I have a ‘24 Sport P550e Autobio that I’ve been driving for about four months. I’ve had a lot of SUVs over the years - Range Rovers (several Sports, a Defender90, etc.) as well as a slew of BMWs (including the current gen X6M) - but the new PHEV Sport is my favorite by far. I hadn’t driven one when I ordered it, but I’d spent a decent amount of time in the PHEV X5 and assumed it would be similar. In my experience, the Range Rover is even better. I think it’s the best looking SUV out there, the seats are otherworldly, and the performance is superb. My daily commute is about 45 miles, so I’ve been doing it on electric only. Unlike the X5 PHEV, it never feels underpowered (but the gas engine *will* assist if I slam the throttle to merge) and is exceptionally smooth. The range estimates (usually 53-56 miles on a full charge) are pretty accurate, too, although I’ll be curious to see if that changes in the winter. Overall, though, I’m SO pleased. It gives me hope for Land Rover’s electric future.
I absolutely love landrover! I can’t wait for my 2025 Sport to Deliver this October! It’ll be my third landrover product and they’ve all been incredible! I can’t imagine driving anything else moving forward. I want to try the Bentayga though!
Cadillac, Lincoln, and infinity with their imax cinema screen from left to right will probably force range rover to do something similar for their future models. These big screens are crazy
Joe, how would you compare the level of sound isolation and quietness in the cabin of this Range vs. the Rolls Royce Cullinan you drove? Which one do you feel is better at it?
50 miles on electric hits the sweet spot. Nice to have ICE backup. But I really do believe IQ will be king of the road. So much incredible tech and design in that one.
I've been watching reviews on this car as I have had one on order for about 6 months and it is coming in about a week. First, this was a really nice review, well focused on design elements and a lot of fun to watch. Not sure about some of these crazy comments; Joe, you are hilarious, and I laughed out loud several times - so thanks for keeping it fun and interesting. Second, commenters certainly have some strong opinions about the brand, the looks, the name, the mpg, their favorite product that is not the reviewed vehicle (Caddy, Mazda, Lexus, etc.). Everyone's entitled, of course, but I have had one of the new Defenders for 3 years and it has been flawlessly reliable, and the RRS PHEV will something like the 15th LR/ Jag product we've had, and while there have been a couple that had some issues, on the whole I would rate the reliability at around 80-85% that of BMW on average (also had a bunch of those too). Thanks again, Joe - great job!
Hey Joe I'm so happy to watch your videos in Japan. From your videos not only I can get precious information about cars but also can learn English. Speaking of this car, in my personal value, Range Rover would fit more to a traditional luxury trim such as a combination of wood trim and leather seat like 2nd generation of Range Rover had in the interior. But I like that the rear wiper is located at the top of the window.
I really like Range Rover regardless of their issues of reliability. I personally don't and would not by an EV maybe a hybrid but not plug in. I see most manufacturers a scaling back on production of EV's for multiple reasons. Not a fan of the Black Wheels and fake vents are stupid. I have a VW Cross Sport and the gloss black is just horrible. I was wonder if I could get it wrapped with something else do you know if it is a doable Joe? Rear wheel steer is awesome and take off would be fun... Nice ride for sure.
I like this 2025 Range Rover Sport but I prefer the current 2024 Cadillac Escalade Sport Platinum. 2025 Range Rover is fast but it’s just boring and The tech is lacking🤷♂️
100% Behind your opinion about the Twizzlers joe! I feel like I'm biting into some candle wax too :| I'll check the comments, maybe there's a replacement candy I need to know about :D . Oh.. Nice car yeah...
@@Durrellsdreams1077if you want to spend money on repairs go for it but if you value your money get something else that will be reliable. This guy who you asked about his vehicle clearly has issues so he didnt reply to you
No one reviews a vehicle like you! You're my fave!!! Range Rovers are special and dreamy - but in my opinion - this looks a bit dated. Maybe I've been watching a few too many fancy car videos lately. LOL
I was originally set to buy the IQ but then bought a 2025 RRS PHEV instead. Why? 1) I needed the tax deduction for my business for this year and could not wait until next year for the IQ, 2) The IQ fully loaded will top $150K, 3) Although the IQ has an estimated EV range of 460 miles which is excellent for now, I think the range will double on the EVs coming out in a few years which will plummet the values of today's EVs, 4) There are too many reports of EV prices continuing to soften as well as the cost of lithium ion batteries, 5) No other SUV today compares in looks/styling to the RRS, imo + the IQ does not have flush door handles!
These are nice. I guess the reliability is always the elephant in the room with Range Rover. These Autobiography plug in trims are likely a better choice with the less sporty standard model. All that extra hybrid weight doesn't scream sporty in my book. Zonk! And, Joe, I was hoping you were going to demonstrate that 3 ft river fording ability during the test drive. Cadillac IQ is in another league, I think.
We just got the 460 dynamic, 535hp, it is unique, I still love my Ford f450 over some weak ass Range Rover, love my bad ass 450 over a over priced car that does zero, makes me zero dollars, what a waste of money
I own a 2024 Dodge Hornet RT plus and there are a lot of similarities in how these two vehicles are laid out. The seamless operation between EV and engine use. How the display shows all this. Now. Before the internet comes crashing down on me😮 I am NOT saying the two are the same. 😂
IMO, there are two main reasons having all the HVAC controls contained in the touchscreen is the absolute worst trend automakers are doing today. First there is no muscle memory as to button location like in a non-touchscreen dependent system. Which means your eyes come off the road every time you want to adjust something. Second, if that software crashes or a hardware element that supports the screen display fails - you now have no way to control not only the HVAC, but just about everything else. Stupid. Just plain stupid.
I wouldn't have a POS Range Rover if they gave the thing to me! I'd take an Escalade any day over anything with a Land Rover/Ranger Rover name attached to it.
The Cadillac Escalade Iq kicks this Range Rover to the curb IMO, the Iq's door to door (55-inch curved LED display) that spans almost the entire width of the dashboard is awesome with 4k and 8k resolutions and the leather interior is sublime. The Iq's have massage 2nd row seats and nice 12" entertainment screens for the kids or guests with Google built in. -------- While both are way too expensive the Iq is more eye catching inside and outside so if you can afford either one the Iq is nicer. ------------ I do like the Range Rovers power and that it is a hybrid but its interior is a mixed bag of nice seats but cheap black plastics and an info screen that looks super cheap like it was bought at Walmart and glued onto the dash. I don't know if Range Rover still has a lot of mechanical issues or not but over the years they have become known for lots of mechanical problems and expensive repairs and low ownership satisfaction ratings.

Hey Raiti! I was hoping for my birthday next month we could get the ultimate garage tour 🤞
Well, if it is your birthday then I will see if we can get it done. The challenge is the weather is so terrible this time of the year
@RaitisRides No worries, Joe 👍 If not, I could just take an autographed box of twinkies signed by the Raiti's Rides team 😀
