it got some traction, and the maximum speed was above 370km/h, Ferrari hides their existence so as not to devalue the other F40s I think, but one changed hands recently in Monaco and they say the value was more than 4 times the value of a "normal" F40 !! Great content!!!
There is also a difference between the US and the European models. The US models have ugly pieces on the outside because of safety rules. They also don’t have fuel bladders like the European models, and many more differences. The 0-100 km/h run takes 4.8 seconds on US cars, while Euro cars do the same in 4.1 seconds. Top speed is also a bit lower in America, with 313 km/h and 324 km/h on European F40s
Reason why it's very similar to the GTO is because the engineer is the same and he created the car alone.

Him and Amy’s channels were like the first car TH-cam channels I ever followed back then, probably when I was like 10 or 11 years old honestly. He’s the first reason Lamborghini is my dream car brand, a dream that I’m still pursuing and a dream that you guys help continue to inspire

Robert Himler wow. He was the guy that inspired me and was the first car TH-camr I subscribed to apart from Shmee150 back in the day. What a Legend he was. To know of his passing back in the day was heartbreaking. It was like loosing a best friend. Glad he is still remembered

Ferrari F40 suppose to be a Group-B car.. super light stripped to bare minimum, manual shifter, is a pure monster as stock but with those crazy up-grades : titanium exhaust (which i think it pretty much make it sound like F1), LM-BBS rims wrapped in sticky Toyo- R888 that's a 'Legendary wet dream baby' ! yes.. that car worth 2 millions $ and over years might fetch even more. ;0)

After all these years, the F40 is STILL one of the purest, most perfect shapes of any sports car or supercar ever built. Pinninfarina got that one SO right. They never fail to make me smile, and they look so good in white....
Agreed. Crazy thing is this car was never penned from scratch, and is basically the street homologation of the 288 GTO Evo, which is the 288 GTO's evil track-going spawn. Some saw the F40 as "crude" and "unrefined" when it was first released because of this. It just so happened that this is exactly what people wanted.

OMFG! This brings back memories! In Scottsdale, AZ, 1986, I was 20 yrs old and hanging out at the Ferrari store in Scottsdale Airpark. A used 308GTB was there and had a dead battery. I and two techs pushed it for a bump start. Took several attempts, though, and since it was July, we were soaked in sweat. Love the F40!!!

I remember when I first visited Rome 20 years ago! Within the first hour as I went for my first walk from my hotel..a beautiful Red F40 drove slowly by! That remained my best memory of that trip!! Over the Vatican, Colosseum and even a Roma home game!

The F40 seriously started it all. It set the bench mark for performance in the 80's when it was released. Even by today's standards it's fast and its nearly 40 years old. That's what legendary cars are about.

The morning is better for supercars and hypercars. You're not even supposed to drive an Aventador in temps over 100 degrees it can void your warranty if you drive in 105+ temps. Fast cars don't do well in heat, so morning when it's cool is good for all these guys with million dollar hypercars or supercars, then they can get it back in the garage by noon if they need to, or they can go out and have fun after if they DGAF

A car that expensive should NEVER have petty problems like that. Especially if you bought the car brand new, tell Ferrari to fix it for you. No excuse for rubbish like that on a million dollar car.
Starter solenoids (and the entire starter) easily last the entire life of the car these days--even on high-mileage cars that were used for an enormous number of short local trips, putting lots of use on the starter.
An F40 Would be a great investment better start grinding on that stories channel. Time to fundraise for your dream car.

That video with his mom is what got me back then into exotics I was around 20, and the only videos and company I knew of that would boost exotics was UGR. 🙏
