Linkin park has two albums using only one single chord progression in the chorus... they are one of the most boring bands out there... and Enter Shakiri, well maybe I've heard the wrong songs, but if mot, they also suck ass
There's a lot of bands that do them in this genre and similar ones; they just don't tend to be this long. Project Vela comes to mind as one badn that does a lot of gap songs, and Linkin Park's Thousand Suns album has several as well.
IAA015 I am in love with all of the instruments in their songs, I hear violins in practically every song, and I loved Unbecoming's cinematic ending. They learned a lot from Red, if fact, this song sounds a lot like Imposter to me.
Honestly, yeah! For me, it's because Dustin sounds possessed in some parts of the song and then emotionally, mentally, and physically drained in others. The result? A story about a girl who has a monster inside of her that she's losing control over. She's struggling to snap out of it to tell her best friend to leave her before she does something. It's fun because each line of the song can fit with each character: the monster inside of the girl, the girl herself, and the best friend.
3:08 i still thought i could make it....MIIIIIIIINE...surrendeeeer you my...MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND...your...creature is in.....SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE DEVOURIIIIIIIIING DEVOURING MEEEEE ALIVE
No, they didn't. Nothing else in Transmissions came close to that either. If you believe view count is what makes a group great, you're deluded enough to not be a fan of Starset in the first place.
This is meant as a compliment to the lead singer of Starset, I hate to compare one artist to another because every human being regardless of whether they are an artist or not is incomparable, but the vocals in this song reminds me quite a bit of Deftones in the best way. Starset is one of my very cherished new favorite bands. < 3
If something that I wrote got made into a movie, I want them to do the soundtrack. I'm writing a series almost entirely to them. Starset is the perfect band for me to listen to.
I got this song recommended for searching scary rituals. It also fits to a ritual I dreamt that I had done it. It's definitely one of the most creepiest songs I've ever listened to.

imagine starset made a movie about space like the martian, and used vessels in it bro it would be my favorite movie. OR if starset talked to the people that make the show on netflix “lost in space” and add their own soundtrack to new episodes
Bro I could not have found this song at a better time. Needed inspiration for a character, and just when I thought I was gonna have to actually make one up from scratch, I find this song.
Still going! :) There's been some good albums this year but this one is my favorite of the year so far. Linkin Park's new album was a big disappointment to me. This will be my favorite album of the year until Breaking Benjamin and RED releases albums this year :P
The guitars are BB styled but Starset takes so many steps further with excellent use of synths and strings sections (a.k.a their cinematic rock soundtrack)- really BB is awesome but Starset is an experience of some deeper journey.
This shit is amazing! The whole albums is. The way they click as songwriters is phenomenal. My favorite album right now, I can't stop listening to it it's so addicting
seen them together when they came here. My god it was a perfect night!!! Seen them again with 3 days grace, almost as awesome haha. 2/2 for starset in my town. Going to be 3/3 when they come again hahaha

I really wish Starset would create a movie and use Transmissions and Vessels as their soundtracks only
well and the fact that they made lore for themselves on their website
Have you seen Monster's music video? I want that to be a movie.
As Nightwish did with Imaginaerum 💜💜❤
Well, Marvel and Starset actually collabed, they made a comic about Transmission album.
KazuII did they really? What’s it called? Is it just ‘Transmissions’?
This is absolutely nuts. That chorus gives me chills.

It's official, Starset doesn't know how to make a bad song
they know how to, they just refuse to do so
They refuse to fall into the void of making a bad song :)

You know Starset has an impact on you when you turn up the volume twice as high XD

honestly this band has the most original music I've heard

That must be why half the comments are comparing them to breaking benjamin

I agree. Their songs have a vibe no songs from other artists do...
Sharoon Aftab no
Now this is how you do an intro
Sack Of Potatoes the intro like horror
3:18 kills. Literally. It kills.
Can we all just take a minute to appreciate 3:37 plz

I love the doublebass drums + bass + guitar sound that follows. It is so dense. And so awesome...
I LOVE IT. However, I feel like you have to listen from 2:49 and build up to it to fully appreciate.
I SO agree 100%! That scream gave me so many effin chills!! Freaking genius!
Yes
Hmmm... That classic Starset ending instrumental... It nourishes me...

