    I'd like to see such an episode about Gitrog. My reasoning:
    1. Just lately built a Gitrog deck.
    2. I want to help you with the algorithm and I doubt one can explain Gitrog dredge in under 10 mins.
    You're welcome guys, ILY and your content. Keep it up!

      That combo takes a good half an hour to explain lol

    I've ran rings and basalt for so long in one of my decks but never could explain the combo despite looking it up online so many times. Thanks for making me understand how it works finally haha

    I play a similar Brago deck in casual EDH (less stax, more ETB value), cool to see it adapted for a cEDH meta. The deck is very commander focused and you should be wary of casting Brago without any way to protect him. My playgroup sees him as a kill on sight commander, because if you can get one attack trigger, you're probably going to start snowballing in value. (Edit: spelling)

    • @kyubikirby
      @kyubikirby 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same with my group I've been playing with. I've only played my Brago deck 4 times with them, and won 3 of the times because they couldn't get him under control fast enough. if I get to attack with him, it gets real hard for them to win, and he just takes over the game.

    • @nikk0k
      @nikk0k 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@kyubikirby Brago is my 2nd most played deck, and even with it's budget and casual (my group plays strong casual decks, but not competitive) it has won on Turn 3. T1: Island + Sol Ring + Altar of the Brood, T2: Plains + Brago, T3: Strionic Resonator, attack with Brago, "infinite" mill from Strionic + Sol Ring + Altar of the Brood. If you can attack with Brago, there is a strong chance you can win on the spot, or gain an insurmountable lead.

    Confounding Conundrum seems solid in this deck. Strong stax piece that draws you a card every time it is blinked.

      I'm also testing Yorion as a Companion

    • @Miatatrocity
      @Miatatrocity ปีที่แล้ว

      Yorion cannot be played as a companion in Commander, due to the deck size requirements. He can be in the 99, but since his ability returns at end of turn, it's not viable for a loop.

    I'm curious about K'rrik decks. A lot of those decks are running the only-black-mana cards that are basically cantrips, but if K'rrik isn't on board, those don't feel good to cast. Plus, being a mono-black player whose deck is still at power level 8-9 (hard to judge, based on opening hands) and wanting to bring my deck to a solid cEDH level, I'm curious how the deck plays. And most decklists on TH-cam are for the casual ones, or lean hard into K'rrik's phyrexian mana to cast weird things that normally don't do much in cEDH.

    Can someone explain why O-Ring and parralax wave are featured here? Bargo can't make them unconditional removal, the normal trick due to the text being separated with a full stop, so is it just the value of being able to change targets by bouncing?

    Thank you guys for this great video deck tech! I would highly recommend to include Thassa's Oracle. It is the main win condition in my Brago (semi casual-)cEDH deck, because it is so easy to draw the whole deck with the Strionic Resonator Combo and carddraw ETBs. Here is my decklist:
    deckstats.net/decks/5512/869298-uw-brago-flicker
    Btw: I love the way you guys introduce the worldwide commander community into cEDH! Other people of my playgroup and me (We live in Germany.), are watching every episode. Great job! Keep it going! And, of course, stay safe in these crazy times...

    instead of Basalt + Ring combo I prefer Peregrine Drake + Eldrazi Displacer (u need a colorless mana to run this). it gives an infinite mana and infinite blinks; from that you can win by Fascination, Venser or draw a deck with Wall of omens then play Thassa's Oracle. also u can try Mesmeric Orb with Basalt monolith :)

    I play it very similarly, however instead of winning through regular beats I also run Mortarpod. It is really strong on it's own as well as you can use it to snipe mana dorks in the early game as well.

    If I may, i have an oddly specific question that came up during a game against a friend's brago deck yesterday.
    He attacked me with brago, got his trigger and targeted the following: Brago himself, Meteor Golem and a Detention Sphere which at that point had my Clever Impersonator tucked under it
    My question is this, given the above - would i have been able to have my clever impersonator come back (due to the sphere getting flickered by brago and thus leaving the game) in as a copy of his meteor golem to destroy his meteor golem or not?
    My instict said yes, but we werent sure.
    Could anyone elaborate?

    • @PlayingWithPowerMTG
      @PlayingWithPowerMTG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it would come back. Detention sphere left the battlefield, and your impersonator would re-enter (as whatever you want, by the way).

    "Once you connect with Brago..." is way easier said than done. Brago's ability is too contingent on dealing combat damage to a player to be reliably useful. Unless you're playing 1:1 Commander, he's not that great. Here's my video detailing the Contingent Utility Scale: th-cam.com/video/qKYNiAEnthA/w-d-xo.html
