Everyone's talking about the scream at 4:07, meanwhile I'm here just gawking at the amount of tragedy that builds up to it from 3:10 onwards. The way those drums suddenly stop and the piano enters makes it sound so lonely. Perfection.
Yesssss. And towards the end, before the small instrumental outro... everything just.... implodes in on itself into disintegration and everything just... stops.
Me calmly just listening through: "I love the calm vibes they're giving" The drop: "𝐑𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐇𝐇𝐇𝐇𝐇"
i love this song so much because of the fact that's its sort of a roller coaster of emotions, the beginning is slow and calm, then the middle is loud and hard, and the ending is dramatic and epic.
MalySports It's beautiful... the perfect balance of slow and soft to hard and close is one of my favorite things about this song! And that scream... so much emotion o.o I've never legitimately enjoyed a scream in a song, until Everglow.
This song has contains 4 genres (Electronics,Piano,Metal and Orchestral) at onces - 0:00 Electronic section - 3:13 Piano sections - 4:08 Metal sections - 5:51 Orchestral sections
Those last few chords will haunt you. I cannot be more serious when I say this song, this band, knows their songs are epic, so how do they top off Vessels? Give us a roller coaster combining elements from the prior songs and give us that soft yet, transcendent notes that stick with us long after the song is over. Overall, Starset isn't Shiro Sagisu, but they know how to make the worlds most epic songs ever, of all time.
Hey Vengeance, first off I know this reply is 4-5 years old so I know you probably won't respond. So I completely agree with you that they know there songs are awe inspiring and awesome. An intresting part of your comment is when you said at the start that the final chords were going to haunt me and I wanted to know somethings. What part of the song is supposed to haunt me? How did it make you feel when it haunted you? What am I looking for so it does that? Thanks ahead of time if you respond to this comment.
I think of different memories when I hear these songs. I also think of how beautiful this life is and that not everything is ugly. I love this band so much, it's not even real and these songs are some of my favorites of all time now. Fantastic band and fantastic album!!
Except for the truly amazing music, a thing I love about Starset is that they have longer songs, not ones that finish in 2 minutes. I'm just so in love with these band
I think Starset makes their songs the length that fits the particular song and this is why nobody thinks "I wish it was longer," because it just *fits*
One of the best songs on the album...I love the soft part around 3:40 or so, and then it builds up and explodes into something so emotional, uplifting, and gorgeous. I actually started crying because it moved me so much. Bravo boys, you have outdone yourselves.
At first the ending caught me off-guard, but now after a few dozen more listens I realised that within the context of space and "everglow", it's as if Starset demonstrated, through sound, the concept of a supernova. A star, whose everlasting glow gets closer and closer to dying off, has a final moment of pure and raw energy being expelled before its end. Meanwhile, from our perspective it is nothing but an everlasting glow as our lifespans are not even close to a sliver of the lifespan required to watch a star's glow die out in full.
This song evokes such powerful emotions from me. Not necessarily in message, more in the sound. Most often I feel a sense of mourning for something I can't even identify, and then at that moment we all know so well in this song, I feel blind panic, again not for something I can identify. It makes me think of a person that was looking for something up to that point, and then suddenly realized they will never find it - they're lost and have no idea where they are, or even what they seek anymore. Picture a person physically running away from their own darkness, as if they knew it was chasing them the whole time, but it only suddenly felt like a threat.
I lost my spouse of 14 years 5 months ago. We were both 32 years old. What you describe is a feeling I never experienced before my loss. Everglow for me invokes mourning so deep that it needs to be frozen. You also know you have to thaw it to get better. This cycle of fighting and fleeing represents this song for me, all under the Afterglow of my dead wife.
Numbing chills that make you feel as if you're being lifted off of the ground; weightless. A pounding heart that is the only reminder that this is reality. Rapid change in pigment whenever opening your eyes; unable to blink. That is the Starset effect. That is why this is in my top five favorite bands.
Omg, after listening to this song for sometime, i keep finding more and more depth in it, for the beginning part, you feel as if you're drifting through space, then he starts screaming which feels like a ship entering the atmosphere at high speeds and then when he stops screaming you hear a crash, which i think means that your vessel crashed o_o whoa
Scrolling down through the comments, waiting for the negative critique on Everglow. I guess Starset silenced everyone with this amazing end to Vessels. And that scream. I love that scream
It began with The Order. He ordered himself to find you. He traveled near and far. As high as a Satellite. Searching, and hoping, To catch your Frequency. He'd do anything to find you. He would even Die For You. He felt like he traveled in circles. He felt like he was going to Ricochet. In his dream's, He saw your Starlight glowing. He hopes to find you. Even going Into the Unknown. He felt himself getting closer and closer. Feeling compressed by the Gravity of You. He sometimes felt like giving up. Like he wanted to fall Back to the Earth. But when push comes to shove, He would rather be the Last to Fall. He feels a barrier between you and himself. He desperately tries to start Bringing it Down. He felt himself going mad. As if it was his Unbecoming. This journey slowly driving him to insanity. He felt like he was the real Monster. He wished he didn't have to travel this long. He wishes he was Telepathic. But all hope is not lost. For he see's your Everglow. You give him hope. You give him energy. He will fly through the universe, Into the outer space. He will find you. If your near or far, Where ever you are.
Lol, I can just picture Dustin sitting on the other side of this song with a troll-faced grin, lol. Like, 'I know what I'll do. I'll lullaby them into a false sense of security with this beautiful song. And then just when they're at their calmest and most chill-AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!' 😆 lmao. 'Then if they survive that, I'll reward them with this gorgeous atmospheric outro. 😇' haha.
Tell me what you guys think, but I'd say this album is pretty sick. I'm not gonna' pick favorites. I've only just heard Vessels once. I'd like to point out the amazing versatility Starset has demonstrated here. I was expecting something similar to Transmissions, and we got something totally different. People are freaking out because this album doesn't follow the same linear storytelling style that Transmissions does, but I personally love it. Transmissions felt like a journey with a clear goal. Vessels on the other hand, feels like a labyrinth. I'm beyond impressed with Starset right now. Amazing pair of albums they've made. I already want the next one, but I think I'll be able to survive for a while on two full albums. Keep up the good work.
BladesArisen I support the theory of the "labyrinth" idea. Mostly because imagining these songs feels like youre floating through spaces with no clear end point.
there is a new good, talented, innovative, noncommercial alternative metal band, and one that doesn't sell out either. They're called Starset, and they're keeping rock alive!

