  • I really can't stress enough how fantastic of a vehicle this is with the manual transmission! Really love the 5 cylinder!

    I'm buying this car tomorrow and wanted to learn more things about this car before I actually purchase the car and I have to say hands down the best review I've seen thank you so much all questions were answered

    Quality in these cars was and still is amazing for the class they're in, I tried so hard to find a like 2010 or 2011 Golf 2.5 loaded like this and it is literally impossible. They all have hubcaps and are equipped like rentals.

      Its strange because when we bought ours new the dealership had plenty of nice loaded 4 door models yet last year when I was helping my ex car shop we couldn't even find a half decent one that had a center arm rest or alloys.

      @@Jakeman21642I know this comment is 10 years old, but I just bought a 2010 2.5 Manual golf and know the struggle. The car is amazing and I love driving it, but it has no center console or armrest, steel wheels, no steering wheel buttons, no bluetooth, etc… This was the case with most of the golfs I looked at. I looked at a 2009 just like yours, and it was perfect apart from the fact that the check engine light came on and the car started shaking and misfiring on the test drive lol😂

    Great car! There is a reason why the compact cars are refered to as the "Golf-range". At least here in Norway. It's simply the original great compact car.

    I just got a 2008 Rabbit 2 days ago with 150000km on it. Drives like new. Cannot stand the blue dash lights. Anyone know how to change em to white? They are so dim.. I can ever barely see the Speedometer and Tachometer during the day. Cannot find anything on TH-cam either.

    3k RPMs at 80? Odd, my 08 Jetta 2.5 5mt is rolling about 3350 @ 80mph. Not sure how well mine is gonna fair like that on my roadtrip from MS to PA. Been a solid car since I've had it despite that.

      Its not a bad thing for a car to rev high on the highway, a lot of times its still in its peak power band. Volkswagens are well insulted too so you can hardly notice

    • @shadowwolf74
      @shadowwolf74 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea it is nice being in the power band in 5th gear. Most times you can pass without even shifting. It seems to just be a higher revving engine. I don't mind, the engine note is wonderful at those RPM's. I'm running Rotella T6 5w40 and it's smooth as buttah.

    Does this have a timing belt? If s it should be coming up for a timing belt pretty soon, i think VW recommend ever 5-6 years or 70 thousand ks. Thats for the 2.0 fsi 4 tho.

    • @thezeek2745

      Chain. Just change your oil and it’ll last forever. There are plastic guides that need to be replaced after a while. They wear down

      Right above your left leg at the bottom of the dash and back a little. Sometimes the mounting bracket for it gets broken and maybe another owner had it tucked up somewhere in the plastic. Take a look, its there somewhere