Starset is like the outcome of a Breaking Benjamin & Red hybrid band. Its just perfect!
IAA015 yes! so right!
Thanks man! You too!

IAA015 literally everyone says that!
I think it is actually impossible for Starset to make an imperfect song. The universe has blessed Dustin with perfect vocal chords.
This is the kind of music I can write heart wrenching stories to 😍
Oh my gosh, I know, right???
Honestly, yeah! For me, it's because Dustin sounds possessed in some parts of the song and then emotionally, mentally, and physically drained in others. The result? YES IVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THIS BAND
I like to envision stories in my head of what’s going on in the album while it’s playing especially with divisions horizons and transmissions.
I usually use their music for inspiration when writing. It’s quite good for the imagination
that "silly me" gives me chills every time I hear

100%%%%
YES i really want to learn how to do it
Damn...that build up of the bridge and the scream....i got shivers...
I wake to a ton of new songs! Yes!

Hell yeah! Who else loves this album? 😃😃😃
Alfredo Briseno dude
I know you love star set
But you freak me out
I do, maybe even more than Transmissions *___*

I like Vessels but I like Transmission more
This and "Frequency" remind me a lot of Breaking Benjamin. This album is a masterpiece. No doubt about that.
Shaffan D. You have an opinion too. Good for you.
You were wrong. Maybe your poor English comprehension simply makes you unable to understand the lyrics.

Shaffan D. This conversation has lasted longer than it should've. Why state your opinion as a fact?
When you leave your volume too high and starset blow your brains out with an epic tune 🎧🔊😲💢

Drop Tuning , Heavy riffing , black keys thrown in
this is so Breaking Benjamin
Love it
Sounds nothing like BB. Have you only listened to 4 different artists in your entire life or something?
If Starset and Red made a baby... it's this song.
Rob Graves is a masterful producer.
So Starset is basically a baby of itself?
It sounds like Fight Inside by Red to me
+ Breaking Benjamin
Literally my two favorite bands, lol.
Red line chemistry?
3:37 when the adrenaline rush kicks in
the lyric before the beat drops, " and now the lies collapsing" always gives me chills
The bassline in this is beyond incredible, matched only by the violin interludes and Dustin's raw vocals.
I can't get over the fact how underated this band is

The album is great, no words really.
I wish someday in the future Starset and RED will make a live or an album together.

it's so calm up till 0:12 then it's like OKAY IM AWAKE

Yeah LOL

This is the perfect song for one of the characters I'm writing in my book. This would make a great theme song for him.
Always listen to this song on the bus home
It’s such a good song
Also it sounds like “cinnamon” when Dustin says “silly me”
Lol

Just hearing it on the local rock station now and I bought the last two albums. Guess I need to keep on the youtubes.

Carajo Starset nunca deja de sorprenderme, que gran banda!!
I love that the chorus doesn't do the obvious thing at the end, which would be to end with "bringing it down, ooooon uuuuuuus!"
This song reminds me the downplay, however it's awesome!
Rock Music Diffusion well the lead singer is the same (pretty sure you knew that just making sure)
so? downplay was awesome!!
Well, downplay and starset have the same lead singer literally. Probably why.
They reminded me of the games Halo and Destiny :)
Nyxi same bassist maybe (Re DeChant)

I saw it in your eyes
I saw the creature deep inside
You opened up your cage
Pathetic insect
Drawn to flame
I'm falling apart
Inside your holographic heart
Lost souls dancing
And now the lie's collapsing
There's something inside you that isn't right
There's something that haunts your dreams at night
There's something that you have lost
And you're bringing it down
You're bringing it down
On top of us
I see the crimson thief
Hanging on heartstrings
Dripping bleach
Victim with hands in sleeves
Your lying swan sings
As I reach
I'm falling apart
Inside your holographic heart
Lost souls dancing
And now the lie's collapsing
There's something inside you that isn't right
There's something that haunts your dreams at night
There's something that you have lost
And you're bringing it down
You're bringing it down
On top of us

I knew your heart was plastic
I still thought I could make it mine
Surrender you my mind
Your creature is inside...

There's something that haunts your dreams at night
There's something that you have lost
And you're bringing it down
You're bringing it down
On top of us