I never really listened to this one song for a long time until now I don't know why but when I listen to this today I fell like there was a deeper meaning to this and I started listening to it a lot and made my own story to this song.
Heroes come and go, Rise and Fall, and not all aquire the ending they deserve. Our hero did everything he could to find you. He took many lives, burned many bridges, and more than once casted himself into the black & unknown void to save you. He broke himself to pieces to heal you. You were everything he knew, and he would and did go infinite lengths to protect you. But he failed... And he's not supprised. He knew from the beginning he had already failed. But he loved you so much, he tried anyway. And now here he is. In pieces. In the end, there was no real threat. No government plot, no aliens, and no war. In the end, he was his own enemy. He became his Demons, the Carnivore, the Monster. But perhaps all hope is not lost. The void is infinite and so is the multi-verse. You are still out there. Waiting. Calling. He still feels your energy.
Yam Master Master that is beautiful it touched my heart and soul many people don't believe in the power of God heroes sacrifice themselves for the sake of other people and if what u wrote is a joke it's not funny I'm just saying the it's amazing and beautiful like I said a hero will do anything to protect you and other people.
GOD SO GOOD !! This one is one of my starset favourite songs ever. Very melodic with a very calm and an awesome introduction and then a confusion and heaviness, great mix! Reminds me of RED!
I listened in the order of the album playlist. I mean, songs are put in order on playlists and albums for a reason, right? Even if that reason is random, still in an order.
This is the first song that leaves me staring at nothing after it ends. Its like i found THE song ever. Truly a masterpiece. Love you Starset. - Hope this feeling Everglows.
Every hair on my body, one by one stood up while listening to this. God I didn't listen to starset in like 4 or 5 months and I forget how incredible their songs are.
I swear to God, Starset doesnt have guitar solos, but they make it up with their bridges. Its so symphonic. Every Starset song has a bridge that connects two choruses. This song has a bridge, but as screen turns white and music silences, its so peaceful, almost like you died. Moments of silence before Dustin screams in terror and repeats the bridge a few times makes me think that this song doesnt have an end, there is nothing after the bridge, only more bridges. Only way to get off the bridge is to go back and to listen to the entire album again :) Also I feel like the repeating bridge may the conscience of someone carrying a persons last words with them after they died,
Starset thank you so much for all these amazing songs, I really can't wait to hold the album in my own hands and the beanie I ordered. I hope you guys will make it far.

