    Italy truly has many types of pasta, mostly as you point out region based. My parents were from Venetto prior to coming to Australia & I recall making home pasta & gnocchi in my youth- you can't beat fresh pasta. My son & daughter just came back from 3 weeks in Italy - they got to make & eat their orecchiette pasta in Bari with the 'nonna'. Then Rome, Bologna, Moderna & Parma - so many different styles of pasta - they had a great time - apart from the extreme heat. Then for something completely different Bolzano (where they came across their favorite Spritz called the Hugo Spritz - so refreshing in the heat) & the Dolomites. The great thing about exploring Itay is not just the vistas, culture, and history, but also the regional foods & wine/drinks. Really enjoyed watching this - must admit there were some kinds of pasta I was not aware of🙃 Grazie mille

    Our U.S. macaroni looks like your maccheroncini, no ridges. I don't think I've ever seen your maccheroni that has ridges. That was fun!

      @@inevitaly ur welcome. You left out my favorite, LONG Fusilli 💚🤍❤️ Anna in the bag are the only ones that make them now. They are the only one in stores here. They are so good. I was gonna make Ravioli Sunday but now I want long fusilli! Lol 💚🤍❤️

      Is there also a characteristic irish food ? And what would that be ? I don't think there is such a thing as Italian pasta with so many varieties and so many different names. 😊

    Finalmente dalle foto ho capito la differenza tra cappelletti e tortellini, in quanto molto simili. I fusilli li avrei chiamati elicoidi, almeno sembravano elicoidi dalla foto e non i classici fusilli che hanno la struttura d'attacco al centro. Gli strozzapreti pensavo fossero più simili alle trofie. Ah, e mancano le trofie nel quiz. Bravo Alan con la sua ottima pronuncia e l'attenzione alle doppie consonanti

    Divertente la cosa ! 👍😀 Ma adesso a proposito di alcuni nomi. Noto spesso qui su TH-cam che gli americani (e la cosa strana anche molti italiani che sono diversi anni in America) quando pronunciano la parola spaghetti, viene spesso fuori qualcosa come “spagheri” (le due T praticamente spariscono e lasciano il posto ad una specie di R). Poi ovviamente lasciamo stare linguine che diventano “linguini”, fettuccine la stessa cosa….eccetera. 😊

    • @inevitaly
      @inevitaly  ปีที่แล้ว

      Vero! Viene fuori più una roba tipo "spaghedi". Non ti so spiegare il perché 🤔

    • @aris1956

      @@inevitaly Comunque con questo test, almeno per quanto riguarda il riconoscimento dei vari tipi di pasta, molti italiani avrebbero le loro difficoltà nel dire l’esatto nome di tutti i vari tipi di pasta, tenendo poi anche presente che un tipo di pasta può anche variare di nome tra regione e regione.
