I like the small details like that aluminum tube that sits in the stock protecting the stock from the heat of the barrel! What a great rifle, too bad the straight pull didn't gain as much popularity as other actions.
It was a design truly ahead of its time. I know the Swiss love their neutrality but I do wonder how well they would have done in combat with these rifles...
The collar at the end of the stock is just to reinforce the stock since there is space between the barrel and collar resulting in a semi free floating barrel, the later K31 does the opposite with the end of the stock and hand guard clamped directly to the barrel by the front barrel band with no aluminum insert.

I have a friend in cz which has 2 of them... on is modernized and the other is kept simple, apart from a nice optic for hunting. Beautiful Rifle.
I have one In my possession but only the mechanism as the wooden body was lost
Find a stock for it, EBay has a great selection and if your up for it, US Inletting and gunstocks makes very nice high end stocks.