Yep. I listened to this at 2am and it really hits differently
Yesssss. And towards the end, before the small instrumental outro... everything just.... implodes in on itself into disintegration and everything just... stops.
Notice the crash at the end of that part, then the song transitions to a song that sounds like ascension to heaven
I got a commercial right before the scream. A build up to a commercial really killed it for me this time.
I think this will be that special track on the album everyone overlooks then eventually realizes how amazing it is.
Point of No Return was Transmission's special overlooked track.

Everglow is by far Starset's worst song. Yeah, I said it.
@DreamHax Seems fair
It began with The Order.
He ordered himself to find you.
He traveled near and far.
As high as a Satellite.
Searching, and hoping,
To catch your Frequency.
He'd do anything to find you.
He would even Die For You.
He felt like he traveled in circles.
He felt like he was going to Ricochet.
In his dream's,
He saw your Starlight glowing.
He hopes to find you.
Even going Into the Unknown.
He felt himself getting closer and closer.
Feeling compressed by the Gravity of You.
He sometimes felt like giving up.
Like he wanted to fall Back to the Earth.
But when push comes to shove,
He would rather be the Last to Fall.
He will fly through the universe,
Into the outer space.
He will find you.
If your near or far,
Where ever you are.

wow
is this a theory
GOD SO GOOD !! This one is one of my starset favourite songs ever. Very melodic with a very calm and an awesome introduction and then a confusion and heaviness, great mix! Reminds me of RED!
Francisco 96 Yes Red another great band.
This truly a *"space-ial"* song

I listened in the order of the album playlist. I mean, songs are put in order on playlists and albums for a reason, right? Even if that reason is random, still in an order.
Dragonette Eye same xD
I am in actual physical pain from how happy I am. Starset simply can do no wrong. My heart is exploding
This is the first song that leaves me staring at nothing after it ends. Its like i found THE song ever.

This is a movie trailer song. It's just so deep. The layers of this song allowed me to take my imagination and make my own story in my head.
Have an nice day every one, life could be hard, but have a good time enjoying it.
Legit think this is their best song. It's so fucking ethereal

Oooooooh I'm mad, TH-cam just played an advertisement right when it was going to drop!
there's something so ominous with the background and it helps the song convey the emotions perfectly. i freaking love this band
he screamed for about 25 seconds holy crap
Starset is my go to music when ever I watch our star's, listening to their music block's out everything for me, it's peaceful , I LOVE this band!
*they are so fucking underrated*
I agree
This is what something wicked should have been. An insanely long masterpiece
Fr, Something Wicked is also a banger, but it's so short. The silence and whispers at the end perfectly set a foreboding tone though
always my favorite Starset song
Here comes starset with the world's best fan base and even better, two amazing albums in a row!
This band is in a league of their own. My gosh 💙
A moment of silence for the people who still haven't found this amazing song
Every hair on my body, one by one stood up while listening to this. God I didn't listen to starset in like 4 or 5 months and I forget how incredible their songs are.
"We do it one by one"
I apologize for the reference to infected, I had to, but yes, I agree
Why this song doesn't have a million likes, it's perfect.

You Leave Me Frozen...
You Leave Me Frozen In Time...
Only way to get off the bridge is to go back and to listen to the entire album again :)
Also I feel like the repeating bridge may the conscience of someone carrying a persons last words with them after they died,
You won’t find one single song quite like this 🤯
unique piece of art
Didn’t feel this song before & now the meaning is coming in loads.
listening to this entire song instead of skipping after 3 minutes was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
decades ahead of their time
Sometimes I forget how incredible Starset is until I listen to them again. They deserve way more credit and recognition than they get.
The name of this song is a metaphor for Starset themselves. Their music is godly.
Starset thank you so much for all these amazing songs, I really can't wait to hold the album in my own hands and the beanie I ordered. I hope you guys will make it far.
Noccaelum You got a Starset beanie??!?? O.O
I can't believe this came out 6 years ago. I love this band so fucking much.
