I’m really enjoying mine. I bought it to be able to trail ride with my kids as my YZ250X isn’t the best bike for slow speed running. Now I’m finding myself riding the TTR a lot more as it’s actually better suited to my terrain than the YZ. The YZ is still way fun, just not as versatile as the TTR.
How much do you weigh? I am a beginner rider and been riding a TTR125L (big wheel) all summer and find I need something bigger BUT don't want massive power and a heavy bike. I use it mainly at camps and the odd trip out. I am 6'2 , 208lbs. Also need it to fit in my truck box (5'7") with my TTR110 and gear
We are similar in weight and the TTR230 doesn’t feel heavy when you are riding it. We’ve also got a TTR 125 big wheel and I find the 230 is more comfortable to ride and the increased power is definitely noticeable. But the 230 is very smooth and manageable in slippery terrain. It’ll putt along in 1st gear at very slow speeds without issue. While the seat height is a bit talker it’s still very manageable with a 30” inseam. I have a 6’ bed on my Tacoma and can close the tailgate if I place the rear of the 230 off at an angle. In an extra short bed you might be able to angle the 230 and still fit the 110, especially if you’ve got a full size truck with the added width. I’ve hauled my 230 with our TTR125 in my Tacoma together but I left the tailgate down. But, if I did that a lot and was driving long distances with gear in the back I’d get one of those bed extender racks that sit on the tailgate.
I generally see 1 or more bears, either black or brown every two weeks. We’ve got a lot more bears within city limits than than we had in the 80’s and 90’s.
One of the best bikes made and very underrated.
Totally agree! 🤙
I had a TTR 230 growing up and it was the perfect bike to have fun on but not get into too much trouble.

Looking forward to some more ttr action 👍

How many bears do you have to deal with in Alaskan terrain
