Nice job!!! I have a Chinese 3&1. Yup….. I was supplied with a bunch of burs, over cast, over spray, grit, loose bolts, and much casting dirt also. The price point dictates a thorough inspection of all components prior to any expectation of precision.
Well, dont feel bad. I bought my 7x16 from micromark around 2009 and I have basically rebuilt it twice or so plus there is always something new to deal with. I doubt I will ever be finished. So when your done then the real fun begins !
😭😭😭 if I may offer an option….. don’t get me wrong, I love these types of vid. Consider building a concrete lathe. No joke. You seem like a super badass…I mean that sincerely (I’m a f-ing coward for not dismantling a lathe and rebuilding it, I lack skills)…and you seem to have a dry sense of humour that I appreciate. So, as a badass that’s funny, that’s curious, that’s adventurous…. A concrete lathe could be your thing. I would watch the 💩💩💩 out of your concrete lathe series. I research real lathe but a 90y old Southbend still cost more than a can afford. A Gingery DIY “scrap” lathe is fascinating…but I want it BIGGER. Other YTer welding and bolting i-beams is another option. Concrete lathe is……magical. Anyways, love this vid of your 2nd lathe
Me, a sparky, thinking I don't know anything about how to fix lathes.... 3 seconds later a ground that is on an improperly prepared surface. I guess I knew something about fixing lathes after all.
Where I work, we bought Vevor power feeds as replacements for the millings, and they hold up pretty well to date !
Great Job on the little chineseum lathe :)
I am proud of you!
Thanks for creating!
Your content is awesome. I love your mind
Reminds me of different saws and machines I used to work with at a company.
No idea what you just did but I’m here for the whole show!😂😂😂😊

You are an absolute hoot! Having been thru a toolmaker apprentice program your use of precision measurement instruments cracks me up!
It’s cool to watch how you use a thing to make a thing for itself. And just overall thank you for letting us in to watch this metal lathe project.
Another suggestion is to get way oil. It's great for lubing but also great for preventing rust.
That was cool! I liked how you used the lathe to improve the lathe. It turned out really good!
I'm lost when it comes to stuff like this but I still want to support you and your channel ❤
Great Vid!
Thank You :)
Nicely done! Next project?
Wow!!! Cool and informative video!!! 👍

They included some foundry dirt! 🤣
Mini lathes are finally shipping with a qctp now?

Girl I have no idea what a lathe is but slay

It's a little bit ironic that a machining tool has some rough edges.
Oh hey I'm so bad at editing! Hopefully this comment is funny in a few months when my videos don't look edited by a toddler.
