On this weeks episode of screwing up things that engineers worked really hard on: I add heat shielding back to my engine bay so my cold air intake can actually be a… well you get it.

Is there a platform you use where someone could ask you a question about your transitioning process?
Thank you for answering this question, on my mind since I handled a Leaf Blower

Where did you come from leaf blower lady? You should be internet famous. This video was great fun.
You’re amazing Caylee. I love your presentations and I wish I was you. I would have been if things were different. Looking forward to your next video.
Wonder if it meets EPA regs? May run a bit cleaner on that mixture!
Love your posts. Intelligent, irreverent, curiosity driven fun!
And now we know! It started sounding sketchy at 10/1. Surprised it ran for as long as it did.
😂
Where do you think you’re a woman? You don’t talk like one. Women don’t cuss and swear like that.
Having worked on literally thousands of engines, rebuilding or replacing many carburetors, I'll say that the vast majority of after market carbs work.fine. when they don't it's usually because the metering lever height needs adjusted. Bear in mind that virtually every yard tool.carburetor is now made in China. Just about every one is a reverse engineered copy of a Walbro, Tillotsen, or Bing carbutetor. Zama, a Chinese company, is the maker of Stihl.carburetors. I should mention that every new carburetor requires adjustment for best performance. There is no such thing as a "factory setting" for carbutetors used on yard tools. Both mixture and idle require adjustments. Your blower certainly sounded like it could benefit from a slight mixture adjustment. Sure, it runs, but likely not as good as it could.
It's a little bit ironic that a machining tool has some rough edges.
They included some foundry dirt! 🤣
remember to neutralize with baking soda, otherwise it’s gonna flash rust almost immediately
I’ve seen people neutralize the inside by adding baking soda and water immediately afterward draining the vinegar
Since I let the reaction complete, I didn't have any issues with flash rust untill two days later when I left some de-greaser in the tank :P
This was cool, I’ve sent gas tanks out to be cleaned and re-lined before in the past but I like this idea of just doing it at home with something I likely already have setting around. Would using something like Evapo-rust work better? I’m sure the vinegar is cheaper tho
great video! very informative thanks
I've had nothing but good luck with the Amazon China carbs and parts. I have found that Hipa seems to have the best quality and usually for a good price too!! JMHO, your mileage may vary!!
Where I work, we bought Vevor power feeds as replacements for the millings, and they hold up pretty well to date !
I didn't know how well this would work but I bet it would be great for lawn mower blades
The two batteries for 99 and get one free tool is back right now, got mine yesterday.
I got a RP router free with the 2 batteries...😅😅
I've used those cheap ones several times. They worked fine. We use this equipment very infrequently so either you have to crank them up every now and then or deal with a gummed up carb. Finally switched over to electric/battery powered yard stuff and am not going back. Fought those little 2 strokes all my life and they were great tech in their day. For the home user the electrics are way better. I can mow my yard on a zero turn mower anad actually hear what's going on around me. Great Video, love your content.
I've bought OEM carbs and aftermarket/Amazon carbs. I've had good luck with both. Sometimes, the aftermarket carbs will have some oddity like the wrong size fuel line fitting, but they usually work OK.
Those are often hit and miss so maybe you just got lucky. thanks for sharing
I love you. Let’s get married
