One thing I did to protect my work surface is to lay down a puppy training pad. They are quite large and are absorbent. You can re-use it quite a few times so you’re not wasting them. Laying a plastic garbage bag down on your floor is also a good idea as a precaution.
Your cards are beautiful. They have simple clean lines and very attractive. I've been using alcohol inks and like playing around with them. your techniques are very helpful. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous cards! Have made some alcohol backgrounds, but wasn't sure about how to use them. So thank you for sharing your process, and the completed cards. 😊
Hi Ashley, I love working with Alcohol Inks. I noticed that you were blowing with a straw after using the blending solution. Tim Holtz says that you should not blow the blending solution or spray it.
Hey Ashley!! These cards art awesome!! I have a bunch of alcohol inks and yupo paper...after watching you...I just might have to get them out!! It does look to be lots of fun!!! Thank you for sharing!!! 💖💖💖💖💖💖
Ashley, I am watching your series backwards so I didn't have this comment for you before but then I also realize how old this video is and you may have already learned about this. What I wanted to tell you about is I always cover my work surface with freezer paper. First of it is is so wide and then it has a paper side and then the other side is a shiny side. So I love it when I can use it as a backdrop card later after I'm finished with all of my inking at that time. I also used to always put my lids back on but at this years creatvation Tim said that that's not necessary. I mean you wouldn't want to leave it all day or something but for a while it is fine. I did come across one one day that had the lid stopped up and I just pushed a pin through it and then it was fine. So hope any of this info helps you. You are doing a great job!!!
Thanks for showing us the process and your struggles with them. I have some sitting in a drawer I used once and didn't like how it turned out, but after watching this I think I should them again! I also love how you used only part of it with the white space!
That’s cute and thanks for sharing your artworks about alcoholic ink. Keep sharing your awesome ideas. ☺️💕👍🏻 Hello 👋🏻 I’m your newest follower.☺️👍🏻 God bless and please keep safe always.☺️🙏🏻
I’m not sure why that would be happening. I know that for Yupo art pieces it is recommended to use a Kamar varnish to keep the inks in place and protect them. Maybe try that?
One of my favourite things to do is to lay a piece of foil over the inked background once it’s dried. There will be some sticky areas that the foil will stick to. So pretty.
Loved them all! I'm still really enjoying your videos! Are you going to try the foil with the alcohol markers like everyone all over TH-cam. My Yupo paper and alcohol inks are still sitting in their packaging in a drawer. I tend to do that lol. Thanks for the video. Looking forward to more Ashley :)
I do plan on doing the foil technique this week! It is a very popular technique right now and I have wanted to try it since I first saw it. I am waiting for my foil to arrive in the mail (supposed to be here Wednesday) and then I will make a video. So it will probably be Friday’s video 😄 thanks for watching and commenting, it is good to hear you are enjoying the videos!
I just tried alcohol inks for the first time too!! It’s fun!! I did the exact same thing though. I was liking a piece and I should’ve left it but I added more blending solution and it was all over. I took it that step too far. I even tried wiping it off with alcohol and start over but it just didn’t work out. I ended up liking the one my kid made way better than mine so I used his creation for my card instead. 😊 I’m still trying to figure out my, “just leave it alone” point.
WORKED WITH A/INKS/ YUPO PAPER LONG TIME, WHILST INKS STILL WET, LAY SOME PLASTIC WRAP OVER PAINTING LEAVE TO DRY COMPLETELY, BEAUTIFUL IMAGES WILL BE THERE.. HAVE FUN. THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO CAMILLE AUSTRALIA

liked your tip of using the pick me up tool for little drops of color. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your experience. It was helpful to hear that you can redo a page if you don’t like how it turned out. These cards look amazing!!

Gorgeous cards! These are my exact style. I never did hate the one you hated, LOL! You did a fantastic job!!!
Thank you 😄 I think I just didn’t like it when the yellow and the purple colors mixed too much but I did end up liking it in the end!
My wife has just started using alcohol ink on Yupo paper. But it doesn’t seem to dry. And when it eventually does, it smudges. How do you stop that?
I’m not sure why that would be happening. I know that for Yupo art pieces it is recommended to use a Kamar varnish to keep the inks in place and protect them. Maybe try that?
@@AshleyTuckerDesigns Thanks Ashley, will give that a go.
@@jlawatts just try to let the ink dry as much as possible before varnishing
@@AshleyTuckerDesigns Thank you 👍🏽
Very creative! Thank you for sharing!
I am now subscribed and cant wait to see what's next!!

That’s coming up in a future video!
Thank you. I really like your demo. Lovely.
Thank you love the cards
Great cards! People say you should use a hair dryer on lower heat to prevent what happened to you. HTH 😎
Wonderful! Just discovered your site - love it.
Where do I find those wonderful word dies?
Thank you Jean! It’s been a while since I made these so I don’t quite remember all the dies but they should be listed in the description!
Hi! I’m new to your channel. I really enjoyed your video. Can’t wait to watch more. 😘😘
I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😄

I don’t really work with canvas sadly. Maybe someday I will learn but for now my focus is cardmaking 😊
